^sis prettygretchen,  i believe sa ibang bansa depende sa law kung magkano in their denomination ang kelangan dalhin at hanggang san ang pwede lang ideclare.  I saw here na 30,000 or its foreigb currency equivalent and above ang kelangan ideclare sa customs.  S$30,000 is more or less around PHP1,005,00.  Inaavoid nila na malaki ang ipapasok dahil sa money laundering law. 

So you can i guess bring kahit less than PHP1M ng hindi

Sis pretty gretchen, sorry, na misread ko. Based sa phil embassy in SG,  at kahit sa AU,  bawal maglabas ng more than PHP10,000 palabas ng pinas.  Siguro para ang pera sa sirkulasyon sa pinas hindi mabawasan.  Pero pwede mag out ng USD but not more than USD10,000.  So tama ang ibang sisses natin na dapat ipapalit mo na to USD or SGD.  sabagay, lugi ang PHP dito.  Mas mataas ang equivalent pag USD.  Kahit sa MY, talo pag PHP mo pinapalit. 

I also think, this php10k applies per person travelling.

Hi mga sisses, suggest naman kayo ng ok but affordable na hotel. Travel period maybe december 10 4d/3n. I'm looking at agoda and i have found seveal hotels. Any feedback regarding these two hotels are highly appreciated: fragrance hotel in clark quay and hotel 81 orchid in geylang.

Ok lang sana if kami lang ni hubby. But we are bringing our 1 year old daughter and my mom with us so need ko ng ok location. During our honeymoon last 2011 hubby and i stayed at the marina bay sands. Of course with 2 additional heads with us, di na namin afford yun so baka may ma-recommend kayo na ok na hotel.

sis toscka ..sis I suggest South East Asia Hotel (more on a pension house) importante meron malinis, maayos at safe na lugar, located at Bugis, so malapit lang sa lahat, most of the time den naman nasa labas tayo..pero kung carry boom-boom naman ang mahal na accomdation nabasa ko ok daw sa YMCA Orchard... i dont think ok ang area ng geylang kasi red light district siya, lalo na may kasamang bata...

kakapunta lang namen nung january 18-22... maganda siya at malinis. lahat napuntahan namen kakapagod... kasi ba naman day 1 - singapore flyer then duck tour. tapos uwi ng hotel para mag ready sa night safari sinundo kame nakabalik sa hotel ng 10:30pm. 2nd day - jurong bird park ng 9am till 12nn. tapos dumerecho sa mt. faber para sa cable car. tapos sa sentosa pinuntahan namen e yung 4d, images of singapore, tapos underwater world , dolphin lagoon - mas maganda yung show satin! . tapos pumunta kame ng beach habang nag hihintay ng song of the sea na start ng 8pm ata? ayun nka uwi din kame ng 9:30 pm. 3rd day universal studio 10am until 7pm. umuwi kame sa hotel ng 8pm tapos nag pahinga lang tpos pumunta kame sa chinatown sa smith street to be exact para sa food trip masarap siya for tourist tlaga. hindi naman kamahalan. at doon na rin bumili ng pasalubong hindi na kame pumunta sa mustafa kasi mura din sa chinatown e. nakauwi kame ng 1 am. hehe kinabukasan hindi na kame umalis sa hotel kasi pagod na pagod na kame. check out ng 12 nn tpos nag lung sa the big bird restaurant masarap dun mga sisses mura din siya. tapos nag mrt nalang kame papuntang airport para ma experience daw namen tutal small luggage na hinihila lang dala namen. madali lang ang transportation. enjoy pero butas ang bulsa hahaha.

Feb3 na kasi yun alis namin hindi pa ko nakakapag papalit, sa banko central dapat papalit dad ko eh hindi pinapasok ng guard mga lokong yun. Haha so ngayon scout ako ng palitan na OK.

Sis toscka, yun mga fragrance hotel & hotel 81 ay parang motel so yun mga nag hahanap ng aliw e dun nila pinapalipas yun. Nun nag book ako ang OK at pasok sa budget namin ay ang V HOTEL at YMCA. Ang V HOTEL, max of 3 pax the room looks posh and newly built lang yun. My friends in sg suggest this place din. YMCA has a family room where 4 pax can fit or maybe 5 if with kid. In my case I booked Suite room with 1 extra bed mabilis ang ymca mag reply as in wala pan 30 mins sumasagot na ng email. May nag refer lang din ng ymca sakin na sis from here tapos nga pala may promo rate sila ngayon check ymca international house.

I know this is no longer highly recommended by other sisses pero when I stayed at SEAhotel in bugis, we were 4 in a group.  In your case, you can have the triple room (you, hubby, baby) another bed for mother.  I dunno if there are other better hotels aside from Sea hotel (Southeast asia hotel)

Sis Prettygretchen, I have always have a soft spot for Andersen Ice cream in Plaza singapura.  I love their parang pinipig crunch, pero the chocolate is made from real belgian chocolates.  nsa S$5 ata per piece pero for the quality of the ice cream pwede na rin.

