BORACAY Wedding (Thread 2)

Hi imbishibol. They will be coming from Guangzhou. I guess flight going straight to Kalibo might fit? But youre right, it may be too tiring for them though.:/ I may have to consider this.A few will be coming from US and Canada but they will be in Manila weeks before the wedding, so I'm not worried sakanila. Are there early transfers to and fro caticlan/kalibo available in Boracay? Say if their flight going back to Manila will be 6 am and vice versa?

Hi chicgurl. Thank you for replying. On the day of your wedding sis, did you get Two separate rooms for you and your husband? If so, did they consider it as 2 nights na for the "3 nights" requirement?

IAmMariee - Thanks for the tips. sis, which hotel did you stay at station 2? I checked Villa Caemilla and Casa Pilar, look ok naman. I saw Cocoloco beach resort, anyone stayed there before?
I was thinking if we will be having rehearsal dinner pa. How much did you spent sis? And how much did you spent for the transfers ng guests? I saw White House din before and considering it as well. 

hi sis!  we stayed sa Boracay Mandarin - we stayed htere because of the proximity sa mga restaurants & shops, may mga kasama kasi kaming oldies    but it's really crowded there but ok naman they didn't mind the crowd.  For the rehearsal dinner, we spent about 15K - we had filipino menu.  For the transfers, I can't remember exactly but it is good 10K.

@ IamMariee--we decided to get the Menu same as yours ... We tweaked it a little a bit though ....

sis - that's great!  Masarap talaga ang food sa Asya!  You and your guests will enjoy it promise!

bale, the night before the wedding we had our own suites sa asya he slept sa suite nya i slept sa suite ko hehe so nagkita na lang kami nung wedding ceremony na..

Hello gorgeous boracay brides! I'm new here and it was great to find this site to talk to people having the experience and also brides to be sharing the same concerns as I have.

Will be getting married in Asya next April. So far Amanda has been book, Rebel Brides for the wedding concept and Asya. We are slowly deciding on the photo and video.

hello to all past Asya brides. do you have pictures of the aisle set up and table set up? can I see it kung okay lang wala pa kasing pinapakita yung Asya na mga past set up nila kaya di ko ma finalize kung mag upgrade ako ng flowers for table centerpiece at aisle. thank you

@MichelleZ sa November 18, 2015 kami at mga major supplier palang naasikaso ko. Yung accommodation na sort out na naming with some few guest. Mga taga manila nalang ang hindi pa.

Wedding program: Did you start at 4pm for wedding ceremony, 5pm for cocktails, 6:30 for dinner(reception)? My question kasi is yung after party, dun sa sample program ni Amanda the reception finish at 9:30, what did you do after the reception? Kasi diba 10pm lang yata pwede ang loud music at party sa Asya or not? Please advise?

Suites at Asya: We decided to get 2 suites for 3D (before and on wedding day). You mentioned na pwedeng ipagamit yung room sa iba, pwede kayang my mom will share a room with me before the wedding day as my fiancée will be on the other suite with his mates, then H2B will be back sa suite on 2nd night (wedding night) even though na kami yung nakasign as occupant dun sa 1st suite for 3D? TIA.

Hi sis!  I did my DIYs way ahead of time, kasi ako lang talaga mag-isa ang gumawa, hubby did help me in a few things    and lahat ng bridesmaids ko either nasa pinas or overseas din so wala talaga akong helping hand.  If you plan to DIY something, do it early para wala ka ng isipin few days before the wedding.  I shipped them all to Amanda's house in Manila then she had it shipped to Boracay.  You can ship it to her directly in Boracay din, I just chose to send it sa Manila kasi it was faster that way. Yung ibang shipper kasi they have schedules pag provincial yung destination.  Consider the season as well if you will ship it, like for me, the wedding was December so peak season sya sa mga padala for christmas, so I had to ship it as early as November.  After ng wedding, Amanda shipped them back to me

For my bouquet, it was from Vatel Manila

We had the same timeline sa program sis, we finished at 10pm.  Wala kaming after party but we stayed sa Adlaw Bar until everybody's gone.  You can go bar hopping naman sis with your friends, I wish we did it kaya lang wala ng energy and we've got something else planned the next day.  Yes, you can have the room shared with your Mom.  I was planning to do that too kasi separate din kami ng room ni hubby but ayaw nyo so ako lang lol

Good day boracay brides! I have a question regarding the beach wedding ceremony. For the entourage, is it also the same with the catholic one? We are finalizing the invitation but I am not really sure how it goes for a beach wedding. And since priests cannot officiate a beach wedding, what type of ceremony happens?
I hope to get advice from past boracay brides and also soon to be brides like me. Thank you!

