When we got our Hurom in late 2012 ang sipag namin ni hubby mag juicing halos everyday. After awhile natamad na rin kami gamitin. Now we only get to use it mga once a week na lang. Maybe we should get back to doing this.

hi sis creamy,

Centrifugal -  are not effective grass and leaf juicers. Additionally, the pulp generated by a centrifugal juicer is still relatively wet, meaning that some juice goes to waste.
Another disadvantage is the shelf life of the juice from a centrifugal juicer. Because of the high speed required to extract juice, the juice gets aerated, or in other words a great deal of oxygen is dissolved into the juice. The oxygen bubbles in the juice causes the juice to oxidize (spoil) quickly. As a result, the juice from a centrifugal juicer should be consumed right away and can't be effectively stored for any length of time without loss of nutritional value. If you wish to store juice, consider a low speed juicer like a single or twin gear juicer.

Masticating- use a single gear or auger that literally chews fruit and vegetable fibers and breaks up the plant cells, resulting in more fiber, enzymes, vitamins and trace minerals. Masticating juicers are generally more efficient than Centrifugal juicers because they can extract more juice from the same amount of food (i.e. the pulp comes out drier). Masticating juicers are very capable at juicing virtually any fruit and vegetable, and single gear juicers will also extract juice from leaves and grasses, like wheatgrass, spinach, lettuce, parsley, and other leafy greens and herbs.

Another benefit of masticating juicers is that they operate at slower speeds (RPMs) than centrifugal juicers, resulting in less foam and heat, which means more nutrition in your glass. The low speed also increases the shelf life of the juice so that you can generally store your juicer for a few days.

Sorry ang haba. Copied and pasted from google!

i saw koii sa SM manila kahapon eh. Im eyeing matstone or hurom, di ko lang talaga alam anong mas maganda. Sa SM appliance kasi Matstone lang ang meron, its 14000 tas pag cash is 13000. Puwede din naman i 0% sa card for 12mos. hehe.

So since wala pa ko juicer, i drink nalang muna lemon water, lagi sumasakit tiyan ko hehe...

i have question, some juices na nakikita ko sa instagram, sabi nila wala daw water.
I bought a detox juice sa sugarleaf, malapot kasi siya parang tomato paste.

To be sure na you're getting pure juice and not some adulterated conconction, better invest in a good slow juicer and juice them yourself.

 :)

Hi mga sis, thank you so much sa mga inputs. I'm learning a lot from this thread. Hindi ako mahilig sa fruits at veggies, but now that I am getting older, this would be the best alternative. I am having issues na lang on what juicer to buy, yung madali sana linisin. I am currently using Imarflex, gift lang sa baby ko nung binyag nya, na sobrang wet pa ang mga pulp after juicing, parang nakakahinayang na madami pa ang hindi napiga. So, I am thinking of upgrading to Hurom or Breville if budget permits so..hehe.

Keep it coming mga sis. Cheers to a healthier 2014!

Hi girls,

Need ko kasi, my dad has cancer of the esophagus, and mahihirapan mag swallow ng solids. And also, juicing for a healthy drink for him since nabasa namin na broccoli is good to combat his cancer.

please any help and suggestions. salamat!

I love juicing! Pero yun nga ang hirap hugasan. What i do is to combine fruits ang veggies para macover yung lasa ng veggies and neutralize yung sweetness ng fruits. :) i havent tried replacing my meals with juices pero yung snacks ko usually juice na lang or smoothie.
