^^malayo kasi yung zoo, palipat lipat ka ng bus tapos it will take an hour to 1 1/2 hours. cab 30 minutes lang siguro.

for toddlers, better Sentosa kasi yung rides ng USS pang older (roller coasters etc)

^around how much will the cab cost? my friend naman is sayingn a di complete ang Sg trip without USS since mag HK town naman daw kami... pero kami lang ni hubby plus  our daughter, if ever, isa isa ang sakay, parang kj lang haha!

^^ carla - amkor travel yung pina quote ko na agency na lowest pero 25k per person ang 4 days/3 nights with airfare and HK town with transfers and city tour.

for me hindi talaga maeenjoy ng toddler ang USS dahil kaunti lang ang rides for kids, so salitan nga kayo sa rides. Lol! When my cousin went there with her hubby and son, sa Sentosa lang din sila (underwater world) and Zoo, tapos Lego land

Sisses is it okay to do walk in for hotels? Di ko masundan thread even na nag back read ako. Any suggestions ng reputable travel agency. Wala na kasi ako time to diy. Thanks.

Sis I don't recommend hotel walk ins. Mas madali pa rin na may reservations ka na.

kaice, YES much better to take a cab, as what minnie99 mentioned, it'll take 1 1/2hr for you to get there from the city with all the transfer pa from train to bus. And you need to fold the pram inside the bus FYI. It'll save you a lot of time also if you take a cab.

I have a 26mos old toddler, and mas sulit ang Sentosa. We go to USS only if meron kami kasalitan magbantay or if we're with our relatives na hindi mahilig magrides You can check sentosa's website, there's Underwater world, Songs of the Sea and SEA Aquarium (this is new lang). Eto ang patok sa amin so far

^Sis, for chocolates, for me, mas wide ang selection nya.  Isang buong area dedicated sa chocolates doon.  But be wary din sa binibili mo.  Always look at the expiration date.  Kasi minsan, luma ang nabebenta nila. 

For me, they have the widest array of coffee, chocolate bars, chocolate drinks most especially TEA.  Lahat ata ng klase andun.  I love green tea, doon ako nakakakita ng green tea na wala sa ordinary stores sa SG.

I'm wondering if anyone here who went to Singapore in the past 2 weeks has experienced flight delays?

I'm traveling kasi May 6-8 (Mon to Wed naman), pero I have a flight to catch on Thurs morning. Of course, ang layo naman ng Wed night to Thurs morning, but my concern is I have to go home to QC to get my stuff. Staying in the airport is not an option either (means I'll have to bring 5 days worth of stuff to SG and my next destination in the Phils).

Business trip kasi na biglaan and I have to make sure na makakasama ako, otherwise iba yung ipapadala.

ang mga flight delays naman sis is bihira lang naman kahit ang mga budget airlines they are on time but of course sometimes things happen so I hope if you have back to back trips then dapat may ample time in between them para hindi kapos sa oras.

share ko rin pala na last time nung pumunta kameng zoo nagcommute lang kame...mga 10 adults kame with 2 kids and bumaba kame sa ang mio kio mrt station then paglabas naming meron mga scalpers sa labas. they sold us zoo tickets in their original price with van service pa. as in may van sila then pumunta kameng zoo then hinintay nila kame hanggang makapasok kase syempre takot ako kung legitimate yung tickets or not. legit naman sya, so nakatipid pa rin and more value pa hindi ko lang alam if may mga scalpers pa pero yes going to the zoo...advisable magtaxi if 1st timer ka na may bata na may pram para hindi hassle trip nyo. kaya nga "Vacation" diba

USS is really on my top to do list here in Sg pero syempre mahirap mag-enjoy kung dalawa lang kayo ni hubby with a kid that cannot do the rides. Parang picture taking lang kayo and kung salitan naman kayo magbantay then baka matagalan coz normally per ride can take 30 minutes++
Atleast sa Sentosa its a huge manmade beach with lots of attractions that your kid will enjoy.

^Thanks sis! Actually 8 pm dating ko ng May 8, then 8 am alis ko the next day. Haha 12 hours naman pero natatakot lang ako. Weekday flight naman so I guess minimal lang delay if ever.

Wow, sana makakita din kami ng ganun pag punta namin! Sis, do you know if the Zoo can accommodate big luggages? Alam ko kasi may locker pero di naman sinasabi sa website kung kasya big luggages haha.

May massuggest ba kayong bakeshops? Gusto namin mag celebrate ng birthday namin by having cake eh. Haha.

