If i may, this has helped my baby sleep well at night. Mag establish ka ng bedtime routine. At exactly the same time during the night we do bath, massage, read book then bed. Ikaw bahala on what you wanna do but it has to be relaxing and will act as a sign kay baby na matutulog na siya ng mahaba. Babies thrive well on routines. Pag colic si baby, better ask your pedia for some colic meds like colic calm. I also never allowed my baby to nap for more than 2 hours at a time, this will also help them distinguish between night and day.

Read about Wonder Weeks as well. May times na extra clingy and fussy ang baby because they are going through a developmental milestone.

^^ganyan din baby ko sis during her first months. i think growth spurt ng babies yun. minsan nga inaabot kami ng 8am. pero nung going to 3rd month na sya naging ok na yun sleeping time nya. di na rin sya iyakin unless may nararamdaman sya. and now she's 5 months, parang nakakamiss yun mga ganun time kasi super bilis na nya lumaki. ang likot na din nya sa kama. at tama ka kahit anong puyat at pagod nakakawala makita at mayakap lang natin ang baby natin. kaya enjoy mo lang yan sis, di mo mamamalayan mag 1 year na sya..

^^^Sis Adam1025, I understand what you are going through. My LO was exactly the same when she was 0-3 months. The thing is andaming well-meaning persons who give suggestions and tips, but as a new mom, nakakastress sya lalo minsan because you are also adjusting as well as your LO. I agree that this fussy/crying period is brought about my baby´s immature digestive system as well as adjustment to living outside the uterus. Obserbahan mo si LO, is her stool very loose, madalas ba sya lumangad, how is your feeding pattern, is he/she gassy, does she wake up because of reflux (you can literally see milk seeping from the nose/ mouth). etc. Just trust your instincts and find the solution best for you and your LO. A lot of people told me that my baby had kabag but I did not believe at first. I tried all the non-pharmaceutical solutions back then like massage, starting night routine, warm bath, burping, inclining the headpart of her crib (to prevent reflux at night), more attention and carrying her all the time at night, etc... So one day, the "zombie me" just said the h*ll with it and massaged her tummy with a very minute amount of aciete de manzanilla and after an hour, LO threw up a bit and passed a LOT of gas and her tummy was not bloated anymore. She slept soundly after that. Then I started giving her probiotic drops and it helped more because her stool was not loose anymore and her crying bouts was reduced dramatically after I started giving her that. I am just sharing my experience sis. I am not saying that you should do the same.

When you lack sleep and have a crying baby day in and day out, it will really drain you, physically and emotionally. But when LO reached the 3.5 month mark, she was a completely new baby! She cried less, slept more soundly and I slept better at night. Being a new mom is a lot of work but just think that if others got through it, so can you. Just hang in there! Surround yourself with a network for support, like your hubby, yaya, family etc. Be clear of what kind of help you need from them. A lot of times they will give advice or sound like they know what they are talking about but just be gracious and thank them for it, but at the end of the day, you have the last say. :) So whether they judge you or not, trust in yourself that you know what it best for your LO. Take care of yourself mommy and Good luck! Enjoy these moments mommy because they grow too fast and you will miss everything. :)

Sis adam1025, we have the same situation. I think they call what our babies have as colic or in filipino kabag nga. May babies talaga na ganyan. Sa akin naman early evening ang start then if lucky up to 11pm but if not umaabot kami hanggang 2am.

Nung hindi ko pa naiisip na baka colic yung meron si baby, i feel so helpless din. As in may instance na nagsisi ako na bakit pa ako nagbuntis. But once i knew, mahirap pa rin but at least now alam ko ng it is not my baby's fault and it is also not my fault.

Every night i pray na sana bigyan ako ni God ng patience and strength to get through the night. Hopefully, by 3 months mag-stop na ito. My hubby is a great help. Pag uwi nya siya muna kay baby while i eat kung ano man ang pasalubong niya.

Medyo inis lang ako sa mom ko ngayon kasi i think she have forgotten na CS ako and i need all the help she can give but nowadays, ako pa ang mag-iisip at magprepare ng breakfast at lunch namin. Ayan napa-rant pa ako.

I'm reading a book now and may statement dun na tumutulong din sa akin, "This too shall pass!"

Hello! I felt the need to also share my story din. My little one is currently 7 weeks now.

