To single moms out there, hindi ba kayo nagkaproblem sa pakikipag arrange sa Church? I mean wala bang discrimination or something?

Mas walang problema sis pag single mom, Water baptism man or baby dedication. Some churches like Mary Queen of Peace (EDSA Shrine) require a seminar completion before the baptism. Strict si EDSA shrine not to bring the child to the seminar.

Pero in my experience since my child's father and I have yet to be we'd, mas maluwag ang Catholic churches. If not for my future in laws' plea to have my son baptized/dedicated very early, I would've waited to be we'd then ipapadedicate si baby.

@ eeyore91833 - depende kung special or single baptism at un mass baptism.

for most special/ single baptism i have attended have a duration of 30mins or more..
for mass baptisms i have attended it lasts for more than 45mins to more than an hour..

Ano usually ang program pag binyag?  I need ideas kahit short program lang and dun sa mga DIY na mom paano nyo inaayusan [textspeak!] venue? Like may nakita ako Shakeys sila nag party pero [textspeak!] ayos ng lugar DIY not the usual tarp.

Normally wala naman program. pero meron ako napuntahan na binyagan na short program. it went like this..

1. welcome speech from the parents
2. opening prayer
3. blessing from grandparents to their grandchild
4. merienda cena - with viewing of various photos of the child projected in a wall back drop
5. thank you speech from the parents

wala pa akong na-attend-an na binyag na may party.  usually kainan lang talaga then kwentuhan until matapos ang 2 hours.  pansin ko kasi bihira din ang nagsasama ng kids sa binyagan kaya siguro ang hirap mag-setup ng games.

yung mga pinagsabay na birthday and binyag lang nakita kong may games.

Hi! Ask ko lang sino na sa inyo nakapag reception sa valle verde 1 clubhouse ? How much doon and gaano kalaki ang venue? Anong mga kailangang iprepare.

Rush kasi ako mag plan e haha hay.

Pahabol din pala. Sa kapitolyo, Pasig ang baptism ng anak ko. May mga nakapag reception naba sa inyo in any of the restaurants there? Any suggestions?

sis msals2007, I think ok lang naman if you've prepared a program.  Something new for the guests.  Hope maraming bata ang pumunta para mas masaya ang games.

sis airish_2, yup, usually ganun lang.  Pagdating ng guests sa reception, serving of food na then chikahan tapos picture-picture.  Pero up to you if you want to prepare something special and different.

Hi sisses! Preggy palang ako, pero kabuwanan ko na. Planning na pabinyagan si lo before ako bumalik sa work so medyo konti lang time to prepare. We are eyeing Shrine of Jesus sa MOA then Cabalen nalang ang reception. Vikings sana kaso hindi naman lahat ng guests namin malakas kumain so hindi masusulit. Ask ko lang kung meron kayo feedback ng baptismal package ng Cabalen MOA branch? From their website napansin ko mas mura (298 adult rate) sa ibang branches nila, while sa MOA, Megamall and Robinsons Ermita 398 ang adult rate.

We're eyeing the same church and reception sis.  I came across a bloger's site na sa Cabalen ang baptism reception nila.  It was 398 for adult and mas mura pag sa kids.  I will try to look for it then PM kita just in case di mo pa na search.
