Hello everyone. My daughter's baptism will be two weeks from now. I'll be posting my suppliers rating as soon as the event is done. The ideas I read from this thread helped me a lot. So far eto yung mga suppliers na I booked plus cost:

Church: Sta Clara de Montefalco Church
Reception Venue: Riverfront Residences clubhouse (5k)
Caterer: Verleo (P300/pax, plus P3k for halo halo station, & P5k for the sushi bar)
Invitations: I designed it and had it printed by Storybook.Ph (P30/pc)
Sound System: still looking for a supplier yun kasing nahanap ko is not replying anymore kung kelan malapit na yung event
Cake: Estrel's
Photographer: Jun Hidalgo photograpy (kaso na hospital sya so hindi na sila pwede)
Candy Buffet: SweetK
Guests' souvenir: Flowers of Hope for Jewelyn flower pens
Godparent's souvenir: I want to buy an inspiration book for them (hanap pa ko sa Thurs sa Natl bookstore)
Balloons: I had to sacrifice this since wala nang budget so we'll DIY this

I also got a studio mobile who will do a themed set up. I will share my feedback as soon as matapos yung event. Cheers mommies!

Hello everyone,

I'm 7 months pregnant with a baby girl, and I'm (already) planning her baptism on August. So far, eto yung mga napili kong suppliers:

* Photographer: GING LORENZO
                               - Mahal na pala ng rates nya. Yung budget namin just for the service + pre-event session is Php 14,500. I know there are other photographers na mura and maganda naman din pictures. Pero I really want to get Ging Lorenzo sana. Tapos, gusto ko din sana ng maternity and newborn photo session, kaso Php 5,000 each yun.

                               - Other options:

• Pau Bengero http://pau.bengero.com/ - Rate: Php 6k with pre-event session

* Dessert Table: J.Cuppacakes
                               - Grabe sarap ng cupcakes nila! And ang ganda ng styling ng table.
                               - Rate: Php 10,000 for 50pax (included na yung styling sa package)
                               - You can choose 5 kinds of dessert. Yung pinili namin: cupcake, macaron, sugar cookies, cake pops, and either pop corn or marshmallows
                               - You can choose up to 3 flavors para sa cupcake and macaron

* Souvenirs: J.Cuppacakes
                               - Yung kasamang sugar cookies sa package, yun na yung souvenirs. Pinalagay ko na lang sa plastic with design

* Tokens for Godparents: J.Cuppacakes
                               - Meron silang flower cupcake bouquet na nasa vase. Php200 each pero pinagawa kong Php100 each para one vase per ninong/ninang

* Cake: J.Cuppacakes
                               - Price: Php 800
                               - Design: Ombre cake with bunting (or yung nakatusok na parang banner sa cake)

Other party details:
- Yung theme is "Meet Me in Paris", Color Pink (yung light/pastel shade)
- Caterer: di pa final pero choices are Passion Cooks, Bistro 109,  and Purple Dish. Budget is Php250. May masusuggest po ba kayo na fit sa budget pero masarap ang food?
- Invitation: Passport to Paris. DIY lang, budget is 1k.
- Decorations: I want ceiling swags, tapos DIY na yung iba. Budget is 10k, kasya ba yun?
- Venue: BSA Twin Tower or Valle Verde 4
- Church: Mary the Queen or Christ the King


I need help. I don't know how to cut down yung budget. Nakaka 60k na ko agad and for 50pax pa lang to. Baka sabihin, ang gastos gastos.

I also need help sa idea for the party. Parang nagiging pang-wedding yung decors ko. >.<''

To mommies, I recommend yung J.Cuppacakes. Meron akong packages nila. Pwede kong i-PM sa inyo.

Caterers do styling din naman, sis.  try mo rin queensland.  mura sila and marami packages.  Re: saving, determine alin priority mo.  Kasi if you have limited budget din, you should decide kung san mo gusto magsplurge talaga like kung photog, food, etc.

^^ Your baptism sounds a lot like my daughter's first birthday! We had it at VV4 clubhouse with Bistro109 as caterer and Ging was my photographer!

Note though that VV4 does not allow ceiling swags to be hung in the center due to the chandelier.

Thanks! Sige, we'll try Queensland. Budget sana is 50k. Pwede pa naman ng 60k. Pero yung sa ginawa ko, 61k na, wala pang bayad sa church, candles, dress, and other little stuff. Parang priority kasi lahat.

