I'm a breastfeeding mom to my 14-month old son. Recently, I've discovered lactation brownies from Mommy Treats. I think it's packed with fenugreek and other galactagogues kaya ok siya for me. It increases my milk and satisfies my sweet tooth at the same time!

I also told my husband na in case may mga oldies na magcomment na o baka hindi enough supply etc etc, to stand by me and our decision.

Hi sis Oreo. Pareho tayo. Prior to giving birth, I told my husband that we are going to be taking the breastfeeding route. We didn't buy bottles, kahit pump, hindi muna (I bought one eventually after 2 months when my supply was established) and infant formula. When I gave birth, ang dala lang namin was a baby cup--as advised by Chiqui Brosas when we took her birthing class. Nagamit naman namin kasi my baby had a hard time latching kaya nanghingi kami ng breastmilk from the nursery. Like any new mom, my initial fear was whether my baby was getting enough milk or not, especially since direct feeding kami, I had no idea how many ounces he gets. Na kesyo, hindi daw matututong maging independent--all unsolicited advice, really, pero my husband and I persevered. Deadma lang kami talaga. In the end, you know what's best for your child kaya ikaw dapat ang masusunod.

I've been breastfeeding already for 32mos straight and almost 10mos of that is tandem nursing. Never thought I'll be able to do this this long considering I barely breastfed my eldest. With my 2nd child, I really made sure not to listen to other people's unsolicited advice and not to give up when it was a bit hard at the start

sis pink.sunshine i am not sure if clogged milk ducks yung na eexperience ko right now, but my doctor said earlier na magpamassage ako sa lactation consultant.

I told my doc kasi na bakit ang konti ng milk ko nagmamalunggay oil capsule ako 2 capsule every after meal so anim ako per day. I dont drink soda, water ako ng water mayat maya tapos tinola and maluggay naman ako or sinabawan na beef or prok ako lagi since i gave birth.. super effort ako talaga para lang madami ang milk ko for baby.

nakakadepress  kasi na konti ang nilalabas.

sino nakapag try na ng services of lactation consultant dito?

^i got the services of Zeny feliciano (try to google)

How many times does your baby directly nurse from you? And how old is your baby? And what made you say onti ang milk mo? It is based on your pumped output or feeling mo your baby is not satisfied every after feeding or less wiwi/poop from the baby?

Hi sis! Ako naman, it was Lita Nery who helped me during my time of need. She was referred by Chiqui Brosas when my husband and I took one of her birthing classes. Like you, I initially had a hard time establishing my milk supply. Either feeling ko my son is not nursing enough because he would be sleeping for 4 hours or more o kaya naman exagge siya mag-nurse (as in he would nurse every hour!) Thankfully, Nanay Lita was very supportive and informative. I learned a lot from her. She told me not to worry so much. Na, as long as may wet and soiled diaper and happy baby yung son ko then that means he is having enough. Pag newborn daw kasi, the baby's stomach is only as small as a 5-peso coin kaya konting-konti lang kailangan nila to thrive. She also taught me the proper way of latching. Na kapag masakit yung pag-feed then it means something is wrong because yung actual suckling daw should never be painful. She also said that if kaya, I should focus on direct feeding muna bago mag-pump until my supply is established although pwede din naman daw to direct and pump at the same time. She also told me to drink as many fluids as possible and i-try ko daw yung mga Mother's Milk Tea along with my fenugreek capsules. Most importantly, she taught me how to take breastfeeding one day at a time para I wouldn't feel so pressured.

Goodluck to you and congrats din for making the best choice for your little one! :)

hi pink.sunshine! i've experienced plugged ducts for both my babies. it happened to me nung newborn pa yung babies ko at hindi pa ganun kaayos mag-latch. i tried lactation massage to relieve the pain kasi sobrang tumigas na breasts ko and hindi ko talaga mapalabas yung milk on my own. after a few weeks na nasanay na sila baby na maglatch, ok na. :)

sis happyluck, tanong ko rin yung questions ni sis hunny_ally. the amount of milk na napoproduce mo kasi is just based on how established na yung supply mo and how often you feed your baby. at first, talagang onti palang yung milk na makukuha kasi it just follows the demand. pag eventually lagi ka nang nagpapadede at na-establish na yung supply, then dadami din yan. from my experience, mas madali yung production pag direct feeding kesa pag pumping. just be patient and continue breastfeeding. you'll know if you have plugged ducts naman pag may hard lump ka sa breast at masakit. ibig sabihin ayaw lumabas nung milk sa duct na yun. :)

i also wanted to tandem feed but unfortunately my milk supply has come to really really low when I was on my 2nd month of pregnancy. my baby also says "la na mik" hence I supplemented na. even with me having spotting and all i tried to bf but grabe talaga yung output ko, less than 1 oz even with after 3hrs pumping. so i stopped pumping slowly from every 3hrs to 6hrs then 8hrs then 12hrs then 24hrs. it happened slowly naman until i completely weaned at 16months. i am happy naman of my bfeeding journey and hopes that i get to do it longer for my 2nd baby. sana i will be blessed to have a good supply as much as my first.

hi mga sis. lumiit na yung lump and wala na din pain. i guess it was just starting kaya naagapan agad.  i did breast massage while he was feeding and see to it na he "emptied" my right breast. hindi kasi gaano na-eempty e unlike sa left side.

Baby is 9weeks already and yet ayaw pa din niya maglatch sakin. Lalo tuloy ako naddepress. :(
Honestly, I feel irritated

Sisses, how long did it took you and your baby, who got introduced to the bottle first, na masanay maglatch sa inyo?

Kasi daw sya, wala daw talaga as in zero! I dont think she knows what to do or what she's talking about pero nakakainis lang.

^lol.

I also took some natalac and malunggay supplement pero wala naman masyado effect. Now im pregy again with my 2nd child this time iIm determined to breast feed all the way kaya lang worried ako baka wala ako milk or onti na naman kasi malapit na ako manganak pero wala pa din lumalabas na milk unlike noong una 7months pa lang ako pregy may lumalabas na onti milk.

How many times do you pump in a day? And until when do you plan to pump? Medyo tamad na kasi ako magpump eh. Pero unli-latch kapag gabi. Mga 3-4x pa rin sa gabi.

mga sis im in to antibiotics for 7 days due to my swollen gums. ampicillin ang bigay ng dentist ko. since hindi ako sure kung safe yun kay baby i decided to throw away those BMs na napupump ko. i'm worrying baka madrain supply ko because of antibiotics and hindi kami makapagdirect feeding.

^^honestly tamad din ako mag pump haha! i leave my pump at home na. twice a day na lang before going to work and pag uwi, may times na once a day na lang kasi di rin masyado nagmi milk si baby K pag wala ako. unli latch din pag night time pero i paln to continue until 2 years old so 7 months left :)  tapos i will let her wean na lang. she is eating solids regularly naman kaya no problem. nagugulat kasi ako with the amount of milk that other babies of their age drink, di din kasi talaga malakas sa milk si baby K 2-3 oz per feed lang talaga. plus juices, water ang other sources of fluids :)

Ako rin 2x a day na lang din magpump or pag masipag sipag, 3x. I still pump sa plane, kaya nagugulat mga kalipad ko na may milk pa rin ako kasi nga alam nila one year old na si baby. Kaya when they ask until when I plan to breastfed, I tell them 'up to 2 years and BEYOND'.
