kakagaling ko lang ng puerto prinsesa nitong weekend. nakakamiss agad yung lugar. at

we're going there on June 8-10, and we'll be staying at sheridan beach resort. i think this is very near underground river na. siguro naman if we reserve now, may slots pa. yun lang naman gusto namin makita actually.

11k yung mountain view room nila, 3d/2n, for 2 pax. got it from the travel tour expo.

now i don't know how to go about getting a permit for the underground river. i've backread already, and most that i've read was booking a tour from the city. yung may kasamang van for land travel. since we don't need that, i'm unsure now. the hotel quoted us {1500/person! is there any way to get a permit in advance without asking assistance from the hotel?

^hi sis. we have similar circumstances in that we are also staying for two nights in Sabang, sa Daluyon Beach Resort kami. so hindi rin kami sa city manggagaling when we do our UGR tour. since ayoko ng hassle, i just availed of Daluyon's services for the Underground River tour w/ lunch, P1,240/person. para sila na mag-reserve for us. kalagitnaan ng summer kasi kami pupunta kaya super peak, ayokong maubusan ng UGR tickets.

avail mo na lang yung sa Sheridan para walang hassle, afford mo naman yata. hehe

Regarding the underground river package offered by hotels/B&Bs/etc, pwede bang mamili ng time? We don't want it to be too early.

^pwede kang mamili ng time, but don't hope too much na makukuha mo nga yung ideal time mo kasi maraming tourists lalo na pag summer ka pupunta. so you'll have to adjust your itinerary based on what schedule is actually available. but yes, pwede ka mamili ng time. just hope that that's still available. so book as early as you can.

i just wanna know if there are other options to get a permit and reserve a slot without going through th ehotel, na cheaper, obviously.even if we can afford it, of course i'll look for a more affordable way pa rin, lalo na if if there are other readily available options naman pala.

first off, we only chose sheridan because of the promo. we've been eyeing that daluyon for years already, but super mahal ng land transfers nya from the airport. yung sa sheridan, free na yung land transfers namin, round trip.

as far as i've read, everybody went through an agency of some sort for the underground river tour, or personally went there. ayopko naman to gamble on the reservation and go there mismo on the day of our trip.

pag 3D2N pwede bang mag UGR at honda bay tour? gano katagal kaya each? and sa mga nag stay sa dos palmas walang choice kundi dun kumain? since may sched yung free boat rides? and any ideas sa beach resort na medyo affordable? thanks!

for 3D/2N, yes kaya ang UGR and Honda Bay tour depending on your flight schedule, pero di na kaya ang Dos Palmas (also, no choice but to eat there unless kaya mong tiisin ang gutom mo until makabalik ka).

if your arrival flight is morning, pwedeng day 1 ang UGR (basta pa-reserve na agad kayo ng schedule para sigurado). day2 ang Honda Bay. day 3 which is your departure day, depende kung anong oras yun, pwede ka pa makapag-City tour (short version, so piliin niyo lang what you want to visit).

pareho tayo sis, 3d 2n lang kami, though maaga ang dating namin sa PP at late na din ang pauwi back to manila
so marami pang magagawa.
hindi ko lang sure kung anong magandang gawin during the day 1, if UGR na ba or Honda Bay muna. balak din namin
mag day tour sa dos palmas. gusto ko talagang puntahan yan kasi mukhang ang ganda ganda ng place.

sabi ko kay hubby wag na mag UGR kasi ayon sa nababasa ko sa blogs overrated lang daw, wala ka naman
makikita kundi kweba at bats.. haha.. sabi ni hubby andun naman tayo eh puntahan na naten, so ayun gusto niya puntahan

July pa naman trip namin so bantay bantay muna ako thread dito.. mga May na ako kikilos. may ibang pencil booking
na din akong ginawa pero i am still yet to decide.

Depende rin siguro sa tao kung maaappreciate nila yung UGR. It's nice naman especially if you'll think about how the stalactites and stalagmites were formed, pero parang mas maganda yung mga napapanood ko sa nat geo. hehe.

Mas nag-enjoy din ako sa Ugong Rock at Honday Bay than UGR. sa UGR kasi upo-upo lang at tingala.

^shinta, rock climbing (paakyat) and rappeling/zipline (pababa) lang ba ang activities sa Ugong Rock? excited ako sa zipline, kaso takot ako sa rock climbing. hahaha! tsaka may kasama kaming senior citizens, may magagawa ba sila or place to chillax while the youngsters are doing activities?

mga sis, may nag-sidetrip ba sa inyo sa Ulugan Bay? pa-kwento naman. na-curious kasi ako. hindi kasi yun usual na tourist destination.

^ sis, mild rock climbing lang, pampapawis. may area naman dun kung san pwede mag-hintay yung mga seniors. sa pagbaba, pwede kang mag-zipline or bumalik the same way you went up. di ko rin kaya mag-zipline kaya trek kami pababa. may shortcut naman pabalik.

enjoy din kasi ang kukulit nung mga kasama namin.

any hotels or inn na may kitchenette na pwede mag luto sa puerto? will be staying max 10 days kasi, para hinde palagi kain sa labas.

Kaso pano yun sis pagkadating tour agad pano yung things namin? Haha tamad lang magbitbit. Yung sister ko lang may gusto ng UGR, ayoko din since takot ako sa bats masabi lang na mapuntahan.. Not sure pa sa tours since parang gusto ko lang mag relax sa beach. May must see ba sa city tour?

^sis, kung gusto mo mag-relax sa beach, mag-spend kayo ng 1-2 nights sa Daluyon, very peaceful. or sa Sheridan if you can spend more. both in Sabang area, very near UGR. so masa-satisfy na ang sister mo dahil makakapunta siya ng UGR, tapos ikaw naman nakapag-relax din sa beach. kasi wala namang beachfront resort sa Puerto Princesa city.

regarding yung question mo re UGR tour on Day 1. well, if you'll spend a night or two in Sabang as i suggested, then syempre dala niyo na gamit niyo. but if talagang sa city lang kayo mag-stay, you can ask the hotel if you can check in early since magto-tour din naman kayo agad. pag hindi pumayag sa early check-in, request if you can leave na lang your luggage with them (some hotels allow that) until after your tour. pero wala ba kayong hired vehicle for the UGR tour? as in DIY kayo kaya ayaw mong magbitbit?

^buong araw ang Honda Bay tour, usually 9am-4pm. don't cut it short.

yung UGR tour, depende where you'll spend the night. kung city accommodation kayo, then whole day ang UGR kasi 2.5hrs papunta, 2hrs UGR tour w/ lunch, 2.5hrs pabalik (w/ optional Ugong Rock stop-over). so medyo pagod na kayo sa travel pa lang. kami kasi 3D/2N sa Daluyon so chillax chillax lang sa beach tapos naka-spread out ang travel time. sa arrival day namin ay derecho na kami sa Daluyon.
