hi mga sis! still breastfeeding for baby 1 yr and 9mos.
anybody have shoulder pains sometimes including collar bone because of breastfeeding? baby nurse longer at night before sleeping and then in the morning or middle of the night.

hi mga sis. nag breastfeed ako sa baby ko until she's 2 years and 4 months (grabe no?) and now, nag flat yung breasts ko at medyo saggy din. feeling ko dahil din pumayat ako.. babalik pa kaya to sa shape pag tumaba ako?

Sis Ayami, present!   before ako bumalik sa work we trained my son to drink in the bottle, at first ayaw niya talaga so nagpapalit palit kami ng bottle nipple hangang sa nagustuhan niya ang tommee tippie, akala ko okay na, after two weeks bigla ayaw niya ulit ang bottle, for one week... nag hunger strike siya, cry siya the whole day at sleep lang,magde-dede lang siya pag umuuwi na ako ng bahay kaya sobrang natorete ako, hangang sa may magbigay sa amin ng sample milk na may disposable bottle and nipples, pinainom ko kay panganay yung milk then ginamit ko yung bottle at sa wakas natagpuan ko na rin ang nipple na gusto niya, since then naging okay na si baby, bottle feed sa araw at direct feeding kami sa gabi

Ako din, since pinanganak si baby, isang beses ko palang siya na feed using bottle, sister ko lagi taga offer ng milk sa kanya sa bottle kasi pag buhat ko siya at hungry siya sinisiksik niya agad face niya sa breast ko

check you position especially if you are side lying. I learned from Arugaan that you should have a rolled towel on your back (i use a pillow) and you baby too (preferred rolled towel). you should have pillows between your legs for proper breathing.  try it, it might work then switch sides also.

Nagiincrease na milk supply ko 1 week and 4 days postpartum nakakapump na ako ng total 50ml per sitting. I pump for 20-25 minutes every 2-3 hrs. I aim to pump every 2 hrs kaso minsan nakakalimutan at nagiging 3 hrs.

Kahit di ko man mapalatch si baby, at least breastmilk pa rin iniinom nya so ok na rin. I am gonna quit being hard on myself. I mean, I will continue trying to make her latch pero di na ako iiyak tuwing di sya maglatch.

Just enjoy being a new mom its ok kahit hindi mo ma pa latch si baby kanya kanya style and pacing lang sa breast feeding.

Hi mga mommies:

Ayaw na mag latch ni baby sa akin Although since going back to work 2 months ago, I got him to latch at least once a day. In fact last Saturday ko lang napansin na ayaw na nya mag direct feed sa akin at all and just takes the expressed BM from the bottle.

What do I do? Realistically, I won't be able to get him to latch frequently and regularly anyway. Should I just be content in having him drink from the bottle from now on? I still pump regularly...pero from an emotional standpoint nakakalungkot lang na ayaw nya na ng direct feeding. What do I do to maintain my milk supply? Do I keep trying to latch him? How do I train him to latch ulit?

Very Sad.

An update:

Successful ako this morning mag direct BF. (feeling ko pag medyo antok pa sya at madilim at walang nakakadistract sa kanya, he goes by instinct and latches immediately. Pero pag fully awake at aburido na dahil gutom at maraming nakikita, yun yung ayaw mag direct BF.)

What I did was to anticipate baby's waking schedule tapos nung nag start na syang mag likot sa bed nya, I took him and got him to latch directly. I didn't turn on the lights pala para hindi sya madistract, and thankfully nag latch sya kaagad. Tonight susubukan ko ulit, baka tampo lang nya yung last weekend na di paglalatch...

^ Good to know.  Breastfeeding moms should really observe their baby's hunger cues and be attuned to the baby's moods.  Do not wait for the baby to get fussy or cry before offering your breast.

planning to breastfeed din.. 36weeks pregnant here.. and good thing na nung nag third tri ako, meron na nag leak na milk sa left breast ko, patak patak lang...  kaya lagi kong nililinisan ang nipples ko, kasi minsan tumitigas siya at nakadikit sa nipple, pag natanggal ko na yung timigas na milk, which is konti lang naman.. maya-maya mafe-feel ko basa na.

^That is good you decided to breastfeed your baby. One advice though is don't clean your nipples. You can let water drip on your chest to remove the dried milk. When you touch your nipples, it can cause premature contractions. Nipple stimulation is a natural method to induce labor. So please do not clean it now and even when you are breastfeeding. Let it air dry so it won't dry the area around your areola.

napansin ko din na mas maraming nagle-leak na milk sa akin pag nasa bahay lang, usually pag weekends, kapag naka cotton na t-shirt lang at walang bra compare sa maghapon naka bra pag nasa office

26 mos na baby ko pero parang wala pa siya balak tumigil  , everytime na sinasabi niyang "mom dede" natutuwa ako sa kanya, ang sweet ng boses ang cute! Tapos after niya magdede sobrang lakas mag burp, kakatawa siya  .. kahit magdede siya ng before lunch ang dami padin niya kumain ng rice.. pero di siya mataba.. 4 times siya direct feed, morning,before lunch, afternoon nap at bago matulog..

Sa mga matagal na nag papa breast feed pano kayo nag bre breast feed at nag pump ng milk pag nasa labas kayo? Hindi kasi lahat ng lugar my breast feeding area at pano pag hindi mo kasama si baby at puno na ng milk breast mo.

Pag mag babaon naman ng breast milk parang hussle kasi mag dadala ka pa ng cooler.
Kung mag babaon ka ng breast pump saan kayo nag bre breast pump kung walang nursing area?

^ I usually pump in the car. Pero malls nowadays have nursing lounges, baka pwede naman maki-pump don.

Sis cloudzy usually mall or office lang ako. Pag mall max na ang 6h na magkahiwalay kami ni baby bago mapuno ang boobs. Pag office may dala na kong pump, cooler, storage bottles at ice pack.

I went on a conference once and whole day yun kaya sa cr ng hotel ako nagpump.

mga sis question naman:

pure breastfeed ako pero thru pumping. sadly ayaw na ni baby maglatch sa akin dahil sa isang gabi na late ako umuwi from work at hindi siya nakapagfeed ng direct. ayun ayaw na niya, kinagat pa ako nun pinilit ko maglatch. hehe. gusto ko kasi magfeed directly kahit once a day lang kasi parang yun ang bonding namin.

ang tanong ko, normal ba na hindi magkaroon ng mens? hindi pa kasi ako nagkakaroon after nung 6weeks na blood discharge ko because of CS operation. eh 4months na si baby. alam ko na hindi ako buntis kasi hindi naman kami active ni hubby kasi hindi pa din bumabalik ang drive ko to do. hahaha.
