kainspire yan! dapat talaga mas lakihan pa habang tumatagal. top ups nang top ups. medyo natigil ako sa top ups these past three months kasi natataasan ako sa NAVPs. pero in the long run ke mataas o mababa the sooner you get more money invested the better results.

pero syempre dont put all your eggs in one basket :-) and make sure stable ang company.

I am much a lurker on this thread pero because of what you posted here, I become more curious. Diba mostly ang initial investment is 5k, is it okay lang ba kahit hindi regular angpag-add ng investment?

i just asked for my SOA online since walang nadating sa kin na update sa snail mail. i was surprised to see na may investment made recently (May 21) worth 15k. wala naman kaming nilalagay ni hubby and it was placed on BALANCED fund. it was definitely not ours since we always opt for EQUITY fund.

anyway, malaki laki na din pala tinubo namin sa FAMI kahit 1 year na kaming walang nilalagay. :D will wait na lang na bumaba ulit (and magka extra) before we invest in FAMI and Sunlife MF again. :)

Does Philequity have other office/s aside sa Ortigas? Malayo po ako since I live in Binan, Laguna.

roughlady : oo naman sis. di naman lahat kasi ng tao kayang maginvest ng malaking malaki. kaya another option is to add to your investment kahit paunti-unti (o kung may bonus ka, may extra money).

you can send the docs via courier instead of going to their office.  just scan and email to them the docs before posting so they are aware that you'll be sending something to them.

after they confirmed receipt of your docs.  do a direct deposit to their bank account.  do the same procedure as above of scanning and posting.

done.

you can check their website for all the infos needed.

one member here advise me to contact broker of philequity and siya magdala ng documents ko. next week ko nga yun ipapasa sa kanya. ok namana kausap yung broker and no added fee for their service naman daw.

if this will work for you kelangan ko uli tawagan philequity bakit kasi sa akin sinabi nila na di pwede sa courier ipadala ang documents ko. :-( e di sana tagal ko na naopen yung account ko sa kanila.

^To answer your question, Philequity requires you to personally apply when you open an account with them.  It's part of the KYC or know-your-customer requirement of the BSP (I think).  This is the only time you will have to go there personally but subsequently, you can add to your investments by directly depositing to their settlement account and filling up their "Investment Application" form (found in their website) for the additional investments that you will put in.  Then, you can email to them the scanned application form and your deposit slip.  They will reply to your email with the confirmation of the investment you placed.  At the end of the month, they will send you a statement of your account thru email.

In my case, I really went on leave to attend their seminar on investing in a mutual fund, and opened an account after the seminar.  I should have  done it long ago but it feels good to really carry out my investment plans.  Time is of the essence when it comes to investments.

Btw, when you open an account with Philequity, as previously mentioned in older posts, Philequity doesn't accept cash.  They only accept check payments.

Hope this helps.

^When did they start implementing this? If it's true, then I'm glad I invested with Philequity when I did. I never had to go to their office to invest or top-up, not once.

tough!  didn't have to appear personally at FAMI's office to open an account... we just submitted the docs thru Metrobank...

i guess Metrobank stands as the 3rd party witness for FAMI in case of any probing from BSP

^Ako naman, I have an agent who applied FAMI for me.  The same agent is also the one who handled my application in Philam Equity

^If I may.  NAVPS is the price of the mutual fund per share.

For example, when I invested my 100,000 the price was Php500 per share.

In effect, I have Php100,000 / Php500 = 200 shares.

Then the following month, the price (NAVPS) went up to Php550 per share, then your paper gain becomes

20 shares x 550 = Php110,000 (paper gain)

On the other news,  about a week ako, PSFGI's NAVPS were Php601 per share, now its down to Php587.  I am planning to invest more if it continues to plunge.
