Hi mommies! Any suggestions on what brand of electric pump to buy? I'm a stay at home mom and baby just turned 8 mons old, pero nag wowork ako sa bahay (homebased), napansin ko, umunti milk supply ko, (paputol putol yung pag-dede nya, minsan nakakatulog nalang nang hindi nasisimot yung milk sa breasts ko) so mukhang need ko talaga na bumili ng electric pump.

Ang problema, di ko alam kung anong brand ba bibilhin ko. I live in Mindanao, so di ko alam kung san may mga places dito gaya ng sinasabi nyo na pwede mag-try ng mga breast pumps

Currently I am using mimiflo manual breastpump and every 4 hours nakakapump ako up to 5 oz.

But I think mas makakarami ako kung electric ang gagamitin ko. Kase kinukulang pa rin sa 3 weeks baby ko.

im using spectra 350 ok performance.... i can now produce around 3 ounces kapag 3hours akong nagpump kapag 6 hours naman 5 oz.

hospital grade so highly reliable pero portability lang yung medyo problem. not an issue for me coz i can bring it along kapag pumupunta ko sa work, di naman ako nagcocomute. but i cant pump in the car or anywhere without outlet...

m1 has all this capabilities pero accdg to baby mama, it will breakdown for exclusive pumpers like me

Started using my manual Spectra pump yesterday (2 weeks pa lang si baby). First try, naka-1 oz. ako after 1 hour of pumping.  Second try, 1 oz. after 40 mins. pumping. Nakakangawit sya ha!

You pump for an entire hour? I read that the maximum is 20 min per breast. Nakakapagod talaga ang manual pump. For those working moms you really need to buy electric pump. Pag stay at home, okay na siguro manual since direct latch naman most of the time.

ganyan din ako dati sis....

i use kindercare manual breast pump nung 2 weeks pa lang si baby.... 1 hour 1 oz.... it just feels impossible to drain your breast....

dont stress it muna sis, use the pump after 1 and a half month na daw to avoid oversupply.... youll regret using it too soon if makaexperience ka ng pain sa breast due to clogged duct....

kung kaya direct latch mo muna to establish milk supply

Im using Spectra M1 now and my baby is 3 mos...maganda naman siya for me..nabagsak ko pa nga un once e pero working pa din. hehe. im not sure if nakakahelp talaga ang pump kasi yung mga kakilala kong mommies dito sa office, may isang nakakapag exclusive bf sa baby nia up to more than one yr using only the farlin manual pump..meron din yung isa naman bumili pa ng medela pero super onti lang ng output..so I guess it still depends on our genes and what we eat.. So feeling ko ang labanan nalang sa pumps is yung comfort and durability..natry ko din yung farlin manual pump..output is the same and mukhang ok din.. mas madami lang parts na huhugasan compared sa spectra ko..

Yup, an hour for both breasts. Pero ngayon, 30 mins na lang for 2 oz na. I guess nag-increase na yun milk ko since the first pump. I read naman na you don't have to put a time limit on your pumping but base it on the flow of milk (if mahina na then stop ka na).

chubbycheeks ang tyaga mo sis, ako kase wala rin time limit pero siguro almost 10 mins lang ako per breast. Aim ko lang maka 4 or 5 oz ako the stop na. (Every 3 to 4 hours)

Sa gabi natatawa ko kase pikit yung isang mata ko habang nagppump.  sa sobrang antok.

I got my Spectra 300 today from Babymama. Naka-3oz na pala ko from my manual pump and that's just for 30 mins. Lalo siguro mas efficient with the electric pump. Btw, how to dry yun air tubing? Pwede ba gamitin na may konting drops pa ng water sa loob?

you need not wash the tubings anymore sis unless milk gets into the tube... i bought yung pang sipsip ng sipon ni baby... but never used it on baby... thats what i use to blow off the air inside the tube

di na ko gagawang milk stash sis... basta ang aim ko lang is to excludively breastfeed my baby and spectra 350 really did its job... kaya nga akok nagtatanong sayo on manual pump coz ill be pumping na lang occasionally

^ sabi kasi wash before first use so hinugasan ko naman hehe. Try ko yan nasal aspirator to remove water or milk next time. Goal ko naman is to have my baby drink breast milk until 1-2 yo. Pag balik ko sa work, I will be expressing milk na lang and hopefully, masingit pa din yun latch kahit paminsan-minsan.

To compare, mas malakas yun suction ng manual kasi depende on the force you will use. Pero exercise talaga on your hand. Sobrang relaxed lang gamitin ng electric, you can do other stuff like read or watch tv.

I used the Spectra 300 twice na and half lang ang output compared sa manual pumping ko. Nakakadami ako with manual kasi mabilis and may force ang pumping. Kayo mga sis, how long do you pump and ano ang output?

does baby latches from you before you pump?

baka di mo lang narereach yung ibang let down mo.... lalakas yung flow than hihina then after awhile lalakas ulit yan... normally daw may 3 letdowns tayo....

^30 mins and 1.5oz lang. I usually pump when 3 hours from last feeding have gone by and tulog pa si baby. I don't wake him up na to feed unlike before. I haven't tried the maximum suction pa naman pero kasi with my manual pump, may 3oz na yun 20 mins.

I use Medela Swing Maxi (double electric pump). If I pump na kakadirect feed lang ni baby (within an hour), ang nakukuha ko at least 4oz for 12-15mins. If I wait 2-3hrs after feeding, nasa 4-7oz.. if 4hrs or more, minsan umaabot ng 10-12oz output ko..

8-10 oz every 10am..lo will latch at 6am..then 6-7oz on 2pm and 6pm..pagdating sa house, direct and unlilatch na si baby.. i'm using spectra M1

Hi mommies! I'm also using medela swing maxi. I usually pump around 9am, I get 9-10oz. Then by 5pm, I get 6-7oz and 10pm 5-6oz. Unlilatch din si baby pag morning. Last latch nya ay 10-11pm.

I like my Medela swing maxi kaya lang it takes me an hour before ko mareach ang outputs ko, super tagal and feeling ko di nya nasasaid ang milk ko. Sa spectra m1 or 300 or 350, mas mabilis kaya ako makakaoutput ng ganyan at mas makakaempty ng milk?

At what month did you reach that point na 10 oz na output mo?  I am having a hard time with the sleep deprivation and cleaning part.  At work, I only clean the accessories using running water and then hot water tapos air dry.  At home, I would reuse thrice siguro before I start using the next set I bought.  Ano ba daw dapat?

^ di ko din ma-pimpoint exactly when kasi since the start e medyo generous na din talaga output ko.. first ever pump session ko, I got 5oz from 1 breast and 4oz from the other one. 5weeks si baby nun..

As for the parts, I learned lang din (either dito sa GT or sa BFPinays FB, forgot where exactly) na pwede I-ref yung pump after each use during the day. So ganun na ginagawa ko. I just rinse it a but with water, then lagay sa container then ref. Once a day lang hugas ng pump. But, I change the bottles every use. Sakto I have 6 Medela bottles, then 2-3x ako magpump per day.. before kasi pinapahugasan ko talaga after each use, e hassle sa pagpatuyo.. buti nalaman ko na pwede pala I-ref lang then re-use..

I pump 12-15mins at a time lang. Max ko na yata yung 20mins in one session pag tipong medyo malakas pa ang lumalabas sa pagpump after 15mins. Masakit din pag matagal mag-pump e..
