grabe ang mahal manganak... i asked my OB in makati med kasi im giving birth on april and she quoted me na 150-200k semi private pa lang daw yun, haaay... im looking for a hospital na hindi naman ganun kamahal..

better change ob sis or look for another hospital na affiliated sya. that's OP ata and take note semi private. if sa other hospital and ob yan suite or private room na makukuha mo.

Share ko lang. Parang dumaan rin ako sa ganyang dilemma. Feeling ko sobrang mahal ng quote. Pero sa high-end hospitals lang affiliated ob ko na gyne ko na nung dalaga pa ako. So at about 24 weeks nako, i checked with a cheaper hospital. Oo nga, half the quote with same inclusions. Pwede na idagdag sa baby stuff budget or sa home improvements na pinapagawa namin. Kaso di ako kampante, sa amenities at services (di ko kasama sa ultrasound si hubby for the gender check! At kahit sa delivery, di rin daw pwede), distance (1 hour or so layo neto samin) at lalo na sa ob na narefer sakin (too technical mag explain, paparamdam sayo na pasyente ka lang, magrereseta ng kung anong ka tie up nyang gamot). Na depressed ako dahil dito. So with hubby's support, we went back to orig ob and told her of our budget limitations. She made some adjustments to lower the costs like sa cheapest affiliated hospital nya in a semi private room lang. But that's for nsd. Talaga daw mag hike up costs kung emergency cs. Para sakin, that offer was good enough for my peace of mind.

Considerations ko kase:
1. The doctor's competence, professionalism and compassion. Someone i can trust my life with and my baby's. Bonus na lang talaga kung likeable person sya.
2. Distance and accessibility from sa house namin. Kase nakaka panic yata kung magtatagal ka sa byahe while on labor.
3. Mas bibigyan ko ng weight ang baby care, facilities at security measures ng hospital kesa sa personal comfort ko. Ilan days lang namang tyaga yun.

ang mahal nga sis better shop around kung may time ka pa...im sure makakahanap ka ng makakasundo mo kung walang ibang hosp na affiliated si doc mo.

Hi Sissies, yung uote sa akin na 120k, 50k dun is yung hospital charges, the rest ay PF na ng OB (45k) anes (20k) and pedia (5k). Haaay depende ata talaga yun sa PF ng OB mo kung mapapamahal ka or makakamura tayo. Buti na lang at super bait ng OB ko, maalaga siya at anytime pwede mong itext or tawagan kase yung una kong OB kaya ko pinalitan kase parati wala, out of the country at kahit naka schedule hindi sumisipot sa check up. Mahirap na kase baka pag manganganak na ako wala din siya. Kakilala ba ng cousin mo yung OB kaya mas mura ang quote sa kanya sa delgado? Thanks sis

yung 200k na yun, naka-suite na kami malamang sa delgado.

mga sis in makati area, you might want to check out st clare's hospital sa may dian st... maganda rin dun, and not as expensive as mmc.

sa delgado naman, ang pinapa-prep lang sa amin ni OB is around 85K, OA na daw yung 100K. sinabi rin nya sa akin na she doesnt charge much when it comes to PF, and i trust on that. pero sabi ko kay hubby, iexceed namin yung ipon to 100k, just in case. kung hindi magamit... eh di maganda

im not sure how much sa st clare ngayon, sis... pero dun nanganak yung SIL ko 7 years ago, and tamang takbuhan na rin yung ng family ni hubby, since sa makati sila nakabase. maganda naman ang facilities nila, and in fairness, maluwag ang ward nila. sa mga times na nacoconfine any of hubby's sisses, 2 or 3 lang sila sa ward, na may 4 beds... minsan nga solo namin yung buong room buong stay.

