^ I think you have options to have it an AND account (Transactions should be know/acknowledge/signed by both person listed) or and AND/OR account (either of the account holders can process transactions - deposit, withdrawals, etc).

one of my concerns is yung beneficiary just in case may mangyari sa account holder wala kasi akong mabasa sa signing form to enumerate a beneficiary so what will happen to your stocks kanino na mapupunta?

the simplest thing that you can do is to entrust to somebody (whether your parents, siblings, kids or husband) a copy of your username and password of your COL account.

it would also be simple, if your bank account is connected online to their bank account.  whatever happened, they can simply open your account online, sell your stocks, withdraw the account to your bank account, then transfer to their account.

else, you'll have to hire an lawyer and probably have a draft of your will

sis hanson15 in case the account holder dies, all the assets will be frozen including bank accounts until estate tax has been payed. After paying the estate tax, your heirs will divide your asset as stipulated by law. Same goes with our COL accounts, so dapat inform mo rin family mo about this para if unlikely happens they can claim your shares after paying taxes.

my application for an account got approved today they just emailed me my Account number and i funded it right away now waiting for my password yay!! excited to start investing any tips mga sis kung saan ako pwedeng magbasa or any book you can recommend to get me started? i'll buy stocks for the long term investment muna then if confident na ako sa knowledge ko maybe i'll start trading na din

COL just emailed me and said by May 21 pa i-email ang log-in details ko ganun ba talaga katagal? akala ko after i funded the account bibigay na agad ang password.

^Hala. Tagal naman. Nung nag-open ako, minutes lang after i funded my account my agent emailed me my log in details. That was last year. Maybe they have changed their rules or something? Better ask your agent for the reason na lang.

^sis i just read in pinoymoneytalk that it takes 1-3 days now to activate new accounts, guess i'll just wait baka makulitan na sa akin yung agent panay email ko. sayang excited pa naman ako mag-umpisa.

after sending the application thru lbc, how long should i wait before they will reply and give log-in details?

now with my husband's application, it took them more than a week to reply. and they replied because we emailed a follow-up. 2 years ago, i got a reply in less than a week. maybe they get a lot of applications now.
