Over the weekend slathered on honey and cinnamon mask on my face.

Lately, I used honey as a facial wash, nothing else.  So far, so good.

Scrubs

**Sugar Scrub

Ingredients:

1 tsp organic cane sugar
1-2 drops of water
1-2 drops orange, lemon, lavender or melaleuca essential oil
How you do it:

Mix all ingredients in a bowl until combined.   Rub into clean face by using gentle circular motions, avoiding the eyes.  Rinse with water and pat dry.  If you need a moisturizer, rub in a light layer of olive oil.

** Coffee Scrub

Ingredients
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp coconut oil
1 tbsp sea salt

Mix the ground coffee with raw sugar and sea salt. Add the olive oil and coconut oil. And voila, coffee body scrub.

Hair Treatment

AVOCADO

Avocado has a well-deserved reputation for one of nature’s perfect foods. Its oils and proteins will smooth and moisturize your locks without weighing down fine hair. Mash up half an avocado and add a couple of drops of peppermint essential oil. Shampoo hair, squeeze out water and apply mask. Let it sit for 15 minutes and then rinse. My hair came out super soft – not flat or greasy. And the added scent made sitting around with green goop on your head much more pleasant. If you’re not worried about weighing down your hair you can amp up the moisture by adding 1-2 tablespoons of oil, egg yolk or yogurt.

COCONUT OIL

The wonders of coconut oil never cease! This oil is heavy, which is great for penetrating deep into the hair shaft, but use it sparingly, especially if you have fine or thin hair. Take a tablespoon of coconut oil and apply to the ends of damp hair. If the oil is solid just warm in the microwave until liquid before applying. Got really dry hair? Keep the oil on overnight and shampoo out in the morning.

BANANA + OLIVE OIL

Not only can bananas work their magic on your feet, but they are awesome for your hair! Mix a banana with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and mash thoroughly until the banana is pureed. (You want a smoothie like texture so you don’t end up with banana chunks in your hair.) Then massage into your hair and scalp. Leave treatment on for 30 minutes then rinse thoroughly and shampoo.

SUGAR WATER

If your hair is frizzy, try mixing a packet of sugar (about a teaspoon or so) with a cup of water. Pour a bit into your palms then run hands over dry hair. Your hair will get a slight bit of “crunch” and hold because you basically just made homemade hair spray!

APPLE CIDER VINEGAR

An apple cider vinegar rinse helps clarify and smooth hair cuticles – the secret to shiny hair! Combine a tablespoon of vinegar with a 1/2 cup of water and pour over damp hair. Add a couple of drops of essential oil is the smell is too much. Comb through hair, let it sit for five minutes and then rinse. The acidity in the vinegar helps seal the outermost layer of your hair, the cuticles, making it lie flat.

home made deo....
2 spoon baking soda
2 spoon cornstarch
1 tsp virgin coconut oil
3 drops of tea tree oil
lavander oil (optional)
sun flower oil (optional)

mix 2 dry ingridients by swifter,,
in a separate container, mix coco oil,tea tree oil and lavender oil
then slowly add in dry mixture,,mix until it fully disolved...
place in a clean dry container,,,i usually put it in a small pump bottle...

if baking soda is too abrasive to your skin ...1 spoon of baking soda and 3 spoon of cornstarch will do or omit baking soda ,just use 4 spoon of cornstarch

or if ayaw nyo may oil na halo...

1 spoon of baking soda
3 spoon of cornstarch
mix ,then put in small clean baby powder container...

@danhika ,hindi ka dapat nagpapahid basta basta sa anak mo,sensitibo balat nila,,una ilan taon na ba anak mo? anong klaseng peklat? kasi kadalasan nawawala peklat ng bata habang lumalaki,so no need na mag pahid ng kung ano ano,,if maitim, you can try try sun flower oil pero hindi mabilis ang effect ...usually kapag madali magpaputi lalo na may tatak chinese its either may steroid o mercury so ingat sa mabilisang pagpahid,,,vit e oil helps in keloid,,or u can try 1 calamansi w/honey enough to make paste before apply until fully absorbed,,but then again, nawawala ang peklat sa bata naturally ...

@marie sis 5years old anak ko. Yes kaya inistop na namin ang bl cream kasi gawang china. and nakakahinala kasi bilis makaputi ng peklat. Ang peklat nya dahil sa mga insect bite. Kadalasan kasi kinakamot nya ayun nagsusugat. We tried sebo de macho before but nagkakapantal sya ulit kaya inistop nalang namin. Now safe guard sabon nya. I will try that sun flower oil.

home made face toner...
25ml apple cidar vinegar(braggs acv) can be bought in robinson supermarket, healthy options
75ml distilled water
place in a clean empty toner container and shake
soak in a piece of cotton ball and apply to face
you may adjust the quantity of acv into 1:1 but never apply pure onto your face

so far ok sa face ko...mabilis matuyo pimple ko lalo na if binabad ko ng 1 minute...
then after it dries up,follow up with your moisturizer ....

My DIY masks before I switched to BP, effective!

Baking soda mask: BS and konting water to form a paste. Apply sa face and babad 5-30 minutes. Dries up pimples fast.
Then : Honey mask: Cinnamon and honey to form a very thick paste. Babad 30 to an hour. No need to moisturize na after.

This combo is really effective. Great for acne-prone skin. Noong ginamit ko to yung pimples hindi nagiwan ng scars. Also natalsikan ng hot oil yung malapit sa nose ko one time, ako pa naman sobrang peklatin. Himala talaga na nawala/hindi sya nagscar. That was because of this. Heehee. :-*