The first few weeks was a roller coaster ride of emotions for me. I usually cry whole day for no reason. I had problems breastfeeding kaya i started to pump as early as 5 days post partum.  Imagine pumping every 2-3 hours round the clock. It was a hard first 2 weeks for me. Painful [textspeak!] sugat from CS, engorged breast, no sleep due to pumping, and attending to my baby's needs. I thought it was the end of me. End of my social life.

But eventually as days pass by, nasanay na ako mag sleep ng 11pm, at gigising ng 2am and 5am then 7am. That is if matutulog ulit si baby after feeding. My mom left when my baby was 5 weeks. She has to take care of my nephew naman na 7mos old. I cried the day she left. But that's it. I was able to handle it smoothly. We have a house helper pero i don't let her carry my baby. Di sya marunong. She just helps me clean the bottles, laundry, and sa food ko. So 24/7 ako lang inaasahan ng baby ko. It's hard feeding the baby every 3 hours and pumping every 3 hours din. But i'm able to do it. It's starting to be a scheduled routine na. 2 weeks ng wala mom ko and i'm enjoying every single day with my baby. Totoo sabi nila it gets better eventually. Less diaper change now, longer hours of sleep, i've built my breastmilk freezer stash and the best so far for me was when my baby smiled back at me. It was priceless. Tanggal lahat ng stress and puyat. :)

I feel you mommies, my son is 8 weeks old and just now it took me 2 hours to put my son to sleep, i know it doesn't sound long compared to others, but usually he goes to sleep in 30 mins to an hour! I was getting frustrated and said a little loudly "what do you want!!" And he cried even harder :( i felt so bad and hugged and kissed him and he stopped crying. Hay. It takes a lot of patience and truly a village to raise a baby.

I remember with my daughter, i'd walk her at night for 4-5 hours. I was a zombie. But then she was a formula baby so i slept when she slept, with my son i pump so even when he sleeps i have to get up every 2-3 hours to pump

had the same problem before nung 1st month ni baby, super iyak nya  as in every 5 minutes ang iyak. then when we visited the pedia, she said kung grabe na ang iyak ng baby, to the point na gusto mo na ihagis... may kabag yan. lol. kaya ayun, we changed his milk formula, after a month nag iba na behavior ng baby ko. he's a very happy baby now at 2.5 mos, tapos tulog na from 7pm-5am.

nakakabaliw talaga ang first few months with baby. di ka talaga matutulog kahit may yaya pa yan.

lalo na pag magpupump/ breastfeed ka. as in walang tulugan!

2yrs old na baby ko now and thank God, nakakatulog na mag isa na hindi kailangan buhatin. pero may times pa rin na may sumpong at iyak ng iyak pag madaling araw. nakakabaliw pa rin! he he

I'm a first time mom..

Lot of things ay natutunan ko lang through reading books and sites on how to raise your child.. her milestones etc.

Ngayon, 3 y/o na si baby.. What really frustrates me is that no matter how much I read, I learn and I teach my daughter, yung mga tao sa paligid niya sobrang laki ng influence sa kanya..

^sis sorry to hear about what your Yaya did to your baby. I hope she is all well. But I suggest u report to your Barangay para if ever the yaya tries to apply again as nanny within same Barangay may record na sya. Assuming kukuhanan sya ng barangay clearance bago I-hire Ulit.

My hubby humihirit pa ng 3rd baby.. Ay please, pahinga naman muna ako. I have been puyat since 2012 since having 2 babies na nasundan agad. But I know few More months of waiting at kakayanin na matulog at least 6hrs straight :)

ni ayaw mo sya masaktan, madapa kahit alam mo lahat yun ay part of growing up. I'm a 1st time mom too, pero my daughter is 3yrs old na.

Hi mommies. I don't know if this is the answer, but this may help. Our little one kasi never naging pahirap sakin since birth. Tuwing after maligo, dedede, then diretso tulog na yun.

^naku sis, parang nice idea nga yan. I also noticed na kapag bagong ligo si baby ang sarap ng tulog nya after ng feeding.  As in ang hirap gisingin to feed. Dati sa umaga namin ginagawa yung bath time nya at around 9am so from 10am to 3 or 4 pm, my baby is like an angel. Today, im changing her bath time sa gabi.

Ayoko naman na both day and night super haba ng tulog niya. Gusto ko may distinction yung morning and night niya.
