OHMYGOSH. Just came home from watching the movie and sobrang natuwa ako - natawa ko ng bongga, and since mababaw naman talaga ang luha ko, naiyak ako. at hindi ko inexpect na mapapaiyak ako ni Sarah Geronimo.
My comments, super haba nito
*Grabe sa improvement ng acting skills nya. Sarah really isn't a dramatic actress, kahit nga sa comedy wala syang natural timing. So I really didn't expect her crying scenes to move me in any way. Pero in this movie, tagos talaga yung crayola scenes nya - napaluha ako. I really saw the pain in her eyes, para ngang hindi na 'acting tears' parang totoong iyak na talaga - like she was 'reexperiencing' some kind of pain to make her cry like that. Kudos to their director... and kudos to life. Mukhang nagreflect na sa acting ni SG kung ano mang pain ang pinagdaanan nya recently.
*And can't help but comment on her diction - ang ganda. I know hindi sya ganun kagaling talaga mag-English before, pero the way she delivered her English lines here, napa-wow ako. Kung sino man nag-train sa kanya to speak like that, winner sya - dapat magtrain pa sya ng mas maraming artista. Hehe. And siguro din, dedicated learner talaga si SG kaya ganun yung result.
Natural ang flow ng pagsasalita, hindi pilit ang dating.
*JLC - I was not a fan, I really did not understand why so many people are nuts about him. Sure he has charm, and he looks good. Pero hindi ko noon ma-gets what it is about him that makes him a 'big' actor. Pero when I saw his movies, especially this one, like I told hubby, I hate/love how he can really make you think and feel like mahal nya yung kaeksena nya. It's a true gift. You see it in his eyes, and yung pagdeliver nya ng lines. Iisipin mo talaga SG and JLC have 'something' dahil sa makikita mo sa movie. Even the way he cries, it makes you feel like you want to reach out to comfort him. When he was talking about his 'making one mistake after another', parang feeling ko hindi lines sa movie, kundi lines sa totoong buhay nya. I'm now a fan of his acting skills.
And true chubbyness sya dito, pero all that, just made him more 'real' - hindi ba yung tipong unreachable actor effect. It went well with what his character went through.
*Zoila and friends - Aliiiiiwwww! Dami kong tawa sa tatlong 'to.
And true, si Joross, angat ang comedic timing nya dito over Gio Alvarez. Matet kasi was sarcasm naman ang peg. Wagi ang mga lines nya.
*Napanood ko yung bloopers, si SG grabe makatawa. Ayaw lang papigil. Hehe. Parang may kilig factor pa sya kay JLC - batang-bata lang ang feel.
JLC is really a good leading man, he knows how to draw the kilig out of the person he's acting with.
*Isabelle Daza. Ang ganda. Saka when she took off her blazer dun sa eksenang nagtanggal din si Sarah, hindi sya bastusin tingnan kahit halos parang masking tape lang na pinulupot yung suot nya. Hehe.
Elegante talaga.
The plot's still very predictable, very Pinoy pa din, pero I have to agree, direk Cathy did a good job with the execution. How she was able to draw that kind of acting from SG, that was enough to impress me.
I liked Laida 2.0, I know she seemed 'extreme' - pero come to think of it, this is how we women usually are after a painful breakup. Nagiging bongga, nagiging 'fierce', nagiging 'bold'.
