^^ I funded my account last Wednesday. Kakareceive ko lang ng password today. I was actually already on the phone on hold to make a follow up then I saw their email. Holiday nung Thursday so mga 2-3 banking days nga.

I need to learn how to navigate thru the website pa. I am actually waiting for MF. Sana this March na.

^ If I may suggest Sis, start small

Say you want to start in 3 months. Do this until May. You can open na.

Repeat every month

Consistency and persistency of goal/purpose is more important than the amount. Your portfolio will grow over time  ;)

BUT before you even do all these, aralin mo na muna ang stock market investing.
You may even set aside some fund for quality seminars.

Ika nga ni Pesos and Sense, aral muna bago invest :)

^ Thanks sis! 5K lang ba ang initial investment ng COL? Kala ko 25K?  :-\

Naintriga tuloy ako sa Pesos and Sense. Ma-youtube nga! hehe.  ;D

hi marssie, what col is offering is a platform where you can buy mutual funds from different mutual fund companies. this makes getting a mutual fund easier because you don't have to submit your requirements again since they already have copies of your documents when you first applied for a col account and you can do it online, too. philequity is a mutual fund company so you will have to send in documents in order to purchase products from them.

Thank you for the response :) :)

Hi! May tanong po ako, we are applying for a COL acct but ang prob ko is the billing statement. We are required to submit one. We are OFWs and most of our bills are being paid online with online receipts. There are no addresses in those online billing forms or receipts. Now they told us that we  can submit a billing statement under an immediate family members name provided that we have the same address (phil address). My questions are:
1. Immediate family would be parents only? How about brothers/sisters? Nakikitira kase kami doon sa house in MIL and also hubbys married brother lives there. The electricity and water are under a tita's name ( i don't know why go figure, it's a very old house) so we can't use any bills from MIL. But most probably BIL has some.
2. Will these affect anything in our acct? As in just to check lang ba the address, kumbaga whoever we will use in the billing statement (parent or brother) will not be in anyway included in our COL acct?

^ sis, immediate family includes siblings. di naman ma-include sa account nyo kung sino man yung nakapangalan sa billing statement. i think ang primary purpose ng billing statement is to confirm that the address that you indicated in your application form as your home address really exist.

^^ Hello Sis,

I got this from https://www.colfinancial.com/ape/Final2/home/faqs_main.asp

Can Filipinos abroad open a COLFinancial account?

Yes. There are no restrictions on place of residence.

For non-appearance a billing statement would be needed

Example:

Utility Bill
Credit Card Bill
Bank Statement

I think you can send a billing statement na kahit wala sa Pinas. Meron sa applic form na Present Address. It may be different from the Permanent Address

Dapat match yung Present Address niyo with that in the Billing statement; match din yung name niyo

Billing statement is just needed to prove that you are a real person :)

Para sure, scan niyo po muna ang application form niyo with the billing statement and ID

then send to Email: helpdesk@colfinancial.com and ask if complete and correct na lahat sa form

please do this before you send via courier kasi para hindi sayang ang padala, only to be notified by COL na may mali or kulang.. ulit nanaman pagkaganun..

Hi mga sis, do you maintain / update an excel file para ma track ninyo how much yung nailalagay ninyo sa COL funds ninyo vs the gain / loss ng bawat stocks ninyo? Anyone care to share a template how do you record your COL account funds mga sis? TIA
