Turning 7, but I do not think it can go beyond since walang improvement. Just a company yun lang..

been there sis, pray to God. malay natin baka may plan na si bf mo...kami naman ni hubby ko, we're almost 7 na when he proposed. I hope to hear wedding bells soon sis. :D

ang mga lalake kase they see marriage as the beginning of the end of good times and see it as surrendering their carefree youths. and until they see marriage as a happy next step, they simply are not ready for it. some never will be. nakakalungkot :(

^^ not ready for wedding? hmm.. baka gusto narin po nung guy kaso hindi pa talaga sila stable.. baka kasi gusto ng gf nya na maganda ang wedding since yun ang dream nya.. ang kaso, nag-iipon pa.. mahirap din kasi na after ng bonggang wedding, ubos ang pera nyo.. nga-nga.. :(

it's good to hear of your plans  jaymejorrol. judging from what i have observed, every relationships has a marrying moment...a peak time. usually  when the woman's hopes are at their highest and the man's fears are at their lowest. if that moment passes without a proposal, it can be a long wait until the next one. sa iba  it never comes again. but if a marrying moment  should show up a second time, i hope it will be to a couple who know each other well, see each other clearly, and want each other still. what else is a better foundation for a successful marriage than that di ba?

^^ I think it's a misconception that you have to spend a lot if it's a church wedding.
You can marry without the entourage, flowers, grand reception etc. afterwards.
And marriage doesn't guarantee anything these days, court or church.
You must marry for the right reasons, not just because you've been together for so long.

Going back to the topic, it really takes hard work, trust and communication to make this kind of relationship work.

thanks po dito.. this is true.. kahit ako gusto ko narin pakasal kame. we really love each other that's why.. kaso hindi pa nga po stable.. kaya aabutin pa ng years ulit.. kasi may mga pinapag-aral pa po kami.. alam nyo na.. same kasi kami panganay.. kaya marami pa po suporta sa parents ang kapatid..

but if a marrying moment  should show up a second time, i hope it will be to a couple who know each other well, see each other clearly, and want each other still. what else is a better foundation for a successful marriage than that di ba?

yup.. dapat syempre sure tayo sa taong pakakasalan natin..

marriage is not how long or how short the couple had stayed together. Minsan nga may kakakilala lang nagpapakasal na agad, sometimes naman there are instances that the couple who had been together for a long years ended up nothing.

For me, it's a matter of emotional maturity and financial stability. Couples don't have to pressure themselves. Everything must be prepare and done before tying the knot. :)

^ i agree sis. it is never the length of the relationship that will determine if it's the right time to marry. at the same time, "marriage" is not always the best gauge to determine success of a relationship. so many people right now kasi marry for the wrong reasons.

nice topic mga sis and bro..

Me and my hubby now is 6 years before we got married (unplanned pregnancy din).

less than a year palang kaming married pero so far wala namang adjustment nung nagsama na kami siguro naka-tulong ang long term relationship namin to get to know mga ugali namin and magadjust for one another.

Right now I can say that hindi naman nagbago ang love ko sakanya,..kinikilig parin ako sa kanya ;D

I am still single but in relationship with a girl since last 2 years and we are planning to get married very soon by end of this year. We meet in my friends marriage function and then our relationship get started. We meet frequently and date frequently. I think the definition of long relationship is how you keep relationship maintain. For this both partner must be understandable and feel the same. Trust and understanding is the key for maintaining long term relationship.

Have you girls thought of asking your guy when he's planning to settle down? Hindi naman sa nagmamadali or what, but it's reality na if you're in a long term relationship, you'll get there talaga, pero is it okay for a girl to ask that question? Your thoughts?
