Hello! I'm on my early stage of planning my wedding. Can you give me an idea about the pros and cons of having a wedding on these locations in boracay: Asya, Discovery, Shang. I'm considering these 3 for my wedding but I want to get some reviews like how's the service, food, etc. Hope to hear from you! TIA!

Hi girls! I'm back, after a forced hiatus from wedding planning dahil na-stress ako for my civil wedding in Sydney. Now that that's out of the way, balik na sa Boracay wedding planning! Stress nanaman, huhu.

Re: flying to Caticlan or Kalibo: Sort of no choice kami, dahil may weight limits sa Caticlan. So kahit super hassle in my opinion coming from Kalibo, Kalibo airport kami. Or at least me and my husband plus guests coming from outside Philippines. I think we took Cebu Pacific when we went last October? Sa akin wala silang pagkakaiba lahat, puro masikip the plane, same lang din ang service, walang special standout.

princessweetah We hired Amanda to coordinate the wedding, so sadly wala akong personal recommendations for those. I let her sort all those out. I think the hotels offer the sailboats? Wooden signs...shucks, I remember seeing a supplier from there that Amanda's team uses din but can't remember the name. I'll get back to you pag naalala/nakita ko ulit!

cezycez We're not finished yet, pero I reckon we'd be pushing for 1M. This includes rings/dresses/etc though. If you mean just the Boracay wedding expenses, I think depende if you're hiring a coordinator or hindi. Php 500k should be ok, depending on amount of guests.

IAmMariee Congrats ulit, sis! I was going to get Teddy Manuel na sana dahil nastress ako with Sydney nuptials, pero when I saw your wedding naconvince akong wag maloka! Haha

tan.denise54 From what I've heard, those are all good venues. Ang cons lang (for me) was the prices. Hehe. Shang and Discovery had a high room requirement compared to Asya, and I wasn't paying for all those rooms! Asya is the most financially accessible, good food, good location (private, sa end of the White Beach), so that's why we went for it.

Hello future brides! How is your planning so far? I had my wedding in Shangrila Boracay on November 20, 2014 and I am so missing everything. To those who are getting married in Shangri-La, I may say they are so worth it. Their 5-star service is ridiculously amazing. Some of my suppliers were great, some were fine. Overall, the wedding went well and the day was so bright and sunny. We were so happy! If you have any question, please do not hesitate to ask, I am so happy to help specially the future brides. I know how stressful the planning could get, I've been there! Good luck ladies.

Hello Ladies, me and my partner are eyeing to get married in Boracay on 2017. I haven't booked anything yet but I've been doing my research and inquiries on potential suppliers. Does anyone from previous Asya brides has a photo of how their setup looks like if you don't add any additional flowers?

Sis @bheldandi i saw your post from October 2014 about previous Mayad P/V who went on their own and setup their companies. Would you mind if I ask for their list and contact details? I want Mayad but I'm also looking into other (cheaper) options.

Was searching for some boracay wedding tips and google brought me here! I plan to get married in Boracay early next year. No specific plans/details yet but I'm already looking for suppliers. Can anyone of you recommend a good events coordinator (of course, except for Amanda Tirol . Just for a partial coordination or OTD. Amanda is a bit expensive and since I have a year to plan, I'm just looking for a reliable coordinator to help me out with other things and during the actual day. I'm trying to look for a an event stylist as well.

Any feedback also on Bordoy Viterbo and Jasmin Labao (HMU)?

Hello Ladies!

Also a soon-to-be Boracay brides here. August 8, 2015 (08.08.08) to be specific. For now, wedding coordinator pa lang at hotel/venue pa lang ang nabooked namin. OMG wala pa ko sa kalahati. And based sa aming coordinator dapat daw maBook na namin yung ibang vendors like sa P/V, HMUA, florist, etc. To ensure and block daw yung availability nila on our wedding day. So ito, ngarag kakareview ng mga works and portfolio ng mga referred vendors nya.

Sis @n12345, try Ronald Soncio. Siya ang wedding coordinator namin. Also boracay based. Mabilis sumagot ng queries at maraming suggestions lalo na when it comes to budget.

Hindi pa ako nakakapagpost ng supplier’s feedback dahil di pa tapos ang aking detailed review (ang hirap din pala magwrite ng reviews) but for the meantime share nalang muna ako ng brief feedback then if any of you would have questions on any of them, feel free to ask... 

We were blessed with great and amazing pool of suppliers, all of them exceeded our expectations and my hubby was really very pleased.  My mother in law (a perfectionist) came from a huge family and have attended hundreds of weddings and she said ours was the best one she’d seen – so those words coming from her really means something and we owe it to our wonderful suppliers!!! 

Here’s our pool:

Ceremony, Preps & Reception:  Asya Premier – super ganda at private ng resort.  Rooms are spacious, mababait ang mga staff and super sarap ng food! 

Coordination:  Boracay Weddings by Amanda Tirol -  Booking them is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made!  I’m so glad I didn’t sacrifice this when we are trying to keep our cost down.  They are our life savers, our angels, it is true they will be your BFF’s during the day    Kahit na NSTD lang ang ni-book ko sa kanila, Amanda kept me in line since day 1 – she helped and prepared everything for us.  We would not have a beautiful wedding if not for them.

