what if hindi ni fund agad yung COL account? ma teterminate ba yung account ko agad? I got my account # last week baka next week ko pa ma fund ng initial 5k.

I called COL. Sabi ay hindi naman mawawala yung account. Wag lang daw paabutin ng 1 year na sa pag funding 

Yung sa kapatid ko months ago pa yun, nag send ako ng docs for her account. Ayun hanggang ngayon ang kulit di pa rin nagfu fund ng account.

Kaya I called COL and asked what will happen to her account and the agent said na nandun pa rin yun

^ hi, what was the reason you invested in it in the first place? was it for long term investment or just to earn short-term gains? i read that plc may be distributing 80% of its earnings as dividends so you may want to wait for the dividend payout. to be honest, i'm not familiar with the company. don't just divest because your stocks are going on a downturn; if it's a great company with a great product and good management that has good prospects in the future, then downturns are usually temporary and the share prices will go up as the years go. stocks can go from as low as P10/share to P200/share in 10 years as long as the company has a viable business ^

^ may cpg ako sis sobra 3k na loss ko, nagpapaniwala kasi ako sa officemate ko haha, anyway sa 2017 daw to magboboom, if you believe na babawi naman si company keri lang yan. That officemate of mine nga pala sabe sakin wag ako maalarm kasi yung loss nya sa CPG is around 100k na daw, basta wag lang daw ibebenta ngayong loss pa, kalma lang daw.

^ when i started out, i chose 7 good companies that i wanted to invest in with good dividend policies with the goal of holding them for long-term. one of them is bpi, bpi went on a down trend in the last quarter of 2014 so what i did was that i bought more bpi stocks while the stock prices were low - this brought down my average cost and now my bpi is back in the green. i'm confident in buying more bpi stocks because i know bpi is a good company, is one of the leading banks in the country, and has a good dividend policy ^

^^ Okay na yung account ko just now. Magfund na lang ako para mafully activate na sya. Tumawag ako sa kanila yesterday to update my account. Nagemail daw sila sakin last Feb. 3 wala naman ako natanggap kahit sms/email(kahit sa spam) buti na lang tumawag ako kahapon atleast okay na ngayon.

Excited nako magstart bumili ng stock by Monday!

Mga sis, noob question.. Kelan po ako pwede mag benta ng stocks? Kasi December palang ako nag start.. Do i have to wait for a certain period muna or pwede na ako mag benta? Tia!

^ hi, it's all really up to you and your investment plan. if you think that you have achieved the returns you want/expect from a stock (market price less commissions & taxes vs cost) then you can sell them off. however, since you're new to investing and just started, i advice not to sell off your stocks right away unless what you really want to do to actively trade in the market. choose your stocks well, invest in them regularly, and think long term; the rewards are much higher for long-term investments compared to short-term ones :-) ^
