Budget allotment for your child's 1st birthday

Started planning my son's first birthday. Hoping to keep it to 200k for about 250 guests

meron ba ditong 50k ang budget for 100 adults and 30-40 kids? workable ba, pashare naman ng suppliers nyo. ok din sana sa fastfood kaso limited ang time eh. kaya i'm eyeing na venue & catering na lang baka kaya naman ng budget namin.

If it was just me Id rather just go to Disneyland Tokyo or Paris with baby and hubby. Either way my baby wont really remember it so doon nalang ako where i will truly enjoy and remember. But hubby likes to have a party so sige bahala siya magbayad lol. Were inviting 150pax max.

^gusto ko din ganyan sis magtravel nalang kaso peer pressure siguro tsaka pambawi na rin since medyo biglaan yung christening ni baby kaya madaming friends nagtampo.

^^ hay naku, ganyan din dapat gusto ko sa 1st birthday ni baby kasi ginastusan na namin ang binyag when she was about 3.5mos.. but yun nga, plans change. So eto, I'm planning my daughter's party na... kalurks!

^^^ sis ako din i'll go for travel nagyayaya din kasi nanay ko gusto daw niya makapunta sa universal studios japan makapunta sa harry potter. hehe.. siguro papaluto na lang ako then distribute sa mga close relatives pero wala ng party mismo.

On the travel stuff - We also thought of spending the budget sa travel nalang nung nag plano kami ni hubs for our baby's 1st bday but we realized na mahirap mag travel with a baby (that's just us ha), our activities would also be limited kasi nga may kasama kaming toddler non, so yun nauwi din kami sa party

Our little princess will be having her 1st bday party this coming Sunday, March 22. At first we decided to just have a small party then out of town na lang. Kaso relatives ni hubby ay uuwi from Canada and Chicago so we decided na lang din to have a big party. Almost 110k din ang nagastos namin, I don't know if madadagdagan pa by Sunday  The party will be held at Fun Ranch Pasig, tapos I opted to have a Candy Buffet. When I researched here for a candy buffet service most mommies recommended Andain's Candy Buffet by Ms. Ara Chua-Chan. She gave me a reasonable price for an event styling + candy&dessert buffet. We decided on Fun Ranch kasi andun na lahat: venue, food, host/magician, food carts, and the kids would love to play sa playdium nila. The event is on Sunday na so I'm hoping na everything will turn out great for my princess' 1st bday.

Nalulurky ako. Initially, ang si-net naming budget for baby's 1st birthday e 200k + 50k for the orphanage event. Pero after initial canvassing and research, mukhang aabot na kami 300k for the main party. That's for 200pax (adults & kids na). Hahayyy... ayan tuloy, nasabi ko ulit kay hubby na sana tinuloy na lang namin yung vacation abroad + orphanage. Oh well..

my budget is now at 200K for 150 pax (100 adults, 50 kids). my son's 1st bday party is in july. mga mommies, do you think mag-i-increase pa ba yan? i'm getting nervous though

usually yung mga miscellaneous details ang nagpapamahal ng party!

parties are too expensive na ngayon. Jollibee party can even cost around 60k to 70k. Kaloka lang.

what are the usual miscellaneous fees ba sis? para ma expect ko na. Parang im already at 150k for 80-100pax and 20 kids.

^ sa akin kasi souvenirs, prizes and giveaways ang laki ng napupuntang budget.

Additional stuff like upgrade sa food, cake upgrade, candy bar, branded food carts, additional decors sa place.

Pansin ko kasi kapag nag prepare ng party sa sobrang tagal ng preparation at research kung ano anong nice to have ang nakikita ang ending e ilalagay mo lahat and ayon ang laki na ng gastos.

^ that's so true, sis!!! I started with a 200k budget for my daughter's 1st birthday next month. Naging 250k, then now mukhang aabot pa ng 300k!! Waah!! Pero sinabi ko na kay hubby na di ko na talaga papalampasin ng 300k.. as in if me kelangan ako tanggalin o palitan, so be it. Basta yun na max ko..

^^ I agree! Mahirap talaga magstick sa budget lalo na maraming party blogs and Pinterest posts tayong nakikita. Sa totoo lang nakakaloka!

ako na yata ang pinaka-frugal na magpo-post dito hahaha ... 1st birthday kasabay pa binyag.  eat-eat party lang naman kasi ang plan ko since hindi kami mahilig sa program.  adult guests mostly find it awkward and upon counting, nasa max of 15 kids lang ang expected namin.

im considering to have the party at a resto pero apparently, parang mas matipid yata lalabas pag catered na lang <--- akalain mo yun?!

sa initial budget setting ko:
caterer = P15k for 80 pax
*P185 per head (beef, chicken, fish, noodles, rice, drinks). lola mamangs. tried them before and ok naman, masarap yung food

venue is around 8k, baka nga mas mura pa than that kasi depende sa duration ng rental
*UP Bahay Kalinaw

baptismal fee P300 to P1000 lang sa UP church or claret

other expenses will be for decor, souvenirs (both will be probably be DIY, sourced from divi) and photo/video. will have to research photo/video suppliers pa.

siguro mga 30-35k makakaraos na kami. i hope so!

bagaholic_chewy  and edaganda  - never ako nakasunod sa budget na niset ko for parties hahaha! From 1st to 3rd bdays ng baby ko as in laging over budget lalo na yung 1st birthday nya.

Matagal pa her 4th birthday pero we are planning na travel nalang since Malaki na sya at mas madali na dalhin sa galaan. Well sana nga matupad ko yan! LOL


^ sis wkt - ok lang yon. Kanya kanya kasi ng choice din yan. I know parents na they can very much afford to spend pero mas pinili nilang maging frugal at practical.

daughter just turned 6months kaya naglatag na rin ako ng plans for her 1st bday.

going for quantity ako over quality. haha

day 1 (3rd anniv na rin namin ni hubby so kakain lang kaming tatlo sa labas) = 2,000
day 2 (palunch sa office with cake din tsaka konting decor sa pantry) = 4,000
day 3 (uwi ng province, pamasahe + swimming with our immediate family members) = 7,000
day 4 (punta ng bukid, sa grandparents ni hubby dala lang kami ng foods, cake, balloons) = 3,000
day 5 (jollibee party good for extended family members and friends mga 50pax, giveaway, tsaka photog) = 20,000

So mga 36,000

^nice yan sis ha ganyan rin kami this year pero mas ok yang budget m. Marami ka "maisasama" sa celebration ng 1st bday ng baby mo.

@izabelle, true na pag maraming nakikita at mas matagal magprepare napapamahal ang gastos pero sa experience ko mas napapamahal ako pag sa simula e kunyari patipid-tipid pa hindi rin naman pala makakatiis magkakadoble-doble pa tuloy.
