^Thanks sis, nag ask narin ako kanina sa friend ko around that much din quote ng OB niya sa kaniya kaya bigla ko narealized na ang mura pala ng quote ng OB ko kasi 20k for NSD and 35k for CS. Nag inquire ako sa Parañaque Doctors in case sa office ako abutan.

Bka depende sa body ng mom iyan sis.. may officemate kasi ako 1 month lang pumasok na siya maybe because malapit lang house nila walking distance lang. Ako mga 6 weeks kasi mag leave ako 2 weeks before ng EDD ko.

sa tingin ko sis tama si sis outandaboutph dpende sa katawan ni mommy iyon. kasi ako sabi ng boss ko kung pwede daw 1 month leave lang ako after ko manganak. pero ang alam ko kasi pwede namang mag 2 months. kaya depende kung kaya mo ng gumalaw galaw. ffeling ko nga ang 1 month is matagal pa din. hehe. feeling ko ilang weeks carry ko na pumasok. nyahahaha. pero i will leave 1 month after giving birth.

Also, what do you do on your first OB check up after learning your pregnant with your firstborn? I have no idea what to expect at all.

^Saang hospital siya sis?

First check up ko kay OB take niya history if first baby ba, no miscarriage ba before, highblood ba, diabetic ba, etc. Ask if kailan last mens period mo then mga possibilities na pwede mangyari sa ganoon kaagang stage. 5-6 weeks pa lang ako noong nagpunta ako kay OB, nagspotting ako that time so pinagtake ako ng pampakapit. Ultrasound din para makita if ectopic ba siya or hindi. Nasa loob naman si baby pero that time too early pa wala pa siyang heartbeat so pinabalik ako after 2 weeks. Pinagstart na din ako mag folic acid that time. Ano pa ba? Ininteral exam din niya if okay cervix ko.

Gave birth nito lang Feb 24. East Avenue Medical Center, OB is Dra Judith Briones.

I had a very traumatic experience with a small hospital, actually sa mga OB lang bago ako nagdecide na sa East Ave manganak. My original ob is Dra Felix of Ann Francis Maternity Hosp. and since we have budget concerns, nagtry din ako magpacheck up sa QCGH and Dra Felix referred me to her OB na affiliated sa QC Gen who is Dra Cablayan. March 24 pa ang due ko pero from Feb 16 onwards, may spotting na ko and brown discharge. Dra Felix took care of me naman and answers my late night text messages kasi hindi na okay yung pakiramdam ko bago niya ko nirefer kay Dr Cablayan. I have this vaginal cyst kasi protruding sa vagina at hindi pa nila alam kung nakakabit sya sa bladder. Hindi nila macheck because I still have the baby inside of me so the best option is CS nga. Feb 23, 9am. Hubby and I went to Ann Francis para magpacheck kay Dr Cablayan at 2cm na ako nun. We discussed about the budget and she quoted 40-45k all in sa QC Gen daw. That's for CS na and we were unsure pa of the money since napaaga nga kami and yung hinihintay naming money sa March pa dadating kasi expected due date is March24. Yes, we were very unprepared and confused during that time and panic mode na kami. She asked us na magpaultrasound to check kung okay na ilabas si baby ng afternoon. So we went home na and packed my things, went back to the hosp para magpa-ultrasound and when we went back to her to show the results, nag-iba lahat. Biglang ayaw niya na ako paanakin kasi Dra Felix called her daw na may budget concerns kami at baka hindi kami makabayad sa kanila specially the PF. Yes, we understand na concern nya yun but I was persistent na we can pay. Pero duda sya. Pinauwi niya kami at iyak ako ng iyak nun kasi nga, saan kami maghahanap ng OB na tatanggap pa eh manganganak na ko. when we came home, text na kami ng text sa kanya telling her to meet us na sa QC Gen para manganak na ako. She did not reply. We went to the ER ng QC Gen, a resident OB called her sa cp tapos sinabi samin na nagpapaanak pa daw si Dr Cablayan. really? This same resident OB asked us to pay for the downpayment daw ng OB, i-hand daw namin sa kanya. We were confused kasi it was an emergency situation and I'm already having contractions. We said uuwi na lang kami. Yung feeling na naninigurista yung OB mo, hindi ko kinaya yun.  We went home and my hubby contacted a friend who happens to know Dra Briones. It was already 8pm at sumagot si Dra Briones na she will accept me kahit hindi ako sa kanya nagpapacheck up. She's heaven sent. We rushed to East ave and I gave birth the following day, Feb 24. I really love this OB. She took care of me and I felt really safe during my operation. Parang mommy slash friend lang ang kausap. Very comforting. Sana una palang sa kanya na ko nagpacheck up.

