very interested din ako sa Laser Resurfacing kaya I've consulted two Dermas na plus research.
Wag kayo malito mga sis, different ang
Carboxytherapy,
Laser Resurfacing (3 common types ito), and
Skin Needling (aka Derma Roller).
Carboxytherapy - employs cutaneous and subcutaneous administration (
INJECTION) of small amounts of carbon dioxide gas to increase the blood circulation to that area.
FOR: Dark under-eye circles, cellulite, and stretch marks - parts shown to have some root cause in poor blood circulation. stretchmarks usually ito ginagamit sa MNL. iniinject ito sa mga stretchmarks mismo.
Skin Needling / Derma Rolling - this is just a
ROLLER WITH FINE NEEDLES. literally pinapuncture niya ang skin multiple times until ma reach down the lower levels of the skin, and then will stimulate the growth of collagen and elastin in the new skin na ma produced. since may mga microscopic punctures na, mas mamaximise the absorption of products applied at the time of treatment - kaya usually yung ibang derma papiliin ka ng serum (vit. c, ginseng, stem cell). i have this at home but never tried it pa. this is
FOR: acne pits and deep scars, and wrinkles, stretchmarks - basta kelangan ng collagen and elastin. gumagamit dito ng anesthetic cream kasi medyo masakit ito. hehe

MACHINE. kala kasi ng iba pati Carboxytherapy and Skin Needling gumagamit din ng laser machine. laser resurfacing puede sa sun damage, wrinkles, texture, pores, acne scars, etc pero sabihin ko nalang which laser is more effective for each condition.
Fraxel - first choice for acne scars. downtime - sabi sa akin sometimes wala daw downtime/panget time basta depends sa tao but if ever - redness, puffy, sunburn-like for a few days. No crusting.
Fractional CO2 - first choice for sun damage, wrinkles, texture, large pores
if you have acne + sun damage pa etc and you want pa more improvement then go for Frac CO2. downtime - this one may crusting na for 2 weeks. pinaka expensive ito. atm, ito daw gold standard.
Traditional CO2 - hindi na ito ginagamit because the risk of side effects outweigh benefits.
