Baby is 9weeks already and yet ayaw pa din niya maglatch sakin. Lalo tuloy ako naddepress. :(
Okay naman milk production ko pero sana lang sakin directly nagfeed si baby. Hindi sa bote. Honestly, I feel irritated
pag iba ang nagffeed kay baby ng milk ko.

Sisses, how long did it took you and your baby, who got introduced to the bottle first, na masanay maglatch sa inyo?

My son is 7months old na, parang kailan lang isa ako sa mga namumrublema sa thread na to, went a lot, sore nipples, wrong positioning, walang napapump na milk, mas prefer pa ni baby ang bottle than maglacth sa akin, i think almost two months bago namin nakuha ni baby, tapos nung natuto mag latch baby doens't want na to drink in the bottle naman  nung bumalik ako sa work..etc... mixed feeding pa nga si baby from 0-2months pero never akong nag give up..sabi ko nga sa nipple ko, mamanhid ka rin sa sakit :D And now at 7months im so proud to say na EBF na si baby :) Practice lang ng practice sis.. and makakatulong talaga ang mga lactation consultant.. mabuti ka pa nga at okay milk production mo :)

@kaice, thanks sis. i checked kellymom nga rin and it says ok naman ang ampicillin but still i'm afraid na baka may maging effect kay baby ko kahit slight lang

^hi sis, do you direct feed? breastfeeding kasi works on a supply and demand basis, the more you breastfeed, the more milk you'll produce. if you keep giving formula, talagang di mag-iincrease yung milk supply mo 'cause your body will think that it's already producing enough milk.

^^ako sis when I had my daughter, I was so bent o exclusively breastfeeding her.  tapos yung lactation specialist na tumutulong sakin she really forbid na gumamit ng bottle for the first 2 months kasi she told me na the child will get used to bottle daw.  What she made me do, I would breastfeed my daughter tapos after ko pang magbreast feed she would ask me to pump both breasts pa... Initially akala ko din wala akong supply ng milk but later on ayun 1 year EBF naman si baby.

^might be nipple confusion sis kaya ganun. most probalby mas prefer niya na sa bottle since no effort siya sa pag-suck dun, yet makakakuha siya ng milk, also mas mabilis ang milk flow sa bottle kesa from our breasts. try dropping the bottle for now sis and just continue direct feeding.

3wks pa lang naman baby mo. Don't expect that your milk is overflowing at this point. The pumped output is NOT an indication if gaano kadami milk mo. And the more you supplement with formula, the more you won't establish your supply. The more hindi dadami milk mo. You need your baby to stimulate your breast.

^also better to pump before feeding time pero at 3 weeks, di pa advisable magpump kung nagla latch naman ang baby mo... hayaan mo lang sya. switch breasts para ma drain mo every feed. burp your baby every after feeding hindi yung offer formula agad pag iyak. and lots of positivity para maging successful :)

Buti pa kayo.. Minsan I feel hopeless na. Though may time na maglatch si baby sakin and suck from my breasts for a few minutes.. tapos sa next na try namin ayaw na niya ulit.

safe ba uminom ng supplements while breastfeeding? sayang naman kasi yung supplements namin dito sa house. concentrated chlorophyll ( calpsules ) and vit C with rosehips yung supplements.

^ i heard that breastmilke is still superior over formula milk. Since 10mos na, pwede naman na magsolids. That might be better combined with breast milk kesa mag formula

^He's been eating solods na malakas na kumain malakas din magbfeed ewan ko bakit payatot pa din. Ayoko sana talaga magformula. Im thinking pag inutos ng pedia I'll look for another doctor baka naman sa iba okay lang yung weight nya.

i have a lean baby... we still havent reached 10 kgs kahit 17 months na... there is a local chart for Filipino breastfed babies, you can print it and show to your pedia (check national nutrion council, ang tagal mag load eh) and tama, you can boost solid feedings and pag naging active, din a nakukuha ang hind milk kasi gusto na mag likot, you can pump this ang feed him thru cup or botthe

Hi mga sises :) my baby is already three weeks old. Like most of the mothers here im still struggling with my breastfeeding. on my 3rd day nag pump na ako agad and it was so frustrating kasa swerte na akk kung maka pag 1.5 ounce ako. mostly 20 ml or 10 ml ako super baba. on my second week bf pa din ako everyday since 3rd day ni baby puro may sabaw from breakfast to dinner and ulam ko (tinola with malunggay, nilagang baka/baboy) tapos supplement pa ako ng malunggay oil capsule (2 capsule every after meal)

on my second week nag increase ng konti yung supply ko 2 to 2.5 ounce for both breast. still i wanted more for my baby.  food ko puro may sabaw. will power ayaw ko magsawa ng ganong ulam kasi i aim for more breastmilk supply for my baby.

but my breasts were engorged, super sakit din ng nipple ko kakapump and direct feeding. so we decided to mixed feed with the permission of my pedia. i felt guilty giving my baby formula milk  nun first time nya, nag timpla kami ni hubby pero di rin namin binigay. eventually, i gave up, nagformula milk si baby, but i still have the intention to give him breastmilk so yung diet and malunngay capsule and nag didirect feeding pa din ako. i noticed na di na ako ganun ka stressed sa milk supply ko. lately im producing more milk. nakaka 4 ounce na ako every pump for both breast. im so happy kasi somehow dumadami ang supply ko. yesterday i bought fenugreek it might help siguro, ill see :)

kaya mga mommy wag masyado ma stress, i feel na yung takot ko na kulang yung milk ko and yung feeling na gusto agad dumami ang milk supply  ko lalo ako nahirapan. nun di na ako stress yung milk supply ko mas dumami.

kaya go lang keep pushing, kayang kaya natin magpa breastfeed :)

^yes it's all mind over matter. If you keep thinking you don't have milk, you really won't produce enough milk. Trust in your ability to nurture your baby.