Their citywide branches are in Plaza Singapura (Dhoby Ghaut MRT), Funan digitamall (Cityhall MRT), Marina Square (Esplanade MRT), Suntec Mall (Promenade MRT).

toscka, mag YMCA nalang kayo. location palang panalo na kayo. walking distance to MRT (less than 5min walk lang) and you have an access to red lane, circle lane and purple lane so if youre coming from sentosa or chinatown madali lang since purple lane ang sasakyan mo for this you can just go back to the hotel if baby needs to take a nap or if you mom needs to rest for a bit and the rooms are very clean.

Wow thank you mga sisses,buti na lang talaga i asked for your opinion kung hindi baka red district ang first out of the country hotel stay ni baby. Hahaha.. Based on your suggestions malamang mag ymca na lang kami. Hayy if budget permits talagai would have booked nicer hotels pero upon thinking kasi sayang since we will be out most of the time. Ganito yung nangyari during our stay sa mbs. Gabi langkami nandun so parang hindi nasulit yung binayad namin. I was just thinking na honeymoon naman so keri na pero if not,kakapanghinayang..

Going ba k to ymca,bakit ganun mga sisses, sa agoda ako tumitingin no rooms available on my chosen date na. Hala. Saan website kayo nagbo-book?

don't worry you won't get disappointed with YMCA. value for money cya IMO specially for groups of 3 -5. sa lobby meron pa sila yung feet massager, you just need to put $1sgd to make it work

Has anyone tried staying at the Festive Hotel or Movenpick Heritage Hotel in Sentosa?

Just got back from KL-SG. Stayed at Oasia Hotel in Novena. Quite far from hustle and bustle of Orchard rd, but 2 stops lang sa MRT so keri na rin. Super LOVE the hotel. Maganda lahat ng amenties and super modern ng room & the hotel mismo. I highly recommend it. <3

Malas lang on our last day because we got scammed at Sim Lim! Bought 2 iPad minis & an iPhone 5. Yung nangyari samin eh yung Warranty Related Scams (read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sim_Lim_Square#Scam_tactics) $1000 nawala samin, wala pa kaming nakuhang kahit ano sa binili namin. Nakakainis na yung mga tao pa sa 1st world country yung nanloloko sa mga taong galing 3rd world. Ugh. Nasira trip namin dahil dun.

^Aww.  Sis runbarbierun, you should have asked us here.  Kasi I have friends who got duped in

1.  Sim Lim - a friend bought iPhone tapos may sira pala sa loob (bukas na)
2.  Far East - a friend bought an iphone only to find out, the serial in the box does not correspond to serial number of actual iPhone.
3.  Lucky Plaza - a friend bought a "singtel locked" iPhone and had to shell out S$600 to have it unlocked in the same reseller.  Only to find out na wala naman such thing as "unlocked" phones here in SG.

Funan and yung meron talagang Apple reseller logo ang pagkakatiwalaan.  We never buy doon sa mga stalls na hindi registered sa list of apple resellers na nakaindicate sa Apple store / sg.

We only come for repairs and fake accessories (chargers, earphones, pins, etc) on those stalls.

to our other sisses na nagbabalak bumili ng electronics dito sa SG, never ever buy from Sim Lim Square and Lucky Plaza.  lalo  na kung wala kayong kasamang taga-rito. ang gagaling nilang manggantso doon. kahit pa sabihin nyong sanay kayo sa Raon or Divi or GH sa pinas, iba sila dito. grabe!
sa Funan or other big electronics stores (Challenger, Courts, Best Denki, Harvey Norman, Gain City) na lang kayo bumili. im sure din merong silang GST refund.  for Apple products naman, aside from the stores na nabanggit ko na, madami din silang authorized resellers - nuBox, iStudio, Newstead.

unfortunately kahit saang bansa, kahit na 1st world pa, marami pa ding mandurugas... it's the consumer's job na din to do their research and trust their instincts.  kung may feeling na kayong something's not right, walk away. pag-usapan nyo muna ng mga kasama nyo. pag kasi nandon na kayo sa shop, idi-distract talaga nila kayo para di kayo makapag-usap. pag gusto nyo talaga, tsaka nyo na lang balikan...

Hindi naman talaga kami bibili sa Sim Lim dapat.. Sasamahan lang namin yung pinsan ko na bibili ng Galaxy Tab, eh mura daw. So ayun, napasubo. Sayaaang. Ang original plan namin eh mag 313 Somerset at mag Xiao Long Bao lang dun. Hay. Nako talaga charge it to experience nalang ang peg namin ngayon.
