baka sis nagslim lang yung face.. or baka drastic yun na talagang may kinuha na ngipin or ano... I know a lot of people who lost weight due to braces dahil hirap sa kain? LOL (braces dont hurt i.m.o, POWERCHAINS DO) basta yung ginawa ng dentist ko po ay pinupush back yung overbite ko so my nose looks taller talaga LOL and I look less, "goofy"? ahaha. I have a super small face and a smaller chin kase so if overbite i look and feel goofy haha

^tama! naalala ko din, yang ang explanation nung doctor sa akin. kapag babawasan yung sa taas, pwedeng tumangos yung ilong. kaso ayaw niya magbunot kasi sayang ang ngipin. last resort na lang kung talagang hindi gagalaw. sa awa nang dyos, within six months, maayos na yung upper set.

yung sa baba naman, ang tagal gumalaw! tinanong ko kung bakit di na lang yun ang bawasan. ang sabi naman sa akin, baka tumulis yung baba ko kasi mapu-push paloob yung ngipin. may room for movement naman daw, tyagaan na lang namin na gumalaw kaso ang tagal na. three years na braces ko. sana nga umayos na nang tuluyan.

I'm a client of Dr. Pamela Fabie, an ortho of You and Your Teeth Clinic located in Timog (someone mentioned her in the previous thread so I decided to have my braces with her last year). Overall, she's a breath of fresh air as compared to our extremely incompetent family dentist whom I've suffered from stuck with for the past 20+ years. Anyway, my braces are due to be removed by July or August, so I'm really, really, really looking forward to it. I pray that my teeth would cooperate and there would be no setbacks since I've been wearing braces for more than half of my life and I'm so eager to finally be seen without it.

The only thing I'm unhappy with Dr. Pam is that she's not quite organized when it comes to setting appointments. After every monthly visit, I would always try to set an appointment with her for our next meeting so I could jot it down my planner, but she would always tell me that she'd just text me whenever (which is usually 3 days before the set date - highly inconvenient for me most of the time because I have to readjust my entire schedule).

Like this month, I was due to meet her last week, which is exactly a month after our last meeting, and I had been waiting for her SMS the entire week. 3 days prior to our supposed appointment, I sent her an SMS about the date and proposed time, but then I didn't receive any reply. She only responded after sending her 3 SMSes in a span of 2 days. And that's the only time she told me she would be unavailable cause she'll be out-of-town until the 16th. I was, like, what the heck? She didn't even have the courtesy to inform her patients (with whom she's scheduled to meet with) that significant piece of information (must have slipped her mind but that's exactly the purpose of a planner - and I believe all professionals should have one). That pretty long trip was obviously planned in advance, so she had a lot of time to notify us and possibly re-sched. How disappointing and how unprofessional. Well, it must have been my mom's shortcoming because she already paid in full when I strongly advised her not to.

Anyway, I'll be quick to turn a blind eye on her flaws, and forgive (and forget, if possible) IF and only if there would be absolutely NO setbacks when it comes to our target date of having my braces removed.

^^kung hindi man tutulis, mas magiging prominent siya. paulit-ulit ko lang nakukwento, naka limang consult yata ako bago magpa braces. naghanap kasi ako nang nage-explain ba at yung feel ko na makakausap at matatanungan. saan ka ba? sa q.c. ortho ko, sa may roosevelt.

Malapit na tanggalin yung braces ko. Dapat this summer kaso naging busy sa medschool kaya di ako regularly nakakapunta sa dentist para check nya always. I'm so happy!

Pero pansin ko lang, medyo defined na ngayon yung jaw ko. I dont know if it's because of braces or ng konting pag diet ko,  pero compared before, defined talaga especially pag nagsmile ako ng kita ngipin

fourever, ng iiba talaga ang jaw pag ng pa braces sis. Nag iiba kasi yung bite since they ortho fixed it.
My facial structure changed too. Minimal lang naman.

I guess I'll search nalang dito.. maghahanap ako kagaya ng mga ortho niyo who would be honest enough to say lahat ng changes ma pwde mangyari hehe.. thanks

Oo nga sis vainkixie! im happy with the result. Minsan gusto ko na lang ngumiti ng labas ngipin para halata yung improvement sa jaw ko dati talaga parang wala akong chin eh.. i was planning na magpalagay ng chin before pero buti na lang nag improve din chin ko..

After this forever tayong naka retainers no? At least sa case ko ata.. meron bang retainers na sa loob yung wire? Para wala ng wire na makikita after

^yep sis, sa salitran meron silang clinic. confirm ko muna if nag ki clinic pa sila don. yung dentist ko kasi sa san pedro pa pero yung husband nya may clinic sa salitran

may napansin akong changes sa nose ko, hindi na palapad. haha medyo tumangos na sya

^braces lang pala ang solusyon sa mga little "problems" natin sis yung insecurities ko sa jawline ta chin, ok na haha! Matagal pa sayo sis? Feel ko mas mag iimprove pa yan pag maayos na talaga yay for us!

^HAHA. nung september lang ako nagpakabit sana next year matanggal na magpapakasal na kasi ako eh.. tama sis! ako kasi problema ko yung sa babang part ng nose ko. medyo palapad sya, yung sa taas naman medyo ok naman kasi pag naka side view matangos nose ko pero now parang nag perfect shape sya...

1 week akong nagtiis sa singaw ko grabe, 5 sila sabay sabay! napabili talaga ko ng gamot na parang betadine itsura.. binili ko na kasi lagi naman ako sinisingaw eh