Photographer: J Lucas Reyes - super galing! We are ordinary looking but we never imagined we could be in such gorgeous photos!  He and his siblings are very talented, ang gaan nilang katrabaho!  1 week lang kami sa Pinas after the wedding and they made sure we will have the official photos before we leave!  Bryan – the Studio Manager met us at the hotel the night before our flight just to hand them so we are really very pleased with them!

Videographer: Cinemaworks – Hands down din kami sa kanila!  Magaan din sila katrabaho.. like JLR they made us really feel comfortable the whole time and I think it is very important kasi my hubby and I are camera shy, kami yung type of people na hindi ma-pose and doesn’t want to be in front of the camera, but these guys  captured the very natural feel of our wedding!  Can’t wait to see the full vid!

HMUA:  Fern Quimpo - I love Fern!  His magic worked on me and my entourage lol

Entourage Flowers:  Vatel Manila - our bouquets were gorgeous!  I wish I was able to preserve it 

Wedding Gown:  Pronovias - bought this on sale (40% off)!

Groom's Outfit:  Massimo Dutti + Hacket London

Entourage Gowns:  Paul Rex Mateo – he is from Cavite, flawless din ang deal namin, he is very good did a great job on the dresses especially with my 2 BMs, they were overseas and only sent their measurements but their dresses fit perfectly!

Monogram/Graphic Design:  Coy Ponce – he is a friend, he did our monogram, program fan layout, invitation layout, sailboat - he did such a great job on our wedding collaterals!  He is on freelance now, if any of you is interested with his works, just let me know 

Wedding Rings:  Boucheron Paris (hubby flew to their Dubai Branch to get our rings!)

Invitation Printing:  101 Folk Street Digital Studio – this is printing only, inexpensive and mabilis sila gumawa, mabilis din sila sumagot sa emails..

Cake Topper:  ThePinkOwlDesigns (via Etsy) – found her via pinterest, maganda and mabilis gumawa,  her lead time is 2 weeks but she shipped ours way sooner..

I also uploaded a couple of pictures on pinterest (mostly our wedding details), for those needing inspiration or who is wanting to see how the setup looked (please note wala kaming stylists!  Everything was done by Asya & Amanda's Team), you may check https://www.pinterest.com/iammariee/rm-121314-boracay-wedding/.

I have lots of DIY:  the personalized parasol, ribbon wands, the photobooth props, madlibs, lego sign, escort cards, table numbers, my brooch bouquet (yes I have 2, 1 brooch and 1 fresh!), bride & groom's wedding vows card, framed signs, tags, program fans, chair signs, etc.. If may question kayo how I did it, just ask lang din    If you need help din with the songs, I can share our playlist too

Ka-miss ang preps and I want to get married again lol basta girls, enjoy your preps kasi you will really miss it!  And invest on your P/V - kasi the day itself is so fast, and hindi nyo makikita lahat ng details on your wedding.. your P/V will capture those for you!

Sis - the iced tea/soda isn't included in the reception menu, they are on top pa.. separate charge sya but Asya ended up waiving it for us so we got it for free

@iammariee thanks sis! Wow pano na waive? actually naclarify na sya sakin ni Asya na bottomless iced tea/soda sa reception pero un additional charge is para pala sa cocktails. Kasi magkaiba daw yun.

Mga sis, sa mga kumuha kay Amanda as Wedding Coordinator, ano yun mga activities or services na hindi nya ipoprovide kapag partial lang ang kinuha mo? Pinili kasi namin is full services (hindi pa ko nag down and wala pa din contract) pero napapaisip ako ngayon if full ba or partial dapat kunin namin. Nanghihinayang din kasi ko sa 20k difference. Thanks in advance.

sis darkhorse - thanks    the food was superb!  Masarap sya promise!  Lahat ng guest namin nagsabi masarap ang pagkain   Meron din akong friend na hindi adventurous sa food, but he enjoyed the dinner like crazy so coming from someone who doesn't eat anything but pinoy food (and pizza!) means masarap talaga 

Bago na pala ng mga packages ng Asya, yung old package pa kasi nila ang na-book ko that time it was called the Buffet Menu II, I checked the new packages and it is equivalent to the Romantic Paradise

@danaQ - as far as I know, pag partial they will not handle yung RSVP ng mga guests, not sure about bookings but sa full coordination, they will book the flights and rooms for you and your guests din.  Full coordination is good if you haven't started anything, they will make suggestions sa suppliers if you haven't researched and they will book them for you.. but if you have already started and have booked the major ones, I think you can get away with partial 

About sa drinks, I don't know how it was waived, I mean I had no efforts whatsoever, basta one day Amanda told me Asya will waive it.. and now, looking at the new packages I saw that kasama na ang iced tea/soda sa reception so I'm just guessing na ginawa na lang din nila included for me..  so when I responded to your question if on-top pa or hindi, I said yes it's on top kasi old package pala ako (both cocktails + reception are on top that time), but included na pala sya now.. yung sa cocktails nlang ang on top

And any of you got Ronald Soncio for OTD? I finally made a decision na kunin na siya kasi yung on the day ni Amanda specified na she will not be there on the day mga tao niya lang.

Meant to be kayo sis, kasi ang alam ko may wedding sila from the 9th to 13th (kami yung 13!) so nasa island na sila for your wedding!   I'm so glad everything turned out very well for your day
