meron ba sa inyo na may props from Manila tapos dinala sa Boracay? i'm thinking whether we should ship the items or bring along with us sa plane.

^kami sis.. dinala namin lahat with us.. to make sure na safe.. like wedding signs, place card holder yung mga drinks list namin, mga quotes etc etc. kesa gumastos pa ako pang pa ship tsaka baka mamaya masira eh

^ nagseparate box ka pa for that sis? hindi ba mahirap since meron ka pang another box for the gown then maleta mo with your essentials na for the whole stay (non-wedding items)?

^ yung mga yun sis naka box na sila; ang nangyari kasi samin sis we have extra 30KG over all sa lahat ng tickets namin. we booked for the whole family kasi mga nasa 27 pax kami via kalibo kami lumipad lahat kami may 20KG each pax so yung iba kasi wala namang 20KG yung dala so yung wedding dress ko na nakabox 8KG na yun so naipasok pa dun sa extra na KGs namin + yung mga misc. boxes na props etc etc.. then meron pa kaming ibang friends na same flight at next flight na nag offer na sila magdadala sa allowance nila if ever excess baggage kami..  hindi naman mahirap sis. yung maleta ko palang sis nasa 20KG na eh dami kong dala haha matagal kasi kami sa boracay halos 2 weeks din.

Is it cheaper to fly to Kalibo then do a transfer, than straight to Caticlan? Sorry, super clueless talaga

^ his sis for us we took air asia zest via kalibo it's cheaper for us coz we paid for our families' airfare. even if we paid a little bit more for the transfer we still saved a lot compare if we flew via Caticlan coz the baggage allowance for Caticlan is only 10kg and we need to pay 200 PHP per excess kilo. lahat kami more min. 20kg ang luggage coz lahat kami galing overseas esp mga taga UK 30kg ang dala nila.. so took a bus c/o Southwest from Kalibo to Caticlan then a big boat from the Jetty port to the island then multicabs na.. hope this helps.. better if may coordinator ka malaking tulong sis.

@chicgurl - madami kami sis na darating ng 26 pero kami lang ng hubby and kids ko yung PALExpress. problem ko pa nga yung mag add ng baggage sa kanila ngayon kasi ayaw magwork ng website nila hehe. yung iba, sa Airasia na yung flight. try ko na lang siguro ask yung mga friends ko na sila na magdala ng mga bouquets nila pati ibang wedding props namin hehe. yung iba sa 27 na ang dating and then 28 yung wedding namin.

@gj1206 - sis mas ok kung Kalibo kasi mas less ang chance na madelay yung flight. Caticlan kasi mas maliit airport so mas onti yung madadala mong baggage and mas madalas magkaron ng flight cancellations dahil sa smaller plane.

lahat kami Kalibo ang flight. kapag piso fare nasa 1k++ lang per person roundtrip. if you don't have a coordinator, book with Southwest pagdating sa airport-hotel-airport transfers nyo para wala ka ng alalahanin. that's what we're going to do with our VIPs kasi hindi kami naghire ng coordinator sa Boracay. yung Events Manager lang sa Sol Marina and a friend of mine yung tutulong sa min on the day itself.

Kami naman we booked our family via PAL to Caticlan and we booked the tickets as early as nag-open yung travel dates namin sa website.  December wedding kami so January this year we booked na the tickets, pag ganun kaaga, mura pa talaga, I booked them for as low as 3300PHP including 10KG na baggage (200PHP) and insurance (350PHP).  Ang downside lang is, I wasn't able put them in one plane all at the same time kasi the seats for a specific rate in each flight is limited.  25 tickets in all, 3 different flights, ang pinakamahal na nabook ko is around 5500 kasi siniksik ko pa din sa flight na may kasama sila.

Anyway, 10KG nga lang sa PAL pag Caticlan, pag promo pa yung rate mo, 7KG carry on lang meron ka but you can prepay the baggage sa website for 200PHP for 10kg.  Pag regular rate naman, may 10KG ka na, then pwede ka pa ulit magprepay ng another 10KG.  It is better to prepay sa website kasi pag sa airport ka na, then it will be 200PHP per KG!

We booked din our P/V's via PAL/Caticlan, we paid 2800 each (one-way only) including the baggage they've requested.

