hi nikki09, tama ba Light of Love yan? parang second choice ko nga sila after Ilustrado package kasi cheaper. Kaso nagaalangan ako sa 50% dp a month after reservation fee. mabigat sa bulsa. tatanong ko pa si h2b kung papayag siya sa LoL if ever, kasi mukhang type na type niya yung Ilustrado food.

We haven't gone to food tastings... sa October 2014 pa naman kami. Do you think it's too early para mag food tasting? hehe. ay tsaka if may naka-try na sa inyo ng both Hizon's and Ilustrado.. Sino mas ok? I've heard household name si Hizon's. Di ko lang alam though if mas ma-typan siya ni h2b.

Last, pano kayo nagsstart ng convo kay h2b about wedding preps? Nahihiya kasi ako magtanong kay boyps eh baka makulitan sa akin tsaka baka it's too early. One time kasi, I asked him for a sample guestlist tapos sabi niya he thinks masyado maaga. Kaya lang gusto ko talaga matapos yung mga bagay bagay para may exact amount kami na goal ipunin. So ngayon, research mode ako at nagpipigil magtanong kay boyps. Gusto ko na nga sana ibook si LoL para mas tipid kaya lang hindi naman pede na walang alam si h2b. haha!

Yup sis Light of Love nga, 1st choice namin before is Plaza Ibarra then nung nag-ocular kami wala yung this is feeling tsaka along main road siya parang hindi namin ma-visualize yung parking space. Then scout ulit ng venue hanggang makita ko ang light of love sa net, nakaka in love yung Atrium so two days after ko siya makita ocular kami agad, and that's the end of our venue hunting :p Plus pa na ang prompt nila magreply sa email, mabait sila kausap sa phone and mabait yung nag tour sa amin for the ocular. Yung nga lang ang hardcore ng payment scheme nila and hindi uso ang price lock with them. They have other accredited caterers naman sis aside from Hizon's.

With FT naman, the earlier the better para mas marami kayong options. And since nagstart ako mag post dito sa GT, akala ko before too early pa if I start wedding preps pero hindi pala kasi mas nalalaman na namin yung budget namin for wedding then no rush to book the suppliers which means mas mahabang time para ma-compare yung mga short listed suppliers natin. And the best part is yung price lock And kung may plan ka to DIY mas mahaba pa time

With h2b mo naman, try to explain to him na may price lock nga if you'll start scouting your propsect suppliers as early as now. And it works wonder na pinacheck ko kay h2b ang GT, now he knows why I like to start wedding preps super early hehe. And aside from that seaman din si h2b so before siya umalis sinabi ko na sana while he's here help naman siya kasi kasal naman namin yun and hindi naman kasal ko and friends :p

Last week nung may chance kami mag skype, he's asking updates na rin sa wedding preps so nakakatuwa

hi nikki09, I fell in love with the photos ng Atrium dun sa LoL website. I can just imagine yung stars and the moon while having dinner. Sana matypan ni h2b yung food nila Hizon's and Eloquente over Ilustrado para wala na akong problema sa venue. Haha! Otherwise, I'll have to look for other accredited venues ni Ilustrado na may similar feature ni Atrium (glass ceiling). Parang wala kasi si Ilustrado ng ganun eh. Or hindi lang pansin sa photos?

btw, sa bridal fair ba kailangan may money down agad if you decide to sign with a supplier? what if kunwari pumunta kami ni h2b sa fair, tapos we liked so and so suppliers tapos kapusin ng money to sign with them? hindi na namin ma-avail yung prices nila sa fair? sorry kung parang magulo yung tanong ko. hehe.

Sis femmenagerie, same here na-inlove din ako sa atrium sa website pa lang pati rin si h2b Try mo din ask Ilustrado if they will shoulder the corkage fee for non-accredited suppliers. During the last fair sa MOA kasi nung nag FT kami with Richgold they offered na they will shoulder the corkage fee for non-accredited caterers ng venue of choice ko (which is LOL) regardless kung magkano abutin as part of our freebies if sila kukunin ko.

