^sis m_lim, may I know kung sino pedia mo and accredited ba sya ng mga health card? Naghahanap kasi ako ng pedia na isusupport yung pagbebreastfeed ko. Our previous pedia kasi is not accredited ng hmo naminso we have to find another. Sorry OT!

I have another problem... 3rd day ko na ifeed kay baby yung thawed bm ko. Pero napansin ko, iba yung smell ng milk. Lahat parang malansa. Those milk were collected naman on different days so I think it's impossible na dahil yun sa kinain ko. And i stored them sa freezer, mga 2 to 3 days pa lang after ma-express. Ano kaya ang pwede gawin? I have 60+ oz of milk in my freezer and I don't want them to be wasted lang.. Help!

Sis starlust ako nagpupump pero hindi exclusive. Formula formula BM. Every 4 hours lang kase ako nagpupump, 4x a day, stop na pag 10pm tapos balik na sa 8am. Sa mixed feeding ko less than 2hours yata yung feeding ni baby. 3oz-4oz nauubos, 1 month na bukas.

^pwede sis. as long as wala kang iniinom na masamang gamot. paracetamol is safe. check lactmed if you are doubtful of the medicine you are taking in.

I'm actually doing mixed feeding too - BM and formula. I pump every 3 hours - 2 oz lang average ko for both. Parang I feel its too little output. I gave birth March 29 and tried direct feeding for a few days.

liam88- im also sick pero i dont pump and dump. tuloy tuloy bfing lang kami. it will boost antibodies pa ni baby as long as safe ang meds ha... if you have colds, decongestants may affect supply.

starlust - using formula will really affect milk supply (remember supply and demand). if mag latch ng latch si baby (or pump more frequent), supply will increase.

Sis, tuloy lang ang pagbigay ng BM kahit may sakit. I got sick a couple of weeks ago and I'm thankful baby didn't get sick at all. To think na singhot ako ng singhot kahit direct feeding pa kami.

Anyway, you were exposed to the virus (or bacteria, if it's bacterial in nature) even before the symptoms present themselves. So most likely, kayo ni baby, meron na talagang virus to start with. While baby's body is still immature to produce enough antibodies of her own, your breastmilk will supply those needed antibodies for your baby.

When I was so sick, I feed her lang then si hubby na yung nagpapa-burp sa kanya kasi sobrang hilo at sakit ng ulo ko. I just wanted to sleep all day and sneeze and cough.

Sabi nga nila, the whole household will get sick EXCEPT for the baby. If they even get sick, sobrang slight lang compared to the bigger kids or adults. True enough, ni hindi man lang sinipon si baby ko. Galing ng BM noh? Kaya tuloy lang ang direct feeding or pag pump.