Hey sissies!
As promised, i would like to share my experience giving birth at delgado hospital last feb 4. I am initially scheduled feb 8 for repeat cs pero gusto na lumabas ng baby ko at 37 weeks kaya night ng feb 4 dinala na ako sa delgado (diretcho na ako sa labor room bec my ob endorsed me agad para makatipid at ndi na dumaan ng emergency room) good thing parati ko ka text si ob at sinasabi ko kung na medyo painful na and contractions, lumabas na yung mucus plug, and na feel ko din yung pain sa balakang and lower back. We arrived at 9:00 pm and at 10:26pm lumabas na si baby thru cs. I was admitted for 3 days and my total bill is 113K, deducted na dyan ang philhealth. 77,000 ang total PF ng doctors and the rest is hospital bills na for me and my baby (no problem si baby and naka private room kame) For me, sulit naman sa delgado kase comfortable kame sa room, sobra mabait si OB, and alam mo na your safe kase ang expertise ng hospital ay magpaanak. I am just happy na ok kame ni baby and it really is important to save enough money and have constant communication with our OB. Thanks sissies

sis aspau, ganun talaga ang rate manganak. i gave birth at the medical city. i think halos same sila sa makati med. ang total bill ko at check out was 170k. plus parking. private room ako.

nawindang din ako sa rate but i was prepared because by the time i was 8 months pregnant, i was already told na malaki ang chance na cs ako. i still tried for a normal birth, hence the charges for my stay at the labor room, but they were right, cs pa rin ako.

maybe you can ask the hospital for their package rates. my sister in law gave birth at the medical city recently. cs din sya. she only paid 70k.

Share ko lang sa taguig pateros doctors hospital. Qoute sakin ni ob dra. Gallego 12k. Sa pacura ako nagpapacheck up. Thanks god din kasi affliliated din sya sa tpdh.. Un 12k net ,bawas n philhealth and yung sa 40percent kasi taga taguig ako.  no complications, ward din yun. 5 kayo sa room, aircondition ata.. Wala kasi sila private na avail lagi,isa lang kasi daw yun. so pag wala ka philhealth at di ka taga taguig 15k-20k.

Hi sisses! medyo matagal na akong hindi nakakapagpost dito sa GT kasi gusto ko magbasa lang pero when i came accross this topic sabi ko i need to reply kasi more on giving birth sa delgado ito.
i gave birth there 2010 via NSD. my bill was 55k all in na.

8k-PF anes
5k-PF pedia
6k-baby's bills
16k-mommy's bills (private room)
stayed there for 3days

sabi ni ob pag punta na daw s hosp ward daw muna dapat then pag ililipat na ko from RR ska daw iprivate. although alam ko na din naman yun kasi i work sa hospital. my OB there is very nice and bihira yun mag CS. monitor nya talaga size ni baby at kung kailangan ka i-diet, magddiet ka talaga kasi ayaw nya ma-CS ang patients nya. nagrereply din siya sa texts minsan nga nakakalibre na ko ng consultation kasi nagsasabi na siya sa text kung ano dapat kong gawin.pag hindi nagimprove saka nya sasabihin na pumunta ko sa clinic for check up.As for the service sa delgado super ok din. super alaga sila and may 1 doctor dun nakabantay talaga sa akin from the time na naadmit ako hanggang manganak ako. the nurses also there are very nice and accommodating.

Yup. Sa private room na yun, nung first day nga sa semi-suite kame kase wala png available na private (kaya siguro mahal ang charge ng PF, the doctors base it sa room na kinuha mo the day of your delivery.. Kaya I suggest na mag ward muna bago mag private room. Si hubby kase  ayaw sa ward kaya ayan tuloy napamahal kame hindi ko din kase siya nasabihan na ganun)

aw! mura pa din talaga manganak dito sa province, i'm in batangas btw, and sa Lipa Medix ako manganganak. Sa package na binigay ng OB ko, A/C room pang 2 patients,  kasama na PF ng OB, Anes, Pedia, New born screening, Vaccines (heppa,BCG), Hearing Test and Hopital bill - 40K for CS and 19,500 for NSD.

Awww! nakakalula naman yung mga quote ng ob nyo umaabot ng hundred k.

my ob quoted me 30-35k for nsd and 50k for cs less na ang philhealth. planning to give birth in  meycauayan doctors hospital by april.

Just had my first pre-natal check up last week sa CGH.
9 weeks na sya now. 
Excited na kami ni hubby kaya super ipon na.

NSD (no complications) 25-30k
CS (no complications) 50-70k

Semi-private and all in na daw.
