I grind my teeth when sleeping and my dentist recommended braces to solve my problem. I don't know kung tama ba yun. Anyone have this problem too? And may recommendation ba kayo for a good dentist in Caloocan? Gusto ko kasi
agpalit ng dentist if ever I will have braces.

^ganyan ako dati sis nung di pa ako nakabraces. Sinasabi sakin pag gising hehe! Ngayon wala ng nagsasabi pero ask ko din mga kasama ko sa room pag umaalis, baka meron pa pala. Hehe

buti pa sa iba ang bilis talaga. sa akin three years na. sana last year na ito. nakikita ko naman na gumagalaw na yung baba. maayos na yung taas within a year e. yung baba lang ang tagal talaga mag align. habang tumatagal ako sa braces, may nakikita ako...kaya ayan, sabi niya ire-reposition yung brackets para doon sa concern ko. haha! sana talaga last na this year.

 It may or may not solve your problem.. Depends on how your bite is corrected or if your tmj symptoms are mild pa lang...

sum.mer, what you need is a mouth guard. Unless nga you have tmj. I have had braces and i still
grind at night. Runs in the family. So I got myself a mouth guard.

thanks dr.smile and vain_kixie. hassle for me yung teeth grinding ko. i always wake up na super headache. i'm hoping braces will solve it cos sa guard naman, my dentist said i will still grind  my teeth

If I were you Id go to another dentist to have a second opinion. I have braces on. This is my second one. Kasi ng lapse yung 1st treatment ko. I had fixed retainers. During the time na tapos na yung first braces ko I DID NOT STOP grinding. So i believe braces wont stop your grinding. But I am not a dentist. Mas maniniwala pa ako sa botox will stop grinding.

Yes i agree, get a second opinion. You also need to work on how to protect your teeth.. Ortho may or may nog fix it. Depende kc how bad your occlusion is. The most basic is a mouth guard. Nauubos kc ang outer layer ng tooth causing your teeth problems like sensitivity etc.. if the grinding doesnt stop..

I would suggest seeing a good dentist and would recommend Dr. Bonoan and their clinic is located at Medical Plaza Ortigas. Sharing this information for your second opinion. Hope it helps!

It's true na nakaka change ng shape ng face ang braces. Yung nose ko lalo naging pointed haha! So far I'm loving it.

Dr. Pamela Fabie from You & Your Teeth Dental Clinic in Timog Ave, QC. I chose her to take care of my teeth (for braces) because she was recommended by one of our sises here. Quality and work-wise, she's really good, but customer service (especially when it comes to setting appointments)? Nuh-uh. She's very disorganized.