Sa fair naman, other suppliers allow pencil booking (with a minimal cost), sa rings ang alam ko they will offer naman yung installment. And yung amount ng DP (reservation fee) varies din kasi, minsan may 1k lang, most p/v suppliers ask for 5k to 10k naman, meron namang 10%-30% of the total price. May ibang suppliers na nageextend ng bridal fair promo nila even after the event so ask mo na lang yung mga type mo

hi sis nikki09! thank you sa tip about ilustrado and bridal fair freebies. i computed yung corkage fee... 90 pesos x 150 pax = 13500 .medyo malaki rin. pero kung sswertehin edi why not. haha. although nakausap ko na si h2b. sabi niya ang ganda daw nung atrium although check daw namin pa rin in person. pero at the same time, may sinabi rin sia na kung san ko mas gusto. so i guess parang go signal na yun? hahaha! best talaga kung sakaling makausap namin si ilustrado sa bridal fair, para kung payag sila... at least parehas kami ni h2b ang nasunod. kinikilig ako. hahaha.

matinding ipunan na nga lang as soon as maka dp kay Lol if ever. pero im thinking of asking Steph baka pwedeng more than 1month yung 50% dp nila. tagal pa naman target namin. hehe...

kamusta ang wedding preps mo? naka sign ka na bay Steph? super bilis and bait nia sa email grabe. kaya nga naengganyo din ako sa kanila magcelebrate if ever. yung sa ilustrado kasi siguro almost 1 week na... wala pa ring reply yung questions ko abt sa package nila. medyo turn-off. hehe.

Yung 50% dp nila is payable in 4 months (max ata) for matatagal pa ang event, malaki pa rin pero mas kakayanin kesa isang bagsak ng 50%

Eto wala pa rin akong na-book na major suppliers haha. May suppliers na for  souvenirs (almost 70% paid na), then invitations & recently ang candy buffet. May go signal na ako kay h2b to book LOL & Hizon's somewhere April (baka before April ends para may buffer money pa rin just in case), then I'll start meeting my short listed P/V supplier, then mobile bar drinks tasting din, plus the upcoming fair too  . I'll update na rin our church baka pwede na kami tanggapin for reservations. Thumbs up din ako kay Steph super bait and prompt magreply

Hi nikki09! Medyo napressure ako slightly sa reply mo. Haha! Wala pa kasi kaming nabobook. At reception at church pa lang shortlisted namin. actually, yung church is yung only option since dun kinasal ang future in laws. worst scenario, UST Church siguro para maka-discount since alumna ako. The rest of suppliers panay canvass and waiting for reps pa lang. Btw, congrats sa inyo at almost 70% na kayo done with souvenirs. Hehe.

Btw, gusto ko lang share na I wanted to get a children's choir for the Church. Sobrang tumaas kasi talaga balahibo ko when I was able to attend a children's mass a long time ago. Wala pa akong bf nun ata, but I told myself gusto ko ng children's choir. In relation, na-contact ko ang Virlanie Foundation. Wala pa silang nabanggit na usapan about amount ng donation, but sabi nila they can provide the van for the kids if ever. Pero if hindi available, sagot namin ang van. I also read from another thread na 10k ata donation for Virlanie Choir. I don't mind shelling out this amount since may cause naman mapupuntahan. And take note girls, nabanggit ni Harry from Virlanie Foundation, na this April kids were invited by the French Prime Minister to perform in France and Belgium. Ang bongga lang ng mga batang ito. Haha! Makapag youtube nga mamaya, but I guess it's safe to bet na they will more than deliver for the wedding if ever available sila.

Ang di ko lang alam ngayon is kung sa Church lang ba sila invite or pati sa reception. Baka lumobo masyado ang guestlist namin if ever. Although naisip ko baka ok rin na perform sila sa reception? Or too much ba yun? Pero basta at least sa Church sana. Haha!

So ayun, kung may extra budget kayo and trip niyo kumuha ng choir. Baka gusto niyo rin option to check ang children's choir. Hehe!

I highly recommend Mel Orlina.  My friend recently went to her store and she's very accomodating and honest as well. Honest in a sense that she will tell you if it will look good on you but will still respect what you want. Supposedly, her entourage ( me included) will just have our clothes made somewhere else but she liked Mel so much that she decided to have our clothes to have it made by Mel  as well. 

Ohhh and i'm a 2014 bride myself sooo just by my friend's qccount i might get her as well. Check her fb account. Quality work. I don't personally know her but i got acquainted with her at one event.

Wala rin kaming other option siya church, super significant kasi yung church of choice namin to the both of us and yun lang ang one only request ni hubby na wag na ako maghanap ng iba pang church. I'll check nga din yang children's choir, at least the amount na gagastusin is for a good cause