Sorry sissies at napahaba na kwento ko. Hindi ko talaga makalimutan yung nangyari, pero sinwerte pa rin kasi napunta naman kami sa super okay na OB.

Stayed in the hospital for 1 week, big private room with terrace.

I can't believe na may mga ganung klaseng tao, God bless them na lang. Super safe ng delivery ko at nalabas ko si baby na healthy naman. Iba pa din yung panatag ka sa OB mo, kahit first time namin nagmeet, hindi niya talaga ako pinabayaan. It shows naman na good person siya, even the resident ob sa East ave, nakakachikahan ko, mabait daw talaga siya. Love pa rin talaga kami ni God. Hayyy

badgurl23 sis God is good all the time talaga, kasi gumawa sya ng way para maging ok ang delivery mo at para maging healthy si baby paglabas. kalimutan mo na lang si OB na pera ang habol. God bless na lang sa kanya. si God na bahala sa kanya. Thanks God ok kayo ni baby mo kahit napaaga ang delivery mo.

I was at St. Luke's Global City this wkend, my relative was admitted for 2 days. yung room na katapat ng room namin was a ward. sabi ng nurse it's usually the OB ward for the packages that St. Luke's offer... suprised ako kasi ang laki ng space ah. I was able to check the OB ward of Medical City, and the ones in St. Lukes are definitely way far better than Medical City. mukhang sulit ang OB packages ng SLMCGC, check nyo mga sis... actually I was able to take photos of the rooms, let me know if you want to see it.

mga sis, anyone who recently gave birth at Paranaque Doctors Hospital and Saint Claire Medical Center? Sa PDH kasi medyo i read few horror stories at di ko knows ang hospital na ito. Sa St.Claire naman, buong pamilya ko against dito dahil sa experience ng sister ko. Pero both hospitals accredited si OB and ok naman facilities parehas. capable of CS operation in case needed. ang quote nya saken 40k NSD and 70k CS. accredited din sya sa MMC pero di nya binigay quote.

^^^ wow thanks sa info sis Jaguar.Paw! matagal ko ng tanong yan, wala pa lang ako lakas ng loob tanungin si OB. pero mamaya pag punta ko MMC, tatanungin ko na din siya. haha. at least di na ako magugulat mamaya sa sagot niya.

^ you're welcome sis. naku, ako makapal mukha ko tinanong ko agad si OB sa mga rates nya sa ibang ibang hospital na accredited sya. i think normal yun sis para makakapag prepare ka din. buti nga mabait si OB kasi she is giving me choices at kung ano maganda yet affordable. so i guess ask mo na din sya agad para din mabigyan ka nya ng idea at sya din ng budget mo

^naglakas loob na ako magtanong kanina. ang quote ng OB ko, 180k (private room) for  elective CS sa MMC. so depende talaga siguro sa OB tapos 150K daw for semi-private. di ko na natanong yung NSD kasi CS na talaga ako. tsk. kung gusto ko daw sa SLMC-BGC, mga 10-15K higher. 

dahil dito, baka hindi na ako kumain. bwahahaha. ginisang kangkong at pinakuluan na malunggay nalang ang kakainin namin.
