What's your preferred birth control method?

Hi sissies! Since I am new here at GT, I'd like to start a new topic regarding your preferred contraception. I just gave birth to my 2nd child thru C-section and thinking if I will go back to using pills (althea) 4 years din ako nag take and I can say na "hiyang" naman ako sa pills. But I'm hearing that pills have long term bad effects. Do you have any suggestions yung sana hindi nakakataba

Di ko alam kung may topic na nito sa women's reproductive health board, pero curious din ako which to take lalo na kung breastfeeding mom ka. I tried depo provera, yung every 12 weeks na shots. Di nga kami nagkababy for 3 years pero bonggang irregular bleeding naman inabot ko. Hindi ako tumaba with depo. Kaya nung tinigil ko eto nga preggy na ko. Ok siguro kung hiyang lang ako.

TS, are you planning on having another baby in the future?  if not, what about vasectomy for your husband?  no health side-effects for you, and no chance of him fathering children outside the marriage

Never pa ako naka try ng mga pills, gusto ko sana kaso lahat ng personal na kilala ko eh mataba. Sa amin kawawa man si Hubby pero withdrawal kami, for 3 years and 6 months na Hopeful lang kaming walang makalusot. hehe

Sissy, kami natural method lang. Effective naman sa amin. Kailangan lang talaga discipline pareho.

Naka pill na ko ngayon. In fairness, di ako tumataba (well 4 packs na ko since nanganak, ewan ko kung breastfeeding pa rin rason kaya payatot ako ha) at makinis balat ko. Progestin-only contraceptives ako since 2010 kaso ang side effect sakin exagge na bleeding.

Pero with Exluton, somehow um-okay ang katawan ko. I'm sticking to it siguro.

I am on IC..have my first shot last September 26, 2013, this is my first time to use concraceptive nadala kasi ako, 3 months kasi after giving birth via CS i got preggy agad to my 2nd child kaya no choice ako but to use any contraceptive.

titignan ko muna ang effect ng injectables sakin, dami daw kasing bad effects nito at pag di ako hiyang i will try pills.

after giving birth to my 2nd child, i started using injectibles (depoprovera). Need to use a contraceptive kasi my 2 kids were parehong bunga ng calendar method. 

ok yung Injectibles, very convenient. just need to go to the doctor every 12 wks. No bad side effects for me. hindi rin naman ako tumaba kahit na malakas ako kumain. But i think i have to thank my genes for it, walang kinalaman yung depo-shots.

anyway, mga almost 4 yrs ko din yun ginawa may nabasa ako nakakabrittle daw ng bones yun pag matagal.
So i stopped it muna and the doc advised me to switch to pills (Mercilon). Nakaka-5 packs na ako. No bad side effects din. Regular din mens ko. It usually occurs dun sa 2nd day ng pill-free days. Di rin ako tumaba, same pa rin. BUT i noticed lumaki boobs ko.

I've been taking althea for as long as I can remember. Mejo bumilog ako pero hinde naman mataba cus I'm still within my BMI.

Sabi ni OB ko sis bababa yung calcium chever sa buto Kaya pinapagsupplement ako ng Calcium nung naka Depo ako. Pero pwede naman daw magextend ng 2 years. sinakto kong 2 years lang yung sakin chakabells kasi ng epekto sa katawan ko.

I'm taking Cybelle, prescribed by my OB. First time ko mag pills and I can say na hiyang naman ako sa Cybelle. I'm on my 4th pack na. No breakouts, no weight gain, at normal ang menstruation ko. Wala na nga ako heavy day eh, dati kase every 2nd day heavy talaga. Pero simula nag pills ako, normal flow lang yung 3-5 days na meron ako

Sis alam ko yung Daphne pills pwede sa breastfeeding moms.

2 years din akong Diane, now micropil na gamit ko.  Di ako nahiyang sa injectables eh.
