Mga sis, Is it required to attend the seminar before I can open an account with COL?
And how to submit the requirements without going to their office? Is it possible?

Interested investor(just wanna try)

^No, hindi required yung seminar before opening an account.

Just complete all the requirements, stuff them in an LBC/Air 21/JRS Express/Xend envelope, and send to COL's Ortigas office. Email them to follow-up. After maybe 2-3 days, someone should contact you that they have received your documents, and should send you your account login details soon. From there, may mga guides na on how to fund your account and start trading/investing.

Sis ikaela salamat!

How about the additional requirements?

Photocopy of one (1) valid government issued ID
Photo and signature must be clear
Billing Statement - Recent, no later than 3 months past

Are those really required? I mean yes, I have govt ID, but as to the Billing statement, I don't have it that has same address on my valid ID. Because its always address in the office? (Sorry sis.newbie lang)

^They ask for the billing statement so they know what your updated valid address is, and what you always use. Yun lang naman. Ako problem ko noon is wala akong billing statement in my name. I emailed COL, showed them a current billing statement that was in my husband's name, and sabi ko eto address ginagamit namin talaga. Tinanggap naman nila. Email them na rin muna, and indicate which address they should list down on your records.

Wait, yung ID mo ba is company-issued kaya yung address is the office address? If kailangan mo talaga ng government ID, madali lang naman kumuha ng postal ID. In one day lang and you pay about P400.

^Mabilis lang. They say on the site that it takes up to 3 days, but in my experience, I withdrew in the morning of a trading day, and the money was in my account by the late afternoon.

^Yes, bank account. Meron option to have the money you withdraw deposited to your bank account. That's what I always use. Meron check and personal pick-up options, but I have never tried those.
