got back from a bday party. yuck talaga yung cake ng breadtalk. yung may character. ang mahal mahal. puro icing na di naman masarap. yung cake pa, sponge cake lang tapos may layer na matigas na chocolate. ano ba iyan?

^ oo nga sis... buti nalang yung nabili ko lang nuon na cake nila yung maliit lang na may design na HK for my daughter... parang ipinatong lang na design tapos sponge cake na... hindi kuna matandaan parang nasa P99 nga ata yun.. buti na lang hindi yung malaki ang nabili namen..

^told the mum of the celebrant about the walang kwentang cake. sabi nya breadtalk lang daw alam nyang gumagawa ng sanrio character cake. imo, mas masarap pa yung nabili kong red ribbon na cheapest cake dun.

finally, was able to try mango bene of mary grace cafe. i liked it, mas gusto ko than mango bravo kasi mas madami mangoes.

if you happen to visit Dumaguete City, you should try the dates and walnuts dacquoise from Sans Rival pastries shop.  It's been my fave cake for the longest time
Usually mas popular yung silvanas or sans rival cakes nila and this is what our friends and relatives always ask for as pasalubong.
but ako nasasawa na esp. since in my opinion, they're too sweet and buttery, hehe.
if you like the crunchy meringue texture of the silvanas or sans rival cake but want something more nutty and a little less sweeter, you should definitely try the dates and walnuts dacquoise.
By the way, a whole layer only costs P530!

^^^sa Sans Rival ang dami kong natikman na iba-iba, kase mura lang siya... ang pinaka nagustuhan ko doon is lasagna.

^^ next time try the d&w dacquoise sis a lot of our friends who got to try it liked it better than the silvanas.  pero mas "pasalubong friendly kasi ang silvanas at just P130 per pack. di ko carry tig iisang layer ng cake, hehe.

^yup sis, super affordable talaga cake shops dito, also the restos.
sabi nga nila most  Dumaguetenos  are true foodies talaga; sophisticated ang palettes, ala food critique... pero super kuripot din, hehe.  a lot of foreigners and expats like to stay here kasi maraming hidden gems and culinary delights. usually mga hole in the wall bistros na pa artsy effect, hehe.

Sarap ng Home-baked Blueberry Cheescake ng Craving's. It's different pa from their home-made. Kasi this one is baked talaga. Yummy!

I loooove the blueberry cheescake from Bag of Beans in Tagaytay, swear! This is by far my top-on-the-list among my blueberry cheesecakes.

Classic Dark Chocolate cake from Chocolat, does not fail me. Also Death by Tablea, the best din!

Banana Cream Pie from Casa Feliz, Marikina.

Brazo de Mercedes from Qizia, Marikina.

sis babyboo.0326 ...interesting yung sa Cravings, try ko yan pag punta ko ATC ... fanatic den ako ng Blueberry Cheesecake sis ...na try kuna den yung sa Bag of Beans kaso parang may kulang ...highly recommend ko cheesecake from Cheesecake Factory sis, melts in your mouth and super well blended sa taste... dito kasi saten sa Pinas sila na mismo nag lalagay ng blueberry on top, you can try it sa The Old Spag & Sizzling Pepper Steak, but if u want it plain alam ko meron sa S&R nabibili isang box

red ribbon's chocolate roll is chocolatey and not so sweet.
