^ well sis, himdi mo naman madidifferentiate kung alin sa mga bacteria na yun yung safe bacteria or bacteria na nakakadiarrhea eh. better safe than sorry, right? kawawa pa naman ang bata pag nagtae.

for me, applicable ang kasabihan na yan kung malaki na sya. toddler perhaps, but for babies like newborn? for me i wont risk it.

^ korek sis, better safe than sorry. My son is already 1 year and 3 weeks pero Wilkins pa rin ang gamit namin sa kanya. My husband doesn't want our son to use purified water, not until he say so. Bragging aside, my hubby works as a project engineer in a water treatment company whose major clients includes Coca-Cola, San Miguel Corp and Asia Brewery. So olats na ako sa pagdefend ko sa purified water. He knows better than i do.

^^ i agree din. We need to be extra careful especially for newborns kasi hindi pa ganun ka strong ang tummy nila. For my 1 month old baby, we only use dr. edwards or wilkins na pinakuluan for his formula milk. When he reaches 6 months or 1 year old, maybe we can shift to absolute.

Kami wilkins but hindi na namin bino-boil.  Then, when she turns 1, pwede na kami purified na lang.  That's what we did with my other daughters when they were still babies.

^ Wilkins and Dr Edwards are the same distilled pareho pre h2o while with absolute, summit and other bottled water purified na which has other components such as minerals.

^si baby ko din wilkins yung gamit na tubig. Nung nag 1 month si baby, sabi ng SIL ko, i-alternate ko daw sa mineral water kasi mahal daw yung wilkins. Ayaw ni hubby kasi mahirap na daw magrisk kasi nga newborn lang at hindi pa ganoon kalakas ang immune system. Good thing merong malapit na wilkins refilling station dito sa amin kaya mas mura namin nabibili yung water. Saka katwiran ni hubby, tayo nga umiinom ng softdrinks and mas mahal yun sa tubig tapos si baby titipirin

Absolute is distilled rin diba?

Absolute is distilled water but hubby preferred Wilkins. Hindi hiyang si baby sa Absolute eh, pumapangit ang consistency ng poop ni bebe. Gusto ko na rin sana mag-alternate ng mineral water pero le-lecturan na naman ako ng maselan kong asawa. Hay...

My husband used to do water analysis sa bfad pa nun wilkins and dr Edwards lang daw yung pure h2o with other distilled water kasi may minerals na hindi pa kaya ng kidney ni baby.  He told me this because I wanted to switch from Wilkins to Dr Edwards sabi nya in all parameters pareho lang branding lang daw yung difference. 

Safest would be pure h2o for babies but it's the parent's perogative. Nung hindi pa uso yung bottled water pinakuluang  tubig lang naman yung pinapainom sa mga baby. Importante clean yung water na ipapainom kay baby.

Oo nga eh nuon di ba pwede na ang pinakuluang water. Ang problema sa panahon ngayon matindi na kasi ang pollution, mapa-tubig o hangin.

^I agree sis daveigh. Grabe kasi ngayon, polluted na halos lahat. Saka dati kasi, most Moms are not working so exclusive BF talaga sa babies unlike today na marami ng working Moms so formula na pinapadede kay baby.

Mga sis, anong water naman yung ginagamit niyo pampaligo kay baby? Tap water lang or purified?

^^ 0-1 month ni baby, mineral water. Now we're approaching 2 months, tap water sa tub at mineral water sa pang banlaw and sa face.

hello! tanong ko lang yung rashes sa face ng baby normal ba yun? Si baby kasi 5weeks na and grabe ang rashes nya sa mukha sabi ng pedia normal daw pero nakaka worry [textspeak!]. Pede kaya lgyan sya ng CJ's Butter or vandol?

sa ngayon, yung mineral water na gamit namin na inumin. madumi kasi ang tubig dito sa area namin. nagkaroon kasi ako ng bacterial infection before, so tiis muna kahit napapamahal sa tubig. takot ako magkasakit si baby.

Ok, will try to use tap water na rin then purified sa pang banlaw. Medyo magastos din kasi eh. Will ask hubby na lang na bumili ng filter.
