^Hmm nagbago na sila ng policy?  The last time I was there (november 2012), they allow 4 guests per room.  Kelangan lang iregister para kabitan ng wristband as entrance sa infinity pool.

^awww... Sayang! Mukang nagbago na nga sila ng policy. Kami naman nung wedding ko last December 2 kami binigyan ng wrist band kahit 1 key card lang nadala namin. Baka nagbago na nga sila ng policy. Pero baka naman pwede 1 keycard = 1 adult plus 1 child? Hindi sila mahigpit when it comes to sneak in

mga sis, nakita ko yung map ng SG. based on my observation hehe, parang mas malapit at mas okay
mag hotel sa area ng chinatown or little india kesa sa geylang? para mas malapit sa Clarke, orchard, marina bay etc?
 tama ba? feeling ko rin mas safe sa chinatown kesa sa geylang. hehe

^Location wise, its better chinatown.  Chinatown is within the city which means going to places (Marina bay sands, bugis, espalande, orchard, etc)is nearer either by bus or taxi and few stations away from each other.  For instance, chinatown is one station away from clarke quay, actually walkable if one likes to walk.

thanks sis for your reply. im looking for a hotel kasi lagi sa geylang pero parang di ko kaya dun because of
its reputation. are you in sg? any budget hotel in chinatown you can recommend? sa fragrance hotel 6k for 3 nights na e
so medyo ganun lang ang budget ko and hubby.

^i'm based in SG sis pero i know nothing of best budget hotel within chinatown.  You may go to agoda.com then indiacte singapore then select chinatown.  Select one hotel and use the map functionality.  Ipapakita sayo lahat ng hotels nearby pati magkano in a single glance.

^^The cheap ones in Chinatown are mostly hostels. Geylang is outside the city already that's why it's much better to stay in Chinatown area. Are you traveling with kids? If you're traveling with kids, you can't stay at hostels. There's a hotel at Somerset area just behind Orchard road called Lloyd's inn, room is $90 per night only, good for 2 pax My friend who frequents Singapore due to his medical checkups normally stays here due to location and price. Their website is down tho so you might need to give them a call instead.

update regarding LLyod's inn:

i emailed them last February to inquire on their rates but unfortunately, they will undergo
a renovation and will reopen next year pa and according to the owner, there will be a change
in their rates due to the renovation.

Kami sa 5 Stones Hostel nag-down na, but I'm looking for a hotel kasi medyo packed yung day namin and gusto ko may sariling bathroom.

Sa Fragrance ba pwede up to 3 people sa room? Sneak-in ba yun o may additional? Di kasi nakalagay dito sa booking form.  Kung Fragrance kasi parang mas sulit, di bale na na nagdown kami ng 10% sa hostel...

EDIT:

Nag backread ako and nabasa ko na sa Mustafa okay ang USD-SGD rates. si sis xtine yata ang nagsabi na per person nagpapapalit na lang ng 100 USD pagdating sa airport para sa first day, then sa Mustafa na the rest.

Other than Mustafa saan pa okay? Medyo malayo kasi and I don't think we'll be going there... Lucky Plaza is one pero I don't really think we will be going to Orchard either dahil Electronics lang naman bibilhin ng mga kasama ko (Funan) and wala silang hilig sa high end brands or even shopping in general. Or should we give it a try? Actually pang-ilang beses ko na sa SG, sila first time.

We will be staying at Five Stones sa South Bridge road. Meron kaya sa Chinatown okay na palitan?

minnie99, there's a money changer at Chinatown MRT. It's just near the footbridge area from People's Park Complex. You won't miss it because of the queue

hi mga sis,
staying here in sg for 8 years na but I need all your help.
have you experience having a 2 bedroom suite with kitchen sa sg? may recommended ba kayo? sa friend namin ito for next month.


worth it pala puntahan dito sa sg are:
Universal Studios Singapore (USS)
Sentosa
Singapore Zoo or Jurong Bird Park
Marina Bay Sands (MBS), recommended is to walk from Raffles Place MRT, take a photo sa Merlion, liko ng kaunti sa Esplanade then eat sa Makan Sutra or walk straight lang take pictures and after 20 minutes you will see MBS na.
Bugis Junction & Chinatown for shopping. Nice office clothes din sa may City Plaza (near Paya Lebar MRT) coz they have retail and wholesale, puede tumawad. Parang malaking 168 mall without the incense smell
Clarke Quay for the night life and Gmax reverse bungee jumping (its like you are inside a yoyo)
