I don't see anything wrong with it. I already have one on stock and my daughter is just 1 year old. I'd rather have her nearby than running around and getting hurt

I think it's a matter of choice. Though I am against putting a harness on kids.

Backpack harness is okay with me and my husband but we don't see a need for it right now. What we don't like is the wrist leash.

we're using the backpack harness, too on instances na ayaw nya magpahawak sa kamay.

or sometimes, she's wearing it plus nakahawak pako sa kamay. bigla kasi nagpupumiglas. mahirap na.

my mom used a harness a few times on my nephew when he was around 2+ parang di naman big of a deal to use one then or we were just the type that didn't mind what others would think.  we were more scared of losing him sa crowd, hurting himself or crashing/breaking onto something. we kept him close naman di rin naman namin tinu-tug yung harness di lang sya makakalayo when he deicdes to walk around or run bigla. thing is magulo talaga yung nephew ko noon and impish he was difficult to handle so the harness came handy.

My two kids are now 10 and son is turning 9 soon. Hindi ako pro sa harness. I never made them use it. Takot sila sa asawa ko, before we go out. We set rules. Kahit super liit pa sila nuon, alam nilang bawal maglikot sa labas, kundi... palo paguwi.  ;D

For me, hindi dapat natin isipin ang sasabihin ng ibang tao, dahil wala naman silang pakialam diba, ang importante safe ang anak mo, by the way harness is actually
the same sa child na naka strapped sa stroller niya, same thing.

Iiisipin mo pa nga mas maigi na ang backpack harness, the child can walk, play without you compromising his safety,  kesa dun sa mga naka strapped sa stroller, naka upo lang kahit gustong maglakad, also may mga bata na ayaw ng umuupo ng stagnant sa stroller also may mga bata kasi na tatakbo na lang bigla,
thinking it's play na habulin mo siya.

I once saw a 2 years old kid, boy, tumakbo palayo sa parents niya, umakyat ng escalator, muntik ng mahulog.

So, that's what I mean, depende sa pangangailangan ng anak mo, and other people's opinion, ke isipin nila na
parang aso anak mo, DOES IT MATTER? Hindi diba. :)

So I bought a batman backpack harness.

Hindi ko pa naman ginagamit, kasi mabagal pa siyang tumakbo, pero I doubt kung mananatili siyang ganun kabagal once he turns two.

So, I am willing to use his backpack harness once kailangan na. As for my view sa mga parents na gumamit nito, wala akong
nakikitang masama, it's their child anyway, parents always know best for their kids.

mwah sis :)

For me its okay to use a harness. What's more important is the safety of the child.

I think this issue has long been a topic of discussion. For me it all boils down to your choice of security measure for your kid. If it works for you, then don't give a heck about what others think. If you think your yaya is enough to look out for your kid when you're out, then ok lang din. For us, we choose not to use this because we guard our daughter (and yaya) like a hawk when we go out.

I personally don't like it. For me mas delikado pa nga yun e.

I'm ok with using a harness, even the parents sa US they use that naman.. what's important is the child's safety pa din pero I haven't tried using it pa kasi di naman ganun kalikot ang anak ko at napagsasabihan ko pa naman, pero kung sumobra na ang kulit at likot nya baka gamitan ko din nyan  ;D

Dati when hubby and i saw a child wearing harness sa mall, our initial reaction was "ano ba yan ginawang parang aso na ni-walking yung anak nila, instead na hawakan sa kamay." But now that we already have a 3 months old daughter and she is showing us signs na possible syang maging super likot when she becomes a toddler, hubby and i are now being open to the possiblity of using harness later on.

My view, so what if it looks like I'm walking a dog, at least my child is safe and near me at all times. My daughter is only a year old but even at home, if I look away for a split second, she is out the door. I never want that to happen to me in a crowded area.

Hubby and I are open to this. I guess I'm hoping na maging behave ang baby boy Ko pag laki Nya when we're out. Si hubby naman looks at this more as "guide" ni baby while he's learning how to walk kasi raw Baka madapa at masubsob sa sahig :)
