Does your dad say sorry?
« on: February 05, 2013, 09:00:22 pm »
Does your dad say sorry to you when he has realized he did something wrong to you?

Mine doesn't. For whatever reason or circumstance, he just doesn't. I'm wondering if all fathers are like this.

Yes. There was one time na super nagalit ako dahil nasaktan ako sa ginawa nya sa amin. Nag sorry naman sya, and I know he's sincere. Naawa din naman ako sa kanya kasi narealize ko, parang wala akong karapatang magalit sa kanya after all he sacrificed for our family.

^Sis, baka your dad is the type na ma-pride. Alam mo yun?

^tama yung term mo sis: Ma-pride. He's above us all. Aside from that, he's so patriarchal. Only the father is the head of the family, mother is second in command only. So he has the last say on everything despite the fact that my mom is the breadwinner.

Maybe mine is worse.

My dad doesn't. My mom doesn't too.

More of They are The boss.

Iba ako kasi. Several times I've said sorry to my kid.

^That's good to know. My sister is also like that with her daughter. I guess when I become a mom myself I would do the same.

Good thing my mom knows how to say sorry kahit small issue lang.

Actually it came to a point na hindi kami nag-uusap for many years sa mom ko.

Anyway, ok na kaming magpapamilya sa ngayon. But still, no sorrys, hehe. I learned to accept it. Maybe it works.

Yung father ko naman kasi, tahimik. Not the type na mabiro. Not the type rin na tipong makakausap mo ng pa-open forum style or someone na pwedeng hingan ng advice. Too serious. As in tahimik na tao talaga. Di naman mahiyain. Sabihin na natin na hindi siya ganun ka-expressive as most typical guys.

^True, acceptance is key. And they're at a point in their life na gusto nila sila naman iintindihin after bringing you up. And yeah, since your father is the quiet type, while my dad is the suplado type, why on earth would they say sorry diba?

^^^Ganun nga siguro thinking nya sis, dahil sya ang padre de familia, sya ang laging tama. May I know how old your dad is? My dad just turned 50 btw.

no. neither does my mom. but we dont fight because ever since i was a kid, it has been made clear to me that i am not, nor will i ever be on the same level as them. although wala naman major na problema sa amin. kung simpleng inis inis lang about habits and stuff, madali yun. lumilipas na lang.

No, he NEVER said sorry...
I dunno, mahirap ba sa lalaki mag sorry?  :-\

When he was alive, , my dad never said "sorry".  Deadma.

My mom is worst!  No shred of "sorry whatever" in her DNA.  The whole world  is wrong!, she is always  right... Or she has a convenient scapegoat to blame.

^same goes with my Dad AND Mom!

Whatever my dad says is 110% lie.
Yung mommY ko naman has the whole world din to blame on whatever that happened to her.

Tsk. Losers.

In my 31 years I haven't heard my father say sorry. Feeling ko he thinks it's a sign of weakness.

Yes, my dad says sorry, though sometimes it's not always sincere but more to appease me when I'm really angry, he does the same to my aunt, his older sister. But more than just words of apologies, I would really prefer they changed their lives na lang, I mean change for the better, I would be more than grateful if they do. (They means all family members)
