^^ Underbite sis, wala naman binunutan upper, actually upper lang muna pinalagay ko kasi may bubunutin pa na wisdom tooth sa lower. I'm not sure lang kung ano magiging changes once nagpalagay na din ako sa lower.

Mga sis may alam ba kayong gamot na pwedeng ilagay sa gilid nang lips na nagkasugat sugat. Nung monday kasi nilagyan nang bracket yung dulo kung ngipin kasi natanggal yung nilagay dati. Para maibuka nang maayos yung lips ko paglagay nung bracket sobrang hila yung ginawa nang assistant nang dentist ko sa lips ko gamit yung metal na tool nila ang sakit sakit namaga ngayung lips ko pakatapos pero nawala rin. Kaya lang ngayon sugat yung dulo nang lips ko and mahapdi sabi nila pabayaan lang kasi mawawala rin pero takot pa rin ako baka magka scar and mahapdi nga. May alam ba kayong cream or ointment na pwede kung ilagay para mas mabilis mag heal itong sugat?

mga sis i've got a problem right now. my first ortho install my braces last 2011. hindi ko nagustuhan yung relation namen as client-dentist, after a year it shows with no improvement, so i think i just paid like 85% of the total cost of my braces.

then i look for 2nd opinion well at first ok naman kami siguro dahil new client ako and she doesn't demand for deposit since hindi sya ang nag install i just pay her starts from 1.5k for adjustment and additional if may replacement. hindi ko ulit nagustuhan dahil after a year wala pa din akong patient's record so everytime mag visit ako sa kanya hindi nya alam history and paulit ulit nya ako tinatanong kung ilan taon na daw braces ko.

recently i went for 3rd ortho not for opinion but to remove my dental braces and he's looking for certification from my 1st ortho. yup ethics wise.

i don't like to see my 2 previous ortho. since in my 1st kulang pa ko ng 6k. sa 2nd naman talagang na frustrate ako.

mga sis any suggestions. tip or reference?  paparemove ko na muna braces ko napu frustrate lang kasi ako.

^hmm. Ask for certification na lang. Tyagain mo na yung last sa previous dentist mo kasi mahirap naman na ipilit ipatanggal braces mo. I dont know sa mga ibang sissies natin pero for me ha, secure a certification. May sinusunod talaga mga dentists and doctors na mga bagay bagay

gusto ko sana magpagawa ng certification sa recto na lang. papatanggal ko muna ipahinga ko mouth ko for a year siguro. magkano kaya aabutin pag pinatanggal ko braces ko?

baka sa recto may mga nagtatanggal din i think kahit dental technician kaya tangalin to eh. yung 3 molar bond lang siguro mahirap.

kapag ba nagpalinis ako monthly ng ngipin healthy ba? i think in that way isa isa bibigay mga brackets ko e.

ayoko tyagain yung 2nd ortho ko. mukhang ala kami pupuntahan.

^yung illegal certs ba yan? I dont know ha. It's not advisable. Baka kung ano mangyari sa ngipin mo kasi, pwede magcollapse or something. Ano ba ginawa sa ngipin mo? May binunot ba or something?

Hingi ka na lang dun sa first ortho mo. Seryoso, baka kasi kung ano mangyari, yung 3rd na pinuntahan mo mananagot. Sa recto, hmmmm. Wala akong idea about sa recto. This is just me, i dont want to take the risk para ipatanggal braces ko ng walang cert tapos di pa tapos. I dont know sa mga dentists, but  hope dr.smile (if i am correct) can read your case para maadvise-an ka nya

hindi naman siguro mag collapse yung teeth ko. hindi naman sa gums naka install yung braces ko eh. well thanks sa concern.

Return to your first dentist sis. Dapat [textspeak!] 2nd dentist mo humingi rin ng cert prior to touching your braces. Bawala kasi maggalaw ng braces ang dentists kung di nila case yun to start with

I agree!  Do not start a bad relationship with your dentist.  If you have something that you are not happy with, tell it to him or her politely.  I love my ortho, he was able to fix my teeth, sa clinic narin niya ko nagpateeth whitening.  Try to secure a certificate from your first dentist if I were you.

Hi, i think the best advice I can give is bumalik ka sa first dentist and try to talk to him that you want to have your braces removed na, and since hindi naman natapos ang treatment nya, bka pwede na i-waive ang balance.. A lot of Dentists are understanding and considerate, just try and explain na gusto mo na sya ipatanggal. Ethically, hindi din basta nagcocontinue ng treatment ang 2nd dentist especially in ortho if you dont have a clearance/endorsement from your previous dentist.. In my opinion,every Dentist has their own treatment plan so continouing the previous one without any background is not reliable, unless you start again -from the beginning, with a specific treatment plan/goal.

Also, Wag basta mag tiwala sa mga dental technicians, they are not trained nor licensed to handle patients..

Remember, the importance of our teeth, how it affects our health, its function and your appearance with it. Once you lose it, wala ng balikan. May gumagastos pa ng 150k per tooth for implants when they realize how important our teeth is..

Lingual braces is in fact around 105k 2 years ago.  No regrets because it made my teeth symetrical.

^ dapat pa rin balik sa doctor set expectations muna (if hindi pwede monthly, self-ligating braces then) or magsecure ka ng transfer form chuchu thing.. so many factors and options na pwede gawin kase..case to case basis.. complicated hehe

^ supposedly sis 3-4 years first time sinabi ni doc. That broke my heart ... kase she wants to do it slowly, gradually.. gumamit siya ng regular elastics, not the powerchain ones..but its ok, fix na yung price ko kase.. kinukulit ko siya to make it faster and to "sandpaper" my teeth more instead of the little ones she's been doing.. sabi niya pwede mamatay yung teeth if super fast kase yung movement.. and one sis here mentioned POWERCHAINS, at kinulit ko siya again. I cut it to 1 1/2 years.. hehe.. started last feb.. best to consult with dentist talaga..try mo 2nd opinion rin sis hehe

Better ask an ortho, siya lang makakapagsabi kung need mo ba or hindi. Imho, kung dimo naman kailangan at pangporma mo lang, wag nalang sayang lang pera mo. Mahirap din ang may braces, dimo makain ng maayos ang food. In my case, di na ako nakakakain ng favorite kong chicharon, hilaw na mangga at pagsasaid ng ulam sa pritong isda at chicken kase matigas feeling ko matatanggal ngipin ko pag kumakagat ako ng matigas.

dr nadela.  He is in the academe so I know that I was in good hands.  My braces are already taken out, and my teeth are symmetrical.  How did you know your brackets look cheap?
Who was your former ortho?
