i do the envelope method, meron akong breakdown ng sweldo ko, tapos i TRY to stick w/in the budget.

^ I enrolled both my payroll and personal account online so that I can do fund transfer. My personal account doesnt have an atm.
Haha! Effective siya for me, kasi before ganyan din ako sayo, tinatamad na magpunta ng bank to deposit.
Now, lipat agad!

coffee, we do our own 3-in-1 everyday, mas mura na sakto pa sa taste mo yun timpla.

Shuttle ride is P50/way. Bus ride is P28/way.
- Maglakad kung kaya. Exercise din yun!
- Iwas sa fast food at convenience stores. Gulay ang lunch ko, P25 lang per day. Mura na, healthy pa!
- Work around a budget.

So far, these are working for me.

Careful though, kapag maraming Kurot... Dakot na rin yan.

Yep, this is making rounds sa mga social networks at forums. Very well said. Mga Chinoys kasi they like to hold off comforts for the meantime kasi, while the Pinoys like to spend agad.

Thank you for sharing sisses! Ako din i'm into savings na. mejo mahirap kasi i am a struggling shopaholic pero so far unti unti narerehabilitate ko na ang finances ko. I'm used to getting allowance kasi from my mom and of course mas marami syang cash to burn kesa sa akin kaya bilang nasanay ako sa lifestyle na kinalakihan ko, tinuloy tuloy ko hanggang magsuffer and bank account ko. so far nakakarecover na -- i have investments, savings accounts (emergency, regular) and sariling house n lot natin. sana tuloy tuloy na to financial freedom! woot!

^nice sis keep it up.

kami ni bf naisip namin, since may plan to settling down.. balak talaga namin bumili ng house. pero since 2 palang kami ok na muna yung maliit, kaya plan namin magpatayo ng paupahan katabi ng house namin, if magkaron na kami ng kids, bibili nalang kami uli ng bahay na sakto samin. sayang din kasi yung pera if ibabangko lang. at least yun may business kami aside sa work namin

^ oo maganda magkaron ng business and paupahan is good kasi may return of investment agad. tsaka maraming naghahanap ng rentals lalo na kung good location so bawi agad, unlike pag business na food, fashion or anything na ang hirap pakitain kasi dami din competition.
Gusto rin namin ni fiance iconvert yun house nila sa parang walk up apartelle/condo-ish since malapit sa mga factories sa qc ang bahay nila na yun and walang nakatira except isang malayong relative nila na nagrerent sa katabi ng main house. Pero wala pa kaming budget to convert yung bahay to a 4 to 5-storey building e.

yes sis stylishmomy iba't-iba tayo ng strategy as long as taken cared-off na ang pangretirement why not enjoy the fruits of our labor, dapat may fun fund din.  :)

wow sis rhia00 kaya na'tin to, basta naka-allocate lahat ng pera mas madali, of course kasali na sa allocation yung fun fund.  ;D

sis, how much po ba ina-allocate nyo for your fun fund? i assume this is for shopping, travel, etc. feeling ko kasi sinasakal ko sarili ko. 1% lang budget ko dito based from my salary.  :o

in terms of saving, i do zero-based budgeting and envelope method. effective naman. dati ang hirap kong mag-save for my emergency fund, but after adapting this, i'm now about halfway done for my goal this year. :)

For vacation, we usually travel twice a year. Normally I try to save 1500 every week for me ha so that's 6k a month. Normally kasi sis bago dumating ang vacation namin say summer and normally yung mid year vacation, naisave na namin yun in between ng summer and months na di kame nagvavacation. As for shopping, i dont buy always lalo na kung di pa naman kailangan. If marami kang damit, make sure na you know to mix and match them. So try to buy clothes na multi purpose or you can use im different situation. Meaning you can dress it down or dress it up.

Normally sis sabe depende sa salary mo. Compute mo muna how much you need in order to survive in a month. Yung mga necessity lang ha, like pamasahe, baom and all. Then yung mga bills mo. Then yung tira, hatiin mo for your savings and half maybe for your leisure.

sis artificialstar kay Miriam Q. sis is 5% for fun fund. In our case naman sis we're saving more than 50% ng salary ni Mister so if may subra pa from our expenses yun na yung fun fund namin and of course yung bonus din nya.

^^ Ako sis normally ang ginagawa ko, less bills tapos less din bi-weekly allowance then less din yung automated savings and investment na hulog. Then may alkansya pa ako for daily change/coins hahaha. Yung ibang kakilala ko ang gawa nila is 50%bills and cost of living allowance 30%savings and investment then 20% for whatever you want.
