mla-banaue-bontoc-sagada rin ang mas paborito kong route papuntang sagada kesa mla-baguio-sagada. hilo kasi ako sa hanselma highway. mas enjoy pa ang view pa-banaue/bontoc. iyon lang medyo natakot na rin akong dumaan doon ngayon kasi sabi wala na raw byahe ang cable tours at florida bus na nga daw ang pumalit.

kami naman manila-baguio-sagada yung route. Ok naman yung byahe. Madami nga zigzag pero so far di kami nahilo. Tip na lang siguro is make sure sa bandang middle kayo ng bus. When we went there, sa kagustuhan namin makadating maaga dun, sa likod kami nakapwesto. ayun para lang kaming popcorn na niluluto! haha! pero ok naman di naman kami sumuka. maybe mataas lang tolerance ko sa ganyan (gala kasi eh).
i realized pa na ok na din yung manila-baguio route. at least may matagal na pahinga kesa naman 12 hours na nasa loob ng bus. Hindi masyado pagod.

gusto ko rin yung manila-banaue-sagada para may sidetrip sa bananue rice terraces.

ohayami bus sinakyan namin from manila to banaue, then van from banaue to sagada. 10 kami na passengers, maingat naman yung driver. lalo na kapag zero visibility, last December kasi yon, foggy.

ok din naman ang ohayami bus. minsan may dumederetso ng sagada pero kami noon bumaba na sa banaue kasi may contact na kaming jeep papuntang sagada.

tuloy pa ba or uli ang bus routes pa sagada? parang there was a time na suspended dahil dun sa accident. has anyone been to sagada lately? thanks peeps

Can anyone confirm na wala nang byahe ang Cable Tours?

^ang pagkakaalam ko, yung cable tours ay nakuha ng florida na sinakyan ni Tado. Hindi pa naman official pero ang alam ko yun ang claim. possible na yung lizardo yata na galing ng Baguio ay tuloy pa din.

what's the better route? in terms of convenience and safety -- manila-banaue-sagada or manila-baguio-sagada?

^^Wala nang cable tours for almost a year already na kinuha ni Florida line nila pero unfortunately suspended na rin si Florida due to the accident.

^As for safety and convenience, first the driver must be familiar with the road situation.  Same naman road situation on both routes, winding and mabangin.  You can take both routes, let's say when going to Sagada you can take the Banaue route then when returning here at Manila take the Baguio route.

Sa first day, kaya ba pagsunurin ang Echo Valley then Bomod-ok or Marlboro Country?

^Echo Valley is just with in the town proper so pwede yun gawin before or after Bomod-ok or Malrboro Country. Bomod-ok and Marlboro are more on trekking, and I mean long walk.  We will be at Sagada next week, just after holy week and before Labor day.  Iwas sa maraming tao.

^sabi mas maganda na kakaunti ang tao kapag spelunking kasi madilim, mas feel ang adventure ng papunta sa cave. sana makabalik din ako ng mas kaunti ang tao.

Sa first day kasi diba half day na lang meron ka after arrival, check-in, lunch. what's better for first day, bomod-ok then echo valley or echo valley then marlboro mountain?

^parang di mo masisiksik sa half day ang bomod-ok-echo valley? although mabilis lang naman ang echo valley...haha! sorry, not so helpful.di namin pinuntahan yung marlboro mountain so di ko alam kung gaano katagal lakaran dun. ang sigurado ko lang, mapapagod ka ng bongga sa bomod-ok.

^^ The first time I was there, we did the Echo Valley tour on the morning and then afternoon sa Marlboro mountain including lake danum. We rented van that time kasi parang ang layo. Second time, my friend and I together with our guide walked/hiked from GeorgeGuesthouse to Mt. Ampacao to Lake Danum and back to guesthouse. Sakit ng katawan namin after. Hahaha

After I saw PPUR, gusto ko na rin makita ang Sagada Cave.

went to sagada last holyweek, as expected madami tao lalo na sa sumaguing cave. halos mahirap makakuha ng solo pic. Kakaibang experience to, di ko ineexpect na makakaya ko. madulas, madilim, mapapahawak ka talaga ng mahigpit sa mga bato na may tae pa ng paniki, pero I won't regret this. . I'm happy na nagawa ko to. nakaka proud lang. 

Yung byahe namin, we took manila-banaue-sagada papunta. pinipilit kong wag matulog lalo na gabi at puro zigzag ang daan kaso naka dizzitab ako kaya most of the time tulog talaga ako. we were not able to see banaue rice terraces kasi sobrang ma fog. Our first day went well with the sumaguing cave. Had our lunch at Salt and Pepper and dumaan din kami sa Yoghurt House and Lemon Pie House para matry din namin. Mega foodtrip!

The following day trekking to Bomod-ok falls, medyo late call time namin kaya sobrang init. Ang layo pala, halos sumakit binti namin sa kakalakad. Buti nalang may tungkod malaking tulong at malapad na sumbrero. Sobrang nag enjoy ako sa view, yung falls naman so-so lang siguro kasi may nakita na ako falls na mas maganda pa. as usual, marami din tao kaya di rin masyadong makakuha ng maayos na pictures. We missed the hanging coffin instead we headed to St. Mary's church. Did a short tour around and inside church. After that, diretso na dapat kami sa Echo valley kaso umulan na naman kaya di na kami tumuloy. We decided na bumili nalang na pasalubong but our guide insisted na dumaan kami sa Ganduyan museum, buti nalang di namin pinalampas to. You'll learn alot esp. yung culture and history of Sagada. Nakaka amaze yung stories and their way of life. We tried the famous pinikpikan for our dinner, but for me parang natatabangan ako. or maybe it's just me?. . Unfortunately nung gabi umulan na naman kaya our supposedly "kiltepan sunrise" e hindi na napush through on our last day dahil ma fog and madulas din ang daan. Going back Manila, we took the sagada-baguio route. We stopped by the Phil's highway system highest point. and headed to La Trinidad, bought pasalubong bago diretso na Manila.

All in all this trip is really remarkable kahit na buwis buhay talaga. Sayang lang at marami kami namiss due to the weather conditions. . esp ang Kiltepan, sobrang nanghihinayang talaga ako. But I am glad that I made it to Sagada. . at last!

last april 18 we went to SAGADA.. grabe it's my first time to do trekking and spelunking.. over yun papuntang PONGAS FALLS.. but worth it naman.. till now my sunburn pa din ako.. hehe.. nakakatuwa lang yun mga tao dun dahil they always smile and the speak english talaga..

Just got back here in Manila from a week vacation at Sagada.  First thing I miss upon getting back is the cold weather.  It's raining every afternoon at Sagada kaya wala ka talaga magawa sa hapon kundi magkulong na lang.  Less tourists when we were there but when we left for Baguio Friday afternoon, ang dami na naman tao.
