All About Breastpumps

To those who use/used breastpumps, what brand can you recommend?  Are electric ones better than the manual ones? Currently, I have Medela Harmony manual breastpumps but since i plan to BF for a long time (expressed and direct), im considering buying an electric one.  Yun lang, yung mga medela and avent medyo pricey.  Any suggestions, thoughts or opinions, sisses?

Medela Pump in Style gamit ko. super ok mag suck ng milk kaso nga lang mabigat at maingay! mas maganda yung freestyle. less than 1lb lang ata yon so very portable.

unimom double electric and unimom allegro. i definitely recommend unimom!

I have the Medela freestyle and I highly recommend it for its portability and hands free function. It's easy to use and i get a reasonable output in about 5 mins. But I have not used other brands so I can't really compare but my friends and SIL told me this is the brand they prefer, pricey nga Lang. My SIL regret buying the avent pump when she was able to try Medela from the hospital (in the US).

I also chose this brand and model considering my work and lifestyle

i'm using spectra, best buy ito for me, tahimik at di ganon kabigat. Been using it for 3 moths now still doing good so far thanks to sis xadie

Ok naman medela harmony, sis.  Yun lang, kasi manual kaya nakakangalay. Di pa ko umabot ng 4oz e. kanina yung pinakamarami ko naexpress in one pump (one pair of breasts) at 2 oz kasi i just started pumping the other day.  Sabi kasi, 20 min per breast daw dapat every 3 hrs so yung 2 oz ko, 40 min na yun.

Shucks, 40 mins for 2oz? Nakakangalay nga siya. Ill be breastfeeding din soon so Im taking notes. Paano pag straight from the breast? How long do you nurse your baby para mabusog siya?

Kasi i just started, sis. Alam ko milk supply will increase as you go along. Dun sa breastfeeding thread, they said that frequency of feeding/pumping is impt to increase your supply.  Kanina nagpunta ko sa hosp to bf my baby (naiwan pa kasi sya sa hosp) and total of 1 hr sya naglatch sa kin.

Sino gumagamit ng Ameda Purely Yours Double Electric?

Parang ok kasi pwede battery operated, magagamit ko kahit walang electric plug sa pupuntahan ko like mall.

i also used the medela pump in style advanced in the backpack when i was pumping at work (1 year). it was good for me kasi (1) backpack so easy to lug around (2) can be electric or battery operated so easy to pump whenever, whevever (3) i can express a lot in a short period of time so i dont need to take super long breaks lagi.

now i dont pump regularly at work but i still keep my medela manual pump for times when i am away for longer than usual from my baby.

yung breasts ko parang mahapdi na parang mga kagat ng langgam. ewan ko kunh dahil sa horns ng Medela.

maganda ba yung Avent? may flower rubber ata yung horns nila kaya mas hindi nag ffriction sa breasts?
