Currently at Anika Island Resort.

Ok ang byahe going here. No issues sa bus or ferry.

For this resort, on ang generator from  9am to 1pm and 5pm to 3am, although today so far they only turned it off from 5pm-5:30pm to refuel yata. Maganda ang resort and so happy to see na super dmai ng tao!

I miss bantayan. Siguro next year na lang ako pupunta pag totally ok na din sila. Might try camotes as well. Maganda din daw kasi dun. Ü

virgin island maganda sana kasi ang linis ng tubig kaso sobrang mabato.

been here last year, June. Sa Anika kami nag stay then lumipat sa kabilang resort. Iniexperience lang si anika. Then nag ikot ikot pumunta sa kabilang side ng beach sa ogtog cave. Nice dun. Nag visit lang kami at nag pay ng entrance fee. Kung may budget lang gusto ko mag solo travel dun. Safe talaga. Bait pa ng mga tao.

Hello!

We just got back from a 5-day vacay in Cebu and our first trip was to Bantayan Islands. We landed at Sta. Fe at 2:30PM. A colleague recommended us at Kota Beach but it was fully booked when we arrived there. We ended up at "bahay kubo" recommended by our sidecar driver which is located across Coral Blue Oriental Beach Villas. Our accomodation was near the beach, & walking distance to the public market. It was P500 per room (fan) per night. We had our first dinner at Blue Ice Grill - downside, costly food, slow service.

Second day, we rented a boat to Virgin Beach then (the very isolated) Paradise Beach. Entrance at Virgin Beach is P500 for 2. We didn't rent any cottage (lowest was P300, I think). Pwede magpaluto ng lunch at Virgin Beach. Our boat ride cost us P800, from past 7AM to 2PM.

We rented a motorcycle for P200, and travelled to Bantayan, then to Madridejos to see the sun set at Kota Park. Our second dinner was at Daddy Dok's resto - cheaper. Our last night was surreal - high tide beach plus full moon. There was a nipa hut fronting the beach; & we stayed there until 12 MN.

We left Sta. Fe at 7 AM to travel to Oslob.

anika or kota beach resort? planning to go here soon but still looking for budget friendly accommodations. ok ba talaga yung sandbar sa kota? parang i read somewhere kasi na its not well maintained..

hi! mga sis. any updates sa mga resort sa Bantayan? We are scheduled to go there on dec. I'm choosing either Annika or Kota, which is better resort to stay kaya?

^was in Bantayan Island last Oct 24-26.  we stayed at Anika.  ok naman dun, relaxing at malinis. ang disappointment lang namin is walang cable yung tv nila kahit local channels di mo makita though they provide DVDs.  ok sana beach nila, may mga dried leaves nga lang pero malinaw pa rin naman.  love the sunrise in Anika.  effort para sakin na kunan yun kasi di naman ako morning person.  sinubukan din namin mag punta sa kabilang side pero hapon na rin kasi nun, sand bar lang nakita namin and kumain sa Tristan's.  one should never miss visiting Virgin Beach.  dito kami nagpakanognog.  konti lang tao so beach bum lang talaga.  pero pagdating ng mga after lunch, ayan na ang mga Koreano.

stayed in Anika from feb 2-5 for our honeymoon. was supposed to be there feb1 pa lang kaso they cancelled the ferry around 1pm. hindi na kami nakatawid sa sobrang lakas ng alon sa sta fe port. had no choice but to stay in hagnaya/san remigio for the night. good thing may nearby resorts there and anika was kind enuf to cancel our first night.

the next day, mejo ganun pa din, malakas ang hangin coz of the amihan pero nag operate na ulit ang ferry.finally we were able to reach sta fe! our first 2 days in bantayan, sobrang lamig ang lakas ng hangin due to amihan. pero after that, the weather improved and dun na lumabas talaga ang kagandahan nya. its the best beach weve gone to, so far. better than bora! its actually bora without the crowds. perfect sya for honeymooners. esp sa mga beach bum like me. we rented bikes and toured the island. we also walked on our second day there. people are nice and the food is cheap, esp if you eat dun sa local carinderias.

about those asking if the kota sandbar is nice, ok naman sya, mabato nga lang. we went there via sugar beach and sobrang sakit maglakad ng barefoot. we also went to virgin island, and sobrang ganda tlaga dun. visited tristans pizza and met the super nice owner mam nancy. maganda din yung beachfront nila, libre pati ang swim. malawak esp if lowtide. sa sobrang ganda ng bantayan, we stayed another day and cancelled the first night sa cebu city hotel namin. sulit ang pagod and haba ng byahe.

good thing we went there during off season. sobrang tahimik, mas madami pang foreign tourists than pinoys. hopefully ma-maintain ng bantayan yung quaint rural feel nila unlike bora na sobrang abused and commercialized na.
