sis check out Azul Boracay or yung LSM Square. it's cheaper than La Carmela i think and decent enough naman para mapagstay-an for your suppliers.

@sunsetbeach: sis all our suppliers stayed sa whitehouse via Amanda Tirol; but you can also accommodate them somewhere decent. remember happy suppliers great outcome & depende din pala sa contract niyo. There are other suppliers state on the contract that they should be in the same hotel as the bride. may naencounter akong ganyan so make sure and read the contract talaga para clear.

Hi guys! I just got engaged this weekend! and i'm planning my boracay wedding in december.

Can you guys give me an estimate if I would have my wedding in Asya, Fridays or SeaWind?

Also I'm planning to get Amanda or Ronald. How useful and helpful will it be kaya? My fiance and I dont have any clues how wedding coordination works.

You guys think the total cost for the wedding will be around 500k or more?

^more than 500K definitely sis. and depende din kasi yan sa mga suppliers na kukunin mo. yung 500K mo ba for asya lang or overall? kasi asya 50 pax nasa 160K++ (menu 2) meaning wala pa service charge at tax sa rate; pero ang total halos nung samin was almost 300K for 50pax kasi may mga add on kami eh hehe. then excess of 50 pax was 1900++ no SC & tax pa so aabot din ng 2250 per pax na excess.. kids are half rate.

personally, Amanda was a big big help to us. even post wedding she still helps me. I requested our Marriage Certificate na authenticated ng NSO sa Kalibo kasi sa Manila at least 6 months bago maging available sa Kalibo mabilis lang and viola just received good news form her today na it's available na at macclaim niya na bukas.. how awesome is that! madami din kasi siyang connections.. that's why she is called Queen of Boracay yun lang sis mataas ang rate niya pero hassle free naman at stress free kasi malaking help.

^ ang mahal talaga magpakasal sa boracay. pero it's worth it naman lalo na kung dream mo talaga ang beach wedding. =) sa min half i think magagastos for that since hindi pa naman masyadong popular ang Sol Marina as wedding destination. hehe. pero within sight lang nila yung Shangrila kaya private area na din kahit papano. =)

^oo mahal talaga haha napasubo na nga kami pero ok lang very happy with the result.

so sol marina pala yung natatanaw kong resort when we were staying at Tree Top Villa ng Shangrila. it looks huge..and ok yan kasi private din yung beach walang tao gaano enjoy sis..

^ yes sis. may construction pa ngayon sa area pero keri lang kahit dun kami mag hotel. hindi din naman kami magstay dun kasi nasa station 1 and 2 mga guests namin. and ok yung naging deal namin with them, more or less 130k lang kami for the food and venue. para sa 30 pax lang yun.

sis question, kasi nasa likod na side na yun ng white beach di ba, mas malumot ba dun nung kinasal kayo kesa sa stations 1-3?

^ walang lumot sa side na yun. we stayed at shang for 4days walang lumot ang beach nila - both ha.. at wala din doon sa side ng sol marina kita naman kahit malayo kasi super green ang lumot.. sa main whitebeach talaga ang malumot abot hanggang asya pero di gaano sa station 3 sa 1 & 2 grabe talaga.. pero pag summer ganon talaga sa boracay diba? never nga ako nakaligo sa dagat eh haha natatakot kasi ako sa lumot lol

^ thanks sis.. just let go sa wedding day dont think of anything hehe ganoon yung ginawa ko tapos later on ko naisip na ay dapat yung ganito ganoon hahaha pero tapos na eh.. oh well hehe.. oo yun lang sana no rain para bongga.. mag rain dance ka hehe

congrats geegeebaby on your engagement. got married in seawind 2012 pa, cheapest buffet nila that time was php1000 per head. food lang ito ha. then wedding package was 125k for 50-100 pax so lalabas 2, 250 per person kung 100 pax. prices with VAT and SC na but im sure prices increased na. I think I was very tipid na with my wedding but I spent more than 500k pa din.

^ thanks sis. mukhang maganda yung feedback sa area ng Shangrila and Sol Marina. Punta Bunga beach nga ba tawag dun? anyway, nakausap ko yung events manager ng resort may tent naman daw pala silang ilalagay kahit walang ulan. pero open yung sides. keri na siguro yun wag lang maging totally bagyo hehe.

naginquire na din ako sa Seawind this year lang, late Feb ata yun. nasa 300k na halos sis yung package nila for 30 pax pa lang kaya hindi na kami nagpush. ok na kaya yung 80 kg back and forth para sa mga gamit namin kasama na gown? nag iisip pa ko whether to buy wine here or not, baka malaki maging corkage fee ng Sol Marina kung magdadala kami. *sigh*

@iAmMariee - medyo pause muna kasi magbday pa yung kiddo ko sa 31. so DIY muna for her party hehe. rush na lang lahat sa June so far hindi pa naman ngarag sa preps. tinitignan ko na lang mga videos nyo to get ideas for the wedding hehe.

habang papalapit yung event, the more blessings i get. recently a friend of mine from w@w (we never met yet) nag offer na pagawan ako ng wedding program fan. then yung AE from Sol Marina was so accommodating, nagkaron kami ng discounted rate sa accommodation. sana mapakiusapan na din namin sha na wala ng corkage yung cake at wine hahaha

chicgurl - that's cool!  I think a friend will do the hosting for us, na-curious lang ako how much kaya if nag-hire, although hindi naman kasi priority.. and wala na kaming budget lol!  You know, Asya quoted me 29K for the upgraded flowers with twigs    ouch talaga.. so eto I'm looking for some more inspirations, yung simple lang..

Ask ko pala sis if you don't mind - how much approximately did you spend with the booze?  Did you purchase outside and paid corkage na lang or dun na lang sa bar sa resort?

babythug28 - that's very nice!  nasa DIY list ko yang program fan eh, actually andami ko din DIY, pero wala pa kong nasisimulan   Kaya mo yan sis, nego mo lang, malaking bagay yung ma-waive ang corkage..  Goodluck sa preps for your princess!  I hope she'll have a blast!

^ thanks sis about sa hosting, try mo check yung mga potential guests mo. baka sakali meron 2 sa kanila yung ok lang naman maghost. you can make the script na lang din just in case walang professional emcee para babasahin na lang nila. ganun kasi gagawin namin. 2 guests (boy and girl) yung maghost for the wedding pero ako na mismo gagawa ng babasahin nila. =) kung pwede nga lang maghost ng sariling wedding why not hahaha!

hi everyone!  I have been reading this thread for a while and decided to finally register. Reading your comments are really helpful specially with the flight bookings! I was not considering the baggage allowance at all and far to focus on the fastest route to Boracay.

Just wanted to share that.

My future husband and I have also decided to get married in Boracay. Whilst it is still a year and half to go. We are looking at venues already so we can book them.

Just wanted to introduce myself and hope to learn more from everyone.

chicgurl - sis, how many days prior to the big day ka nag-flew in sa Boracay?  I was thinking I'll be there maybe 4-5 days before.. marami ka bang inasikaso prior?
