^^ sis, we lived for almost two years sa Somerset Grand Cairnhill. Sa may likod ng The Heeren sa Orchard. It's a serviced apartment (so fully-furnished na, and me housekeeping service), we had a 2-br unit. Yung master's me own toilet and bathroom. then there's another common t&b outside. Ok naman din, ewan lang now. Me daily breakfast sa Residents' Lounge, same floor ng kiddie playroom, pool, etc. we liked the location kasi just a short walk to Somerset Station, and nasa may Orchard lang. I believe they have daily/weekly rates din. Before that, we tried sa The Regency House for about 1.5mos. Serviced apartment din ang Regency House, ok ang location sa Penang Rd (so malapit din sa Orchard) pero di namin feel yung place, parang me something/someone sa unit namin. Hehe..

Ok din yung Somerset serviced apartment sa may Clarke Quay (Somerset Liang Court), a friend lived there naman, tho mas maluwag yung unit namin sa Cairnhill. Di ganun ka-ok yung Somerset Orchard (sa may OG/Orchard Point), luma at masikip, IMO.

Nope sis.  I arrived here in SG just last week monday from PH.  Sobrang init sa pilipinas, grabe ako pawisan.  Pero ang weather dito sa SG kahit mainit bearable unlike sa Manila.  Maulan paminsan minsan kaya tama lang ang weather.  I am going back sa pinas this thursday.  Parang ayaw ko pa umuwi dahil sa init ng panahon sa atin.

im looking the weather right now from my office window and the weather for today is sunny! nina umambon ng kaunti so ngayon init na naman. actually sg weather is just like pinas pero masbearable ang init dito because maraming trees basta bring payong lang para protection sa ulan and your shades too

lululemon, yup. Meron ako number niya. PM kita He charges $20 plus 200 pesos per trip. I hope hindi pa siya nagtataas. Regardless anong oras ito at kahit saan.

Sis, mas mura ata kung magtataxi kayo.  4 pax ang maximum per taxi.  Pero sa case nyo, since may bata pwede na sya kalong (yung pinakamaliit).  From Changi airport to my place is around SGD 28 pag midnight (Changi to Bukit Merah - within the city lang).  So kung Ibis lang kayo which is mas malapit kesa sa place ko, lower than that taxi fare.  So, times two taxi around SGD50 lang.  SGD30 is Php1,000 na rin.  Pero kung di naman kayo nagtitipid at mas gusto nyo na magkakasama kayo, oks na rin yung hotel transfer na SGD85.

wala naman additional charges.  Pero sana pala magkasya ang mga gamit nyo sa taxis.  Baka malalaki ang mga maleta nyo at mararami.

^^ sis, you can get 2 big taxis (yung mala-minivan) para di kayo masikip..

But if i were you, ganyan kadami (9 adults and 4 kids) and ganyang oras ang arrival, i would choose the prearranged transpo na. For everyone na yung rate na SGD85, no? If so, good deal na yan for convenience, IMO..

Just got back from Singapore last Sunday and I miss that awesome country already!!! I can live there forever and ever!

Reviews:
1. Airlines: Cebu Pacific
- Que horror their terminal!! Walang aircon or super hina ata. Nagpapaypay mga tao then sa mga nadedelay na flight, shempre dami na tao, wala na seats 'yung iba, karamihan foreigners pa naman! Travellator not working. Flight was swabe naman. Delayed for a couple of minutes. Sikip lang sa plane. First time kasi magfly with them.

2. Hotel: YMCA Orchard
- Malinis, maganda, decent, tahimik. 5 stars for me! Though walang bellboy, okay lang. Hindi naman malaki 'yung place so okay lang magbitbit ng luggages. Very near pa Dhoby Gaut station (which has access to all 3 train lines!!!) so madali magpunta kahit saan. May bus stop pa infront going to Orchard area then walking distance naman if going to Marina Bay area. May vending machine din sa harap na drinks Cheaper than other centrally located hotels. Around SGD130 per room per night ata (superior). Medyo maliit lang room pero okay lang. Hindi naman nagstay dun most of the time. For sleeping lang. With buffet breakfast pa

3. Attractions:
Universal Studios - we went on a Friday. Gloomy ang weather pero humid. So pwede na kesa tirik ang araw. Umulan ng tanghali so sumakto kami sa Shrek 4D paglabas, patila na '[textspeak!] ulan. 5-10mins waiting time sa rides and shows. Without express pass. Natry namin almost lahat haha!

