Kimpura is still the best for me nakakaaliw pag meron chef na nagluluto sa harap ng table... luckily my ninong is the head chef (during the 90's) ...amoy palang ng Yakimeshi Rice, winner na...

we just ate at Omakase and we actually enjoyed it. there were some dishes that were good, some that were just so-so, and some that we didn't like. pero the ambiance and some good dishes were enough to make us enjoy here. i would come back again.

what we loved:
- Dynamite Roll - love love love it! it was spicy but not too much, and we loved the salmon on top
- Sukiyaki - it was delicious, malasa talaga siya, we loved it

so-so lang:
- Oyster Butteryaki - so-so lang. it's not bad, but it's also not something that you'll love to order again; siguro mas gusto ko lang talaga yung ibang preparation ng oysters, yung cheesy and garlicky, hehe
- Omakase Steak - i didn't want to order it kasi hindi naman talaga Japanese dish, so i wouldn't expect it to taste good kasi Jap cuisine naman talaga ang Omakase. kaso gusto order-in ng mom ko so wala na ko nagawa, hehe. she liked it naman, pero ako di masyado.

what we didn't like:
- American Dream - i was surprised na hindi naman kami masyadong nasarapan considering na this was the maki that most blogs raved about. pero it was nothing special, IMO. yung salmon sa loob parang yung nasa canned salmon lang, yun yung lasa niya.


kapag kumain kami ulit dito, we'll order again the Dynamite Roll and Sukiyaki. tapos we'll try new items baka may ma-discover kaming iba pang masarap na dishes. i wanna try the Jurassic Maki and the Tofu Steak, tsaka yung Kakiage.

KAMAMESHI Hands down! tori rice! and they have the best tempura!

try nyo sa Tokyu, located sa me Pioneer Center Grocery dun sa Pasig..Sobrang affordable pero
masarap..yung tempura nila 5pcs 160 lang..and authentic yung ingredients na gamit nila...

tried Tokyo Tokyo again. now lang uli nakakain don. fave ko talaga chicken teriyaki nila. but the veggies kanina ang tigas luma na siguro. at nakakaloka ang california maki, super sticky ng rice. sabi nga ni bf baka kasi nasanay kami sa ibang japanese resto na nakainan namin eh

Sugi (Greenbelt 2) and Tsukiji (Pasay Road) - both authentic Japanese but kinda pricey.

Tempura Misono (Hyatt) - cozy (not sure lang if this still exists)

Kimono Ken (Blue Wave, Macapagal) - ewan ko lang if this is authentic pero pwedeng pwede na for me.  I like it here, masarap pero hindi ganon ka-pricey.

John and Yoko (Greenbelt 5) - ok na din. Near our office kaya if we crave for Japanese food, eto lagi ang puntahan namin.

Inagiku for the sushi and sashimi
Kimpura for the beef teppanyaki
Kikufuji for the bento set - haven't been here for a long time though
Ramen Bar for the ramen - haven't tried Ukkokei which is on my to-do list
Omakase for the sushi rolls and for a quick Japanese fix since it's near my workplace
Mr. Kurosawa for Japanese fusion dishes

Inagiku-lahat ng na-try ko so far not bad
Wafu- yung tempura nila not worth it pati yung salmon (forgot na what it's called but hindi yung sashimi)
          not bad yung sea bass and wagyu
Kimpura-gindara, salmon, tempura and steak ang lagi naming order

to those who have actually dined at Sugi and Kimpura, can someone please share the approximate cost per person? para kasing hindi reliable yung nasa Munchpunch, parang mali yung Sugi approximate cost nila... ang sabi sa Munchpunch, P300-500 daw ang Sugi, tapos P500-800 daw ang Kimpura.

malapit na kasi ang birthday ko so i'm choosing among the two. i just need to know the budget para ready ang wallet ko. thanks!!

Sa kimpura a group of 6 people pwedeng umabot ng 3k kung may drinks at dessert pa. Average price ng entree sa menu is around P300 to 500. Parang baligtad yung nasa munchpunch.
