What's your view: Dapat bang hayaang madumihan ang anak paminsan-minsan?

Okey lang na madumihan especially when playing outside.
Hinahayaan namin yung toddler ko to play and explore, i think, dun sya matututo. Pero syempre, lagi may nakabantay.  Sinisiguro namin na after nya na maglaro sa labas, naghuhugas agad ng kamay, then change clothes.

Natural lang madumihan kids ko BUT i make sure they wash their hands thoroughly (and feet & legs if needed) once they get inside the house, esp before eating

Parang vaccine lang yan, kelangan natin ng kaunting virus or bacteria para ma immune

i let my kids get dirty, then they have to clean up after.

i believe we should let children explore things in their surroundings, yung tipong okay lang magdumi while at play as long as you'll clean/bathe him after.

Yes. Sabi ni pedia, food for the brain daw ang hayaan ang bata mag-explore kahit madumi. Basta wag lang daw hahayaang isubo yung dumi.

okay lang madumihan as long as he doesn't have an open wound (iwas infection) and wag isusubo (iwas poisoning).

yes i dont mind if he gets dirty once in a while as long as his yaya is around. I make sure my toddler washes his hands before and after eating. Before he goes to sleep in the afternoon, i let him take a half bath everyday para presko super init kasi panahon ngayon

Ako hinahayaan ko syang madumihan pa-minsan pero naka-monitor ako. Like kapag nasa playground, syempre hindi maiiwasan na madumihan sila pero make sure na hindi isusubo yung kamay, or ilalagay sa nose, eyes, etc.

Depends on what the "dirt"is. If it's just the soil in the parks and playground, by all means-yes.But the grimey grit of Metro Manila? No. Every activity has a proper place to do it, for me.Jumping in muddy puddles (with rain boots on of course),playing in the rain,heck if she wants to climb trees why not?

I'm not yet a mom, yet I believe that every child should be exposed to dirt every once in a while. At hindi yung dirt na pollution naman ha. LOL. Dapat lang hindi masyadong OC yung magulang sa pagiging sobrang linis... to the point na hindi na nakakapagplay yung child.
