^^I saw that, and nakakairita naman kasi not because hindi niya nagustuhan yung movie. Napakapretentious. Ni hindi nga movie review yung ginawa niya, puro inis lang at pagyayabang na hindi daw siya target market. Ewan ko ba sa mga Pinoy ngayon, porke gumagamit lang sila ng mga english words na bihira marinig e feeling professional critics na. Yan tuloy, kahit yung mga hindi nagustuhan yung movie nainis sa review niya hehe

Read it too. He is elitist - pero hindi naman sya part ng 'elite' society. Sakit nya sa bangs. No wonder ang daming galit sa comments section - it wasn't really his comments on the movie na pinulaan, it was his overall arrogant, indifferent attitude that was written all over the so-called review. At hindi pa talaga nya pinanood yung first two, given he was already aware that this was the third installment of the story, pano sya gagawa ng comprehensive review? kalurks.


naloka din ako sa mudrabelles ni Laida, ang bilis maka-fly sa Canada! Gusto ko din ganun ako pag nadepress, major fly overseas. Hehe. Pinaka-touching scene nga yung sa videoke. Yung pag-iyak ni SG dun tagos na tagos, kita mo na may pinaghuhugutan na sya.

I googled top grossing local films. #1 sistetaras woth 342m, #2 praybeyt benjamin with 330m, #3 no other woman with 273m.  To date, #4 it takes a man.  Sana nga malampasan nya sisterakas.

ITAMAAW is the best movie so far!!! Walang dull moments sa movie na ito. Naiyak at natawa rin ako. Sana nga may 4th installment pa. I'm not a fan of Sarah G. pero gusto ko iyong acting niya masyado akong nadala...

The rejection that paid off
Ironically, the Miggy-Laida characters were conceived because of a rejection.
The producers originally planned to have John Lloyd and Sarah star in a remake of Sharon Cuneta’s 1981 hit debut film “Dear Heart.”
When Sharon frowned at the idea, saying that the first movie that launched her career was too near and dear to her to be re-told, the producers went back to the drawing board. That is when they saw the opportunity to create something fresh and original that the viewing public would cherish.
Their efforts paid off.

I have read the Rappler review as well and what's funny, more of annoying, is he kept on saying that romcom is not his thing and yet he attempted to watch it on the first day. Hehe.

Anyway, I also hope the movie's earnings surpass that of Sisterakas.

Finally! I was able to watch it. I laughed, kinilig and cried over this movie. Touched ako sa scene when finally Laida was able to forgive her father. At first, aakalain na yung parents niya ang hindi pa reconciled, parang civil lang - yun pala Laida and dad ang may gap.

Anyway, ang hindi ko lang nagustuhan sa movie na 'to e ang uber tigas na wig ni Sarah (very distracting) at ang haggard and chubby look ni JLC. BUT overall, this is a feel-good movie. Sino ba namang hindi mapapasabay sa bungisngis-tawa ni Sarah Geronimo. Nakakahawa!

Take home memories ko from the film:

1. How visibly comfortable JL and SG now. I loved it!!! Very different compared to the past 2 films. Tawanan, bungisngisan.. nagenjoy ako panuorin sila
2. Lahat ng characters lumutang. Tipong ako as a viewer, lahat sila naalala ko ultimo yung 2 lesser-known kapatid ni Miggy etc. Galing ni Direk! Ang guwapo pati ng foreigner boyfriend ng dormate ni Laida. tee hee!...
3. Zoila and friends!!! Joross is such a talent. Sana more projects pa sa kanya., Galing ng timing and subtle ang delivery ng lines pero swak sa comic value.
4. Dad and daughter scenes. Naiyak talaga ako specially when Laida forgave her dad. Tagos talaga (
5. "to be a good man". Loved it! Tama nga naman..at the end of the day, people will remember your values and not your wealth.

Congrats to the whole team of ITAMAAW!!!! Hati ang puso ko kung dapat bang may 4th installment or as is na dyan. Pero definitely more projects please for Sarah and JL!

Yung elder sister pala ni Lloydie sa movie is the ex-wife of Mark Gil, and mom of Sid Lucero. Galing!

Watched the movie with my mom yesterday. Napilitan ako, not because I am a hater or what., I'm just not into romantic movies kasi My mom was laughing yesterday while watching. I can tell she enjoyed.

I was just bothered with Sarah's wig and a scene na mali ang continuity ng wardrobe (close the door scene, it was the same wardrobe they were wearing during the time they met again sa meeting, yung bumalik si LAida sa office). Sorry I was a production designer before din kasi and very keen ako lagi sa mga details when I watch any movie

Overall, those who are into kilig movies should watch this. Also what's nice is that this is wholesome, I can even recommend it to my 12 year old niece who is into romantic stories.
