Binyag ni baby last December konti lang visitors kasi ayoko madami. 35 lang kami. Aim lang talaga namin mabinyagan na si baby boink. Tamad ako magparty at magprepare ng party. Isipin ko pa nga kung magcelebrate kami sa 1st bday ng bongga or kami kami ulit tapos travel abroad na lang. Sa souvenirs naman, sa totoo lang mababalewala lang, like itambak (for me ha) kaya ginawa ko na lang edible. 😁

Naisip ko din yan about souvenirs kase nung lumipat na kame ng house ang dami ko na let go souvenirs I just kept yung sa mga pamangkin ko.  So yeah most likely sa edible din ako babagsak if may time pa if wala e d wala na souvenir.

Pareho tayo sis ng goal mabinyagan lang at ganyan din lang ang number of guests ko included na kame dun sa count. Hindi rin kase ako mahilig sa mga party and si madir kase matipid which is understandable kase walang wala naman kame dati. Plan ko sa birthday ni LO travel kase yan talaga ang nakahiligan ko or if masyado pa sya maliit for international travel baka mag check in na lang sa hotel sa ocean park yung may mga fish sa room para mag enjoy sya.

nabasa ko kasi pag magpaparty, ang dami suppliers kailangan, nakakatamad maghanap. 10 kami both sides na yun ni hubby kasi wala kami relatives dito lahat nasa abroad hehe

Ganun sis mas ok travel para sa akin, plan namin yan 2-3x a year din.

Souvenirs - I like clay souvenirs.. may nakita ako sa instagram and kokontakin ko na lang yung supplier..
Photographer - still looking around, mura na ba ang 3500 na charge?  no printouts yan, bale sa cd lang... I don't think there's a need for a videographer, so settle na lang muna ako sa photog

40 pax lang ang headcount ng aking guests, included na ang family dyan   I want to make it as small and intimate as possible..

Yes kami rin edible na lahat ng favors. Iniisip ko kung mas tipid ba ang cupcake souvenirs or mas tipid if magpa dessert/candy buffet nalang. But Im leaning towards the cupcake souvenirs for guests and maybe mini cakes for sponsors. I'm talking to Gervy's cakes.  I like Sugarplum Pastries din.

For my dad's birthday party 2 years ago I got Niji Desserts to make his cake n Maganda and masarap, and Clarise was really easy to talk to. She also delivered on time kahit saktong bumagyo nung araw na yun lol.  Somewhat expensive though and I want to try other suppliers kaya hanap hanap pa.

We're also pretty sure we're getting Passion Cooks na.

@caterpillar girl -- agree Ako sa sarap ng cakes ng Niji and Ganda din ng execution niya.
@chikit -- that's true sis nga about the souvenirs na kadalasan na tambak lang sa house. Pero cute nga talaga yun mga clay decors as tokens/souvenirs. Kaya Ako sa edible goodies din Ang choice ko and for the godparents either mini cakes or something useful like passport holders/travel envelopes. I saw din nga yun fragrance as tokens, ok din ba yun?

We don't want to make a fuss na sana with the binyag. I'm thinking reception na lang sa Dad's. The meryenda buffet is cheap at less P300/pax. If we reserve for 100pax they will reserve the most dulo part (glorietta branch) so as if private room na din. I can add daw P3K for balloons/decor para mukha namang reception. But still at that price ang laki pa din mura even if we have 100pax guests.

Meryenda is 3-6pm. May time slot kasi na 1:30pm sa Santuario de San Antonio so parang sakto lang.

@gem, if sa Sacred Heart ang binyag mas malapit yun vikings sa may sm jazz. Wala lang ako idea kung may promo gaya ng namention mo na place sa bluebay.

planning my baby's binyag this May... may marecommend ba kayo na affordable na photographer mga sis?! I don't want to spend that much sa photographer, max 5K lang budget ko...
I need someone na taga south sana - LP, alabang or Pque para wala ng out of town fee charges.

^di na kami mag spend for photog. Family and friends nalang na mahilig magphotos para mas tipid. But check out the photo and vid thread, marami doon suggestions.

So far, church and venue palang ang check samin. Christ the King and our village clubhouse. Maayos naman kausap yung Christ the King. 50% dp lang to book then balance to be paid 2 weeks before binyag. We opted for a 10 am solo baptism.  No need rin for a seminar for sponsors. They just need to be there 15 mins before event for a little 'talk.'

Caterer - most likely Passion Cooks, still waiting for feedback re: our chosen menu and quote for styling.

Favors - Cupcakes for ninongs and cake pops nalang for guests. Talking to Gervy's Amazing Cakes and Baked Twinkles. Sila lang yung mabilis magreply. Sugarplum Pastries never got back to me, even after constant follow ups. Oh well.

No invites na rin. Online invite nalang and text. Or if ever mag download nalang ako ng free printable on the net and print them at home.

Binyag na ni baby sa feb 27, seminar next week sa church, reception sa shakey's lang, we ordered 4 sets of monster meal para sa 50pax. buffet style daw yung set up nila.  free lang yun function room. food lang ang binayaran namin. inaaway na ko ni misis, gusto nya kasi may balloons. haha

My son's baptism was at Christ the King (mass baptism, no slot na for solo on our preferred date), reception followed at Cafe 1771. Super no-brainer preps namin as I didn't have enough time to do OC planning (thank you Cafe1771!!!!)

We chose sit-down menu sa reception and super busog kami at nasarapan sa food. Our favors for ninangs were my fave turtle butter bars from Vargas Kitchen and Asti wines for the ninongs. Souvenirs for the guests were ram cupcakes (my son's name is Ram, hehe).

Here are the baptism photos by Strong & Rachel Photography. It was an intimate 50-peeps gathering and I can't gush enough on how memorable it was

May nakapag-pabinyag na ba sa inyo sa OLAP sa Mindanao Ave?  I have 3 ninongs and 4 ninangs kasi (nasa US ang isa), so bale 3 pairs will be present sa binyag.  Pero 2 candles lang ang provided ng church.  Sabi ng nakausap ko, ganun daw talaga.. for all na daw.  I have no idea pano ang ceremony kaya I will still  buy candles and lalagyan ko na lang ng ribbon (reserba).  Ganito ba talaga sa OLAP?  I heard wala talagang standard na ceremony for baptism e.  Depende sa mga simbahan.

Another question, kailangan din ba talaga blue (ninong) and pink (ninang) ang ribbon ng candles?  Balak ko sana green for ninongs e

Nabilhan ko na rin ng baptismal gown si baby sa Landmark, set na sya with cap and bootie.  Hanap pa ko ng dress for reception baka mainitan si baby sa gown e. 

I'm not satisfied with the supplier of my souvenirs, medyo nabastusan ako sa way ng pagsagot sa mga inquiries ko, this is after ko ng magbayad ng dp.  I also requested for some privacy pero go pa rin sila sa pag post ng finished product... haaayy... I'll let it pass na lang kesa maimbyerna ako.

^^lanie, kami wala kaming program.  Wala rin kaming videos, slideshow, etc. Kainan lang talaga. Maybe a prayer before meals, but that's it.

^I think basta white yung candle, ok lang kahit anong color na ribbon or decor.

Still finalizing our caterer pero most likely Passion Cooks na. Need to find a baptismal gown for baby and we're all set.