Kakainis lang ngayon, kami ni fiance (and his family) ang hindi pa naka-book, kakaloka lang sa mahal ngayon ang Caticlan, nasa 12K na per pax so baka mag-Kalibo na din kami.

One thing that I learned pala at that time, PAL turned out to be the cheapest pa din (although it's a PAL Express flight)... kasi PAL doesn't charge booking fee, PAL Express does..

babythug28 - I do plan to ship our props separately, I was told by Amanda it was about 1K lang before, but baka mas mahal na now..

chicgurl I've been thinking if talagang ipipikit ko na lang ang mata ko and go go go with getting Amanda as a coordinator despite the price, kase I'm coming from the UK and the fiancé is coming from Australia, and the papers pa lang just to get the marriage license is giving us a headache! Considering doing a civil wedding first tuloy, para lang bawas stress (and end up getting partial coordination instead of the full!). Did you do a full coordination package ba for your wedding?

babythug28 all that info is so, so helpful sis, thank you! I kept thinking Caticlan na lang kase at the moment, so stressed ako that the thought of coordinating transfers is dagdag sakit ulo, but we haven't considered baggage allowances din.


When does this piso fare sale happen ba? Not a super Bora fan kase, but only considered that place because of the fiancé's relations/friends that hasn't been to the Philippines (para naman may makita silang maganda) plus less relatives na makakapunta (hehe)!

Sis gj1206 - have you checkout Boracay Resident Wedding & Events Coordinator? I don't know how much they charge (I assume they are cheaper than Amanda) but I read some really good reviews about them very recently

babythug28 kami din dinala namin lahat by plane ang mga paraphernalia. Cebu pacific naman kami and 10 kilograms lang din ang allowance.  Madami kami kamag-anak (more than 20) at lahat sinabihan ni mama na magbook ng 10kg bag. Since magaan naman ang damit, nagkasya na mga dala namin, may mga wine pa kami na dala.

gj1206 lagi naman may sale sa Cebu pacific, subscribe ka lang sa emails nila. But kami dati ang piso fare na nakuha namin binook namin 9 months before the wedding and weekday mostly flights. So a lot of my relations flew Wednesday pa lang. In 2012 one way with 10kg - Php550. But never nag-piso fare ang caticlan to Manila so my family flew home via Kalibo.

Madali lang naman ang transfers whether Caticlan or Kalibo. But Kalibo may 2 hour van ride pa so I told my foreigner guests to fly to Caticlan straight.  So some of them, from Dublin ito ha and stayed in the Philippines for 3 weeks, 10 kilos lang talaga ang bag.   Some of my foreigner guests nag-DIY pa from Caticlan to Boracay.  Others booked through southwesttours boracay.

sis iAmMariee - sige will try to check na din with LBC dito magkano isang box. para kasi hindi na hassle since we have kids. and yung gown + suit na lang iintindihin namin. ipapasuyo ko na lang siguro sa hotel events manager yung items. mag meet pa naman kami 2 days before the wedding.

sis yung Boracay Resident Wedding & Events, nasa 35k nung nagpaquote ako (OTD). iba pa yung bayad para sa pagprocess ng documents nyo. so mas mura compared kay Amanda. and very efficient naman sila. i saw their works sa colleague ko, they recently got married sa Asya Premier

tight budget lang din kasi talaga kaya hindi na kami kumuha ng OTD. pray na lang ako na maexecute ng maigi ng Sol Marina kung anuman needs namin sa wedding hehe


sis gj1206 - tapos na yung piso fare to Kalibo. nakapagpabook mom ko ng 1500 kasama na bagahe (20 kg). pero meron pang sale ngayon sis. nasa 2k roundtrip na sa kalibo, try mo baka sakali makakuha ka pa. sayang kasi ang cheaper airfare lalo na kung madami kang isasama.

Hello again sisses. I would just like to ask, for those who brought their suppliers from manila to boracay, do you have the same hotel as your suppliers? or nearby hotels will do? I am really having problems with my HMUA parang gusto niya same hotel kami. Is that really necessary?

Hello sis. sinong HMUA mo? gusto ko din ng HMUA from manila. if you can also give suggestions. sa tanong mp, not nescessarily pareho kayo ng hotel.decent hotel basta comfortable sila is good enough.