^ kami sis beachfront, officiated by a pastor. the entourage is also the same as the church ceremony pero you have the option whether to omit roles that you think is unnecessary.

dear fellow boracay brides, can anyone recommend a good choir for the ceremony? i'm not happy with the usual church choir at holy rosary, it would be nice to get a children's choir (anyone heard of St John the Baptist children's choir from Kalibo?) but an adult choir is ok as long as they sound good. bawal sintunado hehe. my last resort is to use bukas palad cds, but live music makes such a huge difference.

Hi I bought my gown in London, when I moved to the US, I had to bring it with me for our church wedding next year.  My gown was encased in a cotton garment bag from the supplier, and neatly rolled into a plastic bag. I hand carried it from Heathrow to LAX.  A week ago, I checked it, there were no creases, it was clean, no discoloration. That's the same way it will be travelling to Manila next year.  But since you're traveling to Boracay. Make sure that its safely packed and sealed in a plastic bag. So that no seawater can get in.

^thanks sis for the tips. Im planning to have mine on its box came from my supplier. Then seal it using papertape of masking tape then cover by plastic bags the seal it again. I just wondering if airline will allowed me to hand carry the box instead of putting to check in baggage.

It might be better to check the dimensions of your box. If it can fit in the overhead bin, then its alright, othherwise it might be better to have it checked in.

^^ Mine was in a box too from the supplier but it was big for the overhead cabin. I checked it in but told Cebu Pacific it was a wedding gown. I didn't even think of sealing it properly. Nadumihan lang ang box I guess dun na sa conveyor belt but gown was perfect.

Hi Sisses,

After 3 months, ngayon lang ulit ako bumalik sa preparations.

Up until today, yung  major suppliers palang ang na-book ko. Pero I got Amanda's partial coordination naman since feeling ko kulang na yung time ko to prepare talaga. Wedding is in April 2016.

Ang dami kong concerns, hopefully makapagbigay kayo ng advice:

1) Accommodation: Kailangan ba kami ang sumagot ng accommodation ng lahat ng guests or okay lang na entourage lang?

2) How many days before the wedding ba ang ideal na nandun kami ni H2B to ensure maayos ang lahat? I am planning to fly 2 days before the wedding lang. Is this sufficient?

3) Since beach ceremony ang gagawin namin. What time yung actual start ng ceremony yung mai-recommend ninyo noting that it is April. Para iwas yung super sunlight?

^ hi sis, to answer your questions:
1.  Accomodation, no it is not your responsibility to shoulder everybody else's board and lodging.  Mine is also a destination wedding, but I am only shouldering my immediate family and closest entourage. For other guests and other family members, we indicated the closest hotels near our venue.

2. Days - This is really upto you.  Best to ask your coordinator about this.  If your coordinator is good, then everything is already ironed out a week before your wedding. But I suppose 2 days prior is alright.

3.  Have you already booked the venue? Because if you are having a dinner reception then I guess the best time would be about 5pm. Downside is that you may lose the natural light for post nup pictorials so maybe something a bit earlier would be recommended.

Thank you sa reply and suggestions.

We booked na for Seawind Resort. To be honest parang gusto ko lumipat sa Asya because of the privacy. Yun nga lang kasi may room requirements na magshoot up ng additional 60K (minimum) sa budget namin plus additional 50K pa since medyo mas pricey ang Seawind... so in total 110K na agad yun sa minimum calculations ha. I was thinking pwede na sya maipasok sa ibang expenses. Pero when it comes naman sa service and response time ng Seawind, superb din naman sila... so nakakalito talaga.

Sa accommodation naman, if makakahanap kami ng hindi ganun ka-mahal siguro we will cover kahit 1 night lang for them. Pero ididiscuss pa namin ni H2B.
