The commuting system in the Philippines really sucks! You're right sis itt, hindi dapat number coding ang solution! Here are some suggestions from an ordinary citizen like me;

1. We should have a separate terminal for provincial buses; no passing along EDSA. There should be a South Terminal, perhaps in Cavite or MOA, ang lawak lawak ng space dun sa Macapagal. Then passengers on that provincial bus will take another shuttle or train if babaybayin nila ang EDSA. Likewise, North Terminal should also be somewhere in North area, Valenzuela perhaps? Balintawak? On the other hand, EDSA buses should have a designated bus stops na hindi sa EDSA, abala pa din sila eh, sana meron allotted space sa unloading and loading na hindi sa EDSA. Para EDSA will be like expressway talaga!

2. Designated PUV stop (BUS, JEEP, FX, etc.). Para walang para ng para kung san. Remember na sa DRIVER ang discipline! Kung hindi naman hihinto si driver, hindi naman bababa ang pasahero, kahit sumigaw pa yan ng super loud PAAARAAAA Manong! Right? Also, not just along EDSA and main roads, dapat sa lahat.

3. The new number coding should be applied to all EDSA Buses, not to private vehicles, pano naman yung isa lang car? That's crazy!

4. I admire, Makati Jeepneys, they are indeed disciplined sa loading at unloading. Pati na din FORT BUSES. Manigas ka, hindi sila hihinto basta basta.

5. The MRT, LRT skipping train scheme should be reviewed. SANA more rails exclusively for skipping trains, say NORTH AVE-ORTIGAS-AYALA-TAFT, Que. Ave-Santolan, Shaw, Buendia, Magallanes, etc. Para naman to those na nag mamadali, mas mabilis and hindi masyadong masikip, less stress to everyone, less away inside the train.

6. Universal Ticket system (TAP system like HK, Singapore, etc) for Bus, Cab, train, jeep (if possible). This also reflects the honesty system of the Filipinos.

7. More elevated U turn slots.

8. More efficient mobile app for traffic updates like the one from MMDA.

If only, convenient ang commuting system sa Philippines, masaya sana tayong lahat.

1. point system ng driver's license. i dunno whats called exactly... pero parang sa may score car ka. everytime you commit a violation bawas ng bawas ang perfect score mo, until such time na revoked na driving privilege lalo na yung mga repeat offenders and major violations.

2. stiffer penalties for traffic violations. deterrent ito sa mga matitigas ang ulo.

3. no parking space/lot, no business... . eto yung mga businesses na walang alloted parking for their customers. example nito yung mga vulcanizing shops na sa tabi ng daan nagre-repair... or yung mga lechon manok stores... kasi 2 lanes na nga lang, if magpark pa yung customer sa kalye eh di single lane na lang pwedeng magamit.

3. no garage, no car... i may get stoned for this. pero i think di dapat pinaparada mga private vehicles sa kalye/ tapat ng bahay lang. dapat may garahe ka kung saan dapat mong ipark ang cars mo... alam ko sa news may mga instances na di maka daan emergency vehicles like fire trucks kasi blocked ng mga parked cars yung daan.

4. i dunno if this is taught is school right now... pero maaga palang, kids should be taught about traffic rules, especially siguro yung nasa public schools. para di tawid ng tawid. or yung nag aantay ng public ride sa gitna ng kalye.

The news about the yaya who was caught on camera shaking a 3-month old baby. As a mom, it was really painful to watch the video. The yaya's name is Mary Bernadette Longcop aka "Badette" and she is currently at large. I hope she gets caught.

saka hopefully, sana ngayon, second offense pa lang huli na! kasi hassle talaga tas dapat may manghuhuli din sa
mga traffic enforcers na kurakot. nakakainit lang talaga ng dugo. saka isa pa yung informal settlers / land grabbers along the roads. Ginawa

so mag ppower trip sila kasi hahanapin sila ng tao. sa MRT sana may express train tipong NORTH to taft ( or Ayala )  na straight. tas sa rush hour may empty train na diretso sa ayala kasi napansin ko pag rush hour halos wala na makapasok sa ayala station so kawawa naman yung sa mga susunod na stations.

Re car violations, sana katulad sa states din, yung may camera sa bawat sulok tapos kapag may violation ka, reflected agad sa license mo. para takot silang mahuli. kasi lahat ngayon sinusuhulan na kaya kahit may point system, abot na lang para hindi lagyan license.
