ako mga sis honestly nahihirapan mag budget. I dont want to make an excuse of kulang  ang sweldo ko. I know na if there is a will there is a way. Nakalista na lahat ng gastos ko and yung mga extra. Pray pray lang ako na makaya ko. Big challenge para sa akin.

I have many credit cards na iba-iba ang function. Merong may rebates for grocery shopping, rebates sa fuel, rebates sa department stores, etc. I religiously use them sa mga ganyan kasi sayang din talaga ang mga discount. But I see to it that I pay in full and on time.

Important is to plan how u will spend ur income. I used to earn only 10k per month, 5k ang rent ko, so kelangan ko pag kasyahin ang 5K remaining. Kung hindi ko plinano, hindi talaga mag kakasya.

definitely joining, thanks a lot to freelancer_babe for all the advises and computation :) great great help sis!

I know this aint going to be easy, lifestyle change is needed. Like everyone says, if there's a will, there's a way :) Im starting by curbing down the going out with hubby, that saves us 1-1500 a day, next will be looking for activities for the kids during weekend na di masyadong magastos. Will inquire sa school about enrolling them sa sports as their weekend activity, may fee but at least it's not as expensive as going out to the mall every weekend.

Keep the tips  and motivation coming ladies!  ;D

@stylishmomy,

no problem sis.

i think mas ok yan, yung paunti-unti na aalisin yung mga "unnecessary" things. yan din ang ginagawa ko. i think it applies to many aspects in life - whether we are trying to lose weight (what I'm struggling right now), alisin ang bisyo, alisin ang bad habits, and here... yung pag-manage ng extra expenses.

keep on listing down expenses even how small they are. you can try also doing my computation how much you'd save if you remove or replace an activity that costs you money. cost of savings per month and cost of savings per year ... surely, the figures that you get will keep you motivated. simpleng math lang yan, nothing algebraic. mas madaling maintindihan and will keep things in check. ;)

if you can't remove the source of your expense, think of a way to monetize it...

example:
DSL subscription - sell things online; create a blog; look for part time online work

i need to subscribe to this thread as well. we need a lot of cost cuttngs. pero sine-set ko pa ang mind ni hubby. kasi katulad the other day went we had our grocery, may nakalista na akong mga kelangan ko lang bilihin. aba at si hubby eh kung ano-ano ang inilagay sa cart na unnecesary naman. bigla ko nga isnimangutan sa grocery then pinagsabihan ko na hindi naman kailangan yon bakit pa namin kelangan bilhin. eh di hindi na lang siya nagsalita.  >:(
ako ang iniisip ko na lang ngayon is kung ang isang bagay ay hindi ko naman kailangan bilhin, or mabubuhay naman ako hanggang sya, mnext month ng walang ganong bagay, hindi ko na muna bibilhin. i hope it works for us.well, kailangan ko pa rin kausapin si hubby ng masinsinan tungkol sa mission ko na magtipid at makaipon na kami.  ;D

Right now, nagtatabi ako any amount sa office. in 10 days naka 600+ ako. Not bad! Hahah! ;D

And now, I'm really sticking to my budget.

You really have to put your mind in it for it to work. :)

@nessy, ganun din hubby ko spender talaga. If may pera parang nag-iisip na kung anong pedeng bilhin kahit di naman importante/kailangan talaga. I successfully convinced him na mag-ipon and now he is very motivated na to do it kasi nakikita nya every month na lumalaki na net worth namin. We also track our expenses every month and pinapakita ko rin sa kanya yung excel, doing this we became aware kung nag-ooverspend ba kami on something unnecessary. I think nakakatulong talaga if may record.

My hubby din is very magastos. Eto problema ko. So paano ko siya ma convince without sounding too harsh?

So ayon di na nya tinuloy yung plans nya to buy new gadget kasi di pa naman kailangan for now and nag-iisip na sya before buying. Pero mahilig pa rin sa Sale, so work in progress pa rin kami.