^Sis, bellanjelahtry OSK.  Its one of the best green tea.  In fairprice it sells SGD6 for box of 50.  Vacuum pack each teabags kaya laging fresh ang lasa.  Its made in Japan and so far richest tasting / close to original green tea for me.  I bought a box and always bring one home kasi wala nyan dito sa Manila.

Sis Minnie99, try chocolate origin! The best chocolate cake ever.  They are located at somerset 313 (Basement 3) along orchard road.  Ang mrt ng somerset 313 is Somerset MRT. 

IT IS THE BEST chocolate cake I have ever tasted.  Ganache sya and mousse plus the cake is the moistest (if there is such a word) that I have ever tried.  Every month, me and my friends in SG buy this then kinakain namin, as they don't sell per piece.  They sell by whole cake.   This shop only caters to selling chocolate cakes, yun lang ang product nila and their choco lava.  It is SGD29 for the normal cake but their best seller Dark chocolate cake sells for SGD36.  Di ka magsisi sa cake na yun.

Thanks sisses xtine and GirlCrush! I've checked their locations and taken note, depende siguro sa kung saan kami mapadpad during our "free"-est day. But I've checked the websites and oh my gosh. Hindi ako makapili. Tamang tama nga lang yung Chocolate Origin because I want a reason to drag my friends to 313 (because I want to check out H&M haha), and then your statement sounds so inviting.

I called up Sg Zoo and they have lockers but not that big na kasya yung luggage. Still best to check in sa hotel then puntang zoo.
Open pala ang zoo dito ha, parang malaking forest so bring sunblock and payong because kakapagod dito maglibot and malaki sya as in. Kame nga whole day para magtour eh... hehe but its so worth it. Ganda ng Zoo dito

Daming masarap na cakes dito sa sg. I don't eat chocolate and I don't have a sweet tooth kaya any brand for me is ok

Sis yung 313 somerset mall and H&M mall is 2 separate malls ha pero walking distance lang.
panalo yung forever 21 sa 313 Somerset because 5 or 6 stories yata yun. Sarap maligaw dun sa shopping and para sa akin kahit hindi sale eh mura hehe...dala lang ng maraming $$$$ or icredit card na lang lahat.
Yung H&M mall, panalo rin dito pero wala pa akong nabibili dun.

^Forever21 here is 4 floors only. Impossible to be 5-6 floors since 313@Somerset is not that high. 5th floor is Food Republic na Although I won't recommend shopping at F21 here because there's already a branch in Manila... Better to go to H&M instead

Regarding cakes here, baka manibago kayo ha since it's not as sweet as Manila's, but they do have a lot of unique flavours here and sakto lang ang sweetness :*

Sorry sis, ngayon ko lang to nabasa.  If I may say my input:

we will be in SG on May 7 -10, 2 adults and a 15 month old toddler

day 1: 10 am dating namin, then check in pa so what to do on the half day?
Since umaga naman kayo dadating, you can squeeze Ikea alexandra here.  There's no walkable MRT so better take the taxi.  IKEA Alexandra is the nearest in the City area.  Ikea closes at 11PM so take your dinner here.  In the afternoon, go to chinatown to buy pasalubong (temple street exit from Chinatown MRT)

day 2: hello kitty town  - what else can we do pagbalik
why not spend hello kitty town in the morning.  Then when you get bored Legoland kayo the whole afternoon till 7PM.  Although pang kids yung rides.  Baka di pa magenjoy sa mga rides ang 15 month old as well as maappreciate ang hello kitty land.

day 3: city tour (na di ko alam if pwede ko tanggalin na lang or mas convenient kasi may sasakyan) / sentosa sunset - mas ok ba bumili ng pass or lakad lakad na lang since di naman kami pwede sumakay sa mga attractions

Gardens by the bay is beside Marina bay sands, which is just walking distance to merlion and esplanade. 


day 4: 2:20 pm ang flight so i dont know kung shopping na lang sa morning


where can i squeeze the singapore zoo, IKEA, pasalubong, Esplanade, Marina bay sands, Merlion, etc.

edit to add: di ba talaga ok ang Fragrance Hotel - Selegie? yun kasi ang hotel sa tour package namin... pag di ok papapalitan ko ng YMCA kung ok pa...
I'd rather not book Fragrance hotel.  Look at chinatown hotels (Agoda.com, then indicate chinatown then click on MAP to see the prices of hotels within the area in a single glance[/b]