Wooow! How much yung sa Bistro109? And bawal swags sa VV4? Sa center lang ba yun? If center lang, baka sa side na lang. Baka maganda naman yung chandelier nila.

^depends on the package you choose. I customized mine and it was 480/pax.

Yes, you can't hang swags on the chandelier, though my stylist put in a high pole where she was still able to hang swags. Check out Spark + Twinkle on FB, our party is the shabby chic one she did this past weekend

We had my son's baptism last December at Archbishop's Palace at Shaw Blvd. If you don't mind, hindi naman siya malayo sa Makati Area. PHP2500 ang rate for special baptism sa small chapel nila. Both the rate and place are just nice Reception namin was at TGI Friday's BHS. Even if it rained that Saturday afternoon, wala naman traffic kaya smooth ang byahe from the church in Shaw to the reception in Makati

hi sis. i'm planning to have my son baptised at archbishop's palace din sana. ilang months away did you have them booked? May 11 ko sana kase balak, pero until now dipa ako pumupunta to book the church. ok lang ba na through phone lang muna? i'm about to give birth in 1 week kase. tawagan ko nalang muna sana and will ask somebody to pay nalang. pwede kaya yun? and how much yung fee for the godparents? tia.

Actually yung samin, kapatid ko talaga nag-asikaso. they only accept reservations 1 month in advance daw. nag-inquire kami mga 2mos. before eh, sabi tumawag daw ulit kapag almost a month na lang before the intended date. when we did, hindi agad sila nag-confirm, kasi kailangan pa nila i-double check with father's schedule daw. we followed-up after a week, then they finally accepted our reservation via phone. my sister paid on the same day, filled-up and submitted the registration form at the same time wala atang fee for godparents, we had 2 ninong and 4 ninangs hehe ang requirement lang nila ay yung white dress pang binyag with the white hat/cap and candles plus, no required seminar too! hope these can help!

Hindi na kami hiningan ng letter of consent from our parish ok na daw na representative yung kapatid ko kasi taga dun naman daw siya hindi na rin humingi ng marriage certificate, birth certificate lang binigay namin try mong mag-inquire na lang rin muna ng requirements/documents by phone, just to be sure very accommodating naman sila

Thanks sis maurice for the suggestions.. We're also considering Santuario de San Jose in Greenhills since ang venue na namin is sa Kamayan EDSA.. Birth Certificate lang din ang needed documents, no seminar, no permit from your parish.. But we have no idea kung pano sila nagbabaptize..

  Finally! Napabinyagan ko rin ang bunso. Hindi kasi catholic si hubby kaya medyo hindi na prioritize ang binyag. Its a long story.. Anyway importante may baptismal certificate na sya. After 3 days of preparation,

  Church - parish near our house special baptism kasi weekday.

    RANT: during the ceremony, hindi nag sign of the cross yung isang ninang, tinanong sya nung pari kung hindi ba sya catholic? Sabi nya hindi sya catholic. Bigla ba naman sinabi na "alis alis (with hand sign pa na paalis) hindi ka pwede mag ninang pag hindi catholic" .  Ang bastos talaga! Kakairita, nahiya tuloy ako sa friend ko. Buti na lang cool sya. Pwede nya sabihin yun in a nice manner, pero hindi. Bastos! Napahiya yung friend ko. Bad bad bad pari!

  Reception - Lunch at Vikings moa. Since biglaan lang talaga kaya god parents and imediate family members and close friends lang ang nakarating.

  Souvenirs - parker pen for the God parents lang.

Hindi pwede magninang pag di catholic? Oh no, i have 2 sponsors na non-catholic...but how come my other 2 older daughters naman may mga ninong and ninang na hindi catholic pero ok lang?  Well, actually, di naman kasi tinanong so we didn't volunteer the info...
Pero ang bastos naman nung priest, sis...pwede naman sabihin ng maayos...

sis aleng_maganda ang mean naman nun .. porket ba hindi catholic ang godparent they will never be a good godparent to the kid? Issue naman yan si Father.. alagad sya ng Diyos pero nangunguna sya sa pangdidiscriminate just because the friend of yours is not a catholic? grabe!!!
sorry affected ang peg hindi din kc ako catholic.. pag-aaralan ko na nga yang sign of the cross para sa binyag ng baby ko hindi ako palayasin .. hehe
