ako din, it's been a year since we broke up. as in bigla nalang siyang umalis at di nagpaalam. iyak mode din ako dati at galit na galit sa kanya
kahit 5 months lang kami, i believe i deserve an explanation right?
so i just moved on and di ko na siya naiisip :-) pero alam kong galit parin ako sa kaniya. ok lang ba yun?

my POV...hating your ex simply means that you still have that inner pain and bitterness. Hence, you still haven't forgiven yet. And with that bitterness in your heart, one can hardly move on :(

Of course not! I hate my exes with passion... but not because of bitter memories whatsoever. I'm just full of hatred. I detest a lot of people/things.

sorry to know that sis :(  but I believe that "hating with passion" is simply because one has been feeding that "bitterness" as a source of ignition to move on. we are actually getting our perspective of "moving on" from an unhealthy source. And it's not even healthy...that is emotionally. :( In fact, we're only making our lives more miserable.

Just imagine what a wonderful feeling and outlook in life would it be if we feel joy inside and towards our external environment :) Then we would find more reason to smile and be grateful for :)

^ Thanks, sis... and sorry... I was just kidding (I can be a bit trollish every now and then). I actually am incapable of feeling such strong emotions. I'm quite unemotional IRL. ;)

Sa tingin ko you haven't moved on if you still hate your ex. Sabi nga the opposite of love is not hate but indifference. Having move on means that you no longer have emotional attachment to your ex anymore, such that his past, present and future won't matter to you. You will know that you have moved on when you are no longer affected by any news about him and when you see him you only feel that he was somebody that you used to know.

hi mga sis, what can you say about my situation? I never hated him, kahit ang sakit ng ginawa nya sa akin. we're still friends until now ako ang nakipag break sa kanya after i found out that his having an affair. its been 3 years single pa rin ako and im still hurt pag naaalala ko na niluko nya ako but i dont hate him, it was just the deed that i cant forget.

Forgiveness is an essential part of moving on. Paano mo nasabing moved on ka na if you're still carrying a grudge/ill feelings toward the person? If you hate your ex, that's fine, kasi kelangan talaga maramdaman mo yung pain at galit e, pero after a while, just let it go. Forgive him for what he did, and forgive yourself too if necessary, kung nagpakatanga ka man or ano. It's not easy lalo na if nasaktan ka talaga and you know you don't deserve it, pero for me, nakakapagod kasi yung magharbor pa ng negative feelings e.

Past is past, forgive and move on.

ako din. every time I see him, bumabalik yung inis ko sa kanya. I really don't want to be friends with him anymore lalo na at ang dami niyang ginawa sa akin na masama.

Siya naman yung nag cut ng ties namin, so kahit anong pilit niya today na maging okay kami, hindi ko talaga siya kayang kausapin or ano. Bitter ba ako masyado? That was like 2 years ago pero never na kaming nag-usap. I remember be-friending him again after we parted ways and he was the one na ayaw. Kesyo nahihiya daw siya sa akin or ano. After nun, that was my ultimatum. Hindi ko na siya pinansin at pinapansin now. Mahirap lang kase ka-work ko siya.

IMHO, if you still hate your ex, then you haven't moved on yet. Hate is still love. Only it is dipped in a different poison. The fact that he can still get a rise from you emotionally means you still feel something for him. Hindi nga siguro love, pero meron. Pag wala ka na nararamdaman, if apathy becomes second nature to you na with regards to him, then that's how you know nakamove on ka na.

The true language of hate is indifference.

Anger on the other hand... well, I bet you can figure that out. :3

Hate is not the opposite of love, indifference is.

So as long as he affects you, your mood, you state of mind, whatever, yes you might have some feelings still (not necessarily love though).

Ako narealize ko na i have moved on completely when my ex and i started talking again and it felt nothing. NOTHING. No hate, no love, no remorse, no anything.

If you can be happy for your ex regardless of how bad that person has hurt you, or even if you parted ways without a heavy heart, then I guess you have moved on. If you're still harboring any type of negative emotion, then you still probably haven't.

I guess so, yes. HATING him with a vengeance just shows that youre still affected by him.

But if hes done something really nasty to your friends/career/family or whatevers important to you, say, he did something really major and unforgiveable.

I guess its okay to HATE him, and its gotta be really hard to forgive and forget. Parang ang naiwan nalang pure HATRED. Talagang walang love.

So i guess its possible to hate him and really JUST HATE him, no love.

But if hate mo siya for reasons such as he was a jerk, he was insensitive, he had hurt you, he was blah blah blah.. tapos matagal na kayong tapos or matagal nang nangyari mga yun.. thats a diff story. Sure sign yun na di pa nakamove on.

Kasi after a while, hatred dies down kasabay ng pagsinkin ng forgiveness and acceptance.