Sentosa (evening play pass) - Cable car, tiger tower, songs of the (hindi na namin napanood dahil late na kami!!!)

Merlion Park, Esplanade, Flyer- I suggest punta kayo sa riverside attractions befor sunset para hindi mainit. Nagpunta kami Saturday morning mga 10am sakit sa balat talaga. Huhu.

MBS Skypark - Went here mga 10pm, ganda ng skyline sa gabi!

River Cruise - Informative. From Clarke Quay to MBS then pabalik. Dun kayo magstay sa likod ng boat hehe.

Gardens by the Bay - Flower Dome + Cloud Forest, ganda!!! Lalo na if nature lover kayo Kakalula '[textspeak!] bridges sa Cloud Forest.

4. Tickets
Singapore Tourist Pass
- Unli bus and train rides (comes in 1,2,3 days). Depende sa inyo kung sa tingin niyo magagamit niyo talaga. Kasi commute talaga kami. DIY lahat ng tour namin

Travel Delight
- Learned about this here sa GT. Thanks mga sis! Ordere thru email, then pinickup namin sa Landmark Village Hotel in Bugis. Dun na din nagbayad

MAJOR TIP:
RESEARCH RESEARCH RESEARCH! Backread here, use gothere.sg or streetdirectory app sa apple devices. Plan your trip well Ako matagal ko talaga pinagaralan lahat, research, and all. Worth-it naman. First out of the country, with family pa, tapos nag DIY pa kami ha.

I will definitely go back there kahit ako lang mag-isa! Love at first sight na ata haha!

PS: May certain amoy ang SG noh? Or baka ako lang? Not mabaho naman. Parang amoy chinese na halo halo na amoy. Ganun kasi amoy ko the whole time I was there pati paguwi haha!

^Hahaha.   Yes.  There's a certain ambiance na parang chinese or international.  When I go to the shopping malls, naalala ko naman is amoy US malls.  Di ko rin maaninag pero ramdam mo nga yung parang kakaibang ambiance kesa pinas.  Glad you enjoyed this little country.

^I'm afraid so sis.  Lahat ng bata dito merong pang tap in and out.

If your children are Singapore Citizens or PRs, the birth certificates of your children are not required. But your NRIC has to be produced when you buy the cards.

If your children are not Singapore Citizens or PRs, you need to take your children's passports (or photocopies) with you when you buy the cards.

The Child EZ-Link Card may be used until:

a. 30 April of the year in which the child turns 7 years old, or
b. the child enters primary school.

^^There's a certain height requirement for the child with regards to paying the bus/MRT fares. Can't remember if it's 110CM but there's a signage at MRT stations where you can also check your kids' height if they need to pay for the fare already

ok na yang one way transfer from ibis hotel na $85 coz normally a van is $50 to $60 tapos if manggagaling pa sa airport may additional charge pa especially if midnight onwards so sis ok na yan and sure ko dami ninyong maleta because you have kids.
pansin ko pala sis na 9 adults and 4 kids kayo. one taxi can only allow 4 adult passengers and kahit ikalong nyo pa yung isang bata im pretty sure na hindi kayo papayagan because bawal ito and for road and passenger safety na rin. I suggest for long trips you may hire a van. kadalasan $60 lang ito and lahat kayo kasya. Because big group kayo mga tatlong taxi pa kayo and baka masmataas ang cab fare kesa isang van na kayo.

turista kayo sa sg diba? 90cm and below free ang mga bata irregardless sa age. pero date kasama naming yung pamangkin ko na more than 90cm libre lang kame because kinakalong palagi so hindi na nagbayad... hehe pero mga 4 years ago pa yata ito

yes may certain "amoy" dito sa sg na immune na me   because there are a lot of "ang mos" (Caucasians), Indians, malays, pinoys etc. sabi nga nila halo halo na yung mga curry and sampaguita amoy dito hehe
